I would not use the agent again

Branch:
12 - 14 Windsor Road,
Services:
Lettings (as a Landlord)

I have just found out about BPS today by speaking with Alex at the office. I have sent a complaint to the Trading Standards office and received a response from a Peter Adshead who is the duty officer today, he said:

"I will make enquiries with my colleagues as I believe that other complaints have been received about the firm. However, I only work part time so it may be a few days before I can come back to you. Once I have some information, I will mail you again. "

I have also sent an email to the Slough Observer as I think this is a story that needs to be made public.

I would be interested in anyone who is wanting to take legal action to recover lost money.

I tried to contact Shane by looking on the BPS website that is still up and running. When you call the number it gets diverted to the other office, but they claim they are nothing to do with BPS, as they know the hassle they are in for. I have drafted a detailed and robust document, of not just my experience, but also a handful of other people that I have come into contact with and have forwarded it to Trading Standards. Shane was legally obligated to send tenant's deposits to the correct agency for safe keeping and therefore on every single instance, he has broken the law. The link that someone else posted about Fox Homes that he is a director of, shows that he is still operating in the country and has assets. If everyone on here contacts that person named in the message above at Trading Standards, they will be forced into investigating and hopefully the correct action will then be taken. I would also point out that Shane is looking at this web site on a regular basis, so be careful what you say and also be careful who you befriend, it may be him.

I also contacted trading standard people, I meet with them this week.

My name is Justin Newey and I own the Ascot office on my own. I bought out Mr Sprenger back in 2006 and have nothing to do with any of his business. Unlike you, I have nothing to hide, you should put a name to your review and back up what you claim, before you make a comment.

Hello Justin. Congrats on your buyout. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for the BPS 'goodwill'. LOL. I would guess that if this is the case, you are fully aware of the pain and heartache that your predecessor has caused so many people, so perhaps you shouldn't be so aggressive with your rhetoric. There are many people that have lost more money than they can afford to lose and have to sit back and watch will this sort of behaviour goes unpunished. I would ask though, why would you rename the company Berkshire Estates or whatever you have called it, surely you would want to get away from the tarnish image that will follow the BPS name? Not a great commercial decision if I say so. If you are totally independent from Mr S, good luck to you, I just hope that you can indeed restore people's perception estate agents. As for having something to hide, I would be more than happy to pop into your office and introduce myself, perhaps take you out for a slap up meal.

I also found out from Alex about BPS. My tenants only found out from myself writing to them. I saw a solicitor yesterday and on his advice I am trying to find out from the county court if anyone has been appointed as insolvency practitioner is. I am also contacting Trading Standards.....This company is really bad and totally unprofessional.

To Mr Newey - perhaps you would care to join us in our campaign of action against BPS, companies such as this tarnish the reputation of legitimate businesses like yours.

To 'King Khan', if you have met with Trading Standards, could you possibly share the outcome of your discussion?

To Shane - if you are tracking these comments, what went wrong? you betrayed the trust of your customers and whether legal action is or can be brought against you, you are still a fraudster and I hope your family can live with someone like you and the shame that brings. Yes this is personal but so is what you've done to the landlords/ tenants and their families.

  7. Where's Our Money, 13th January 2011

Further to Mr Newey's comments the other day, staing that he bought out Mr Sprenger back in 2006. I have in font of me a copy of The Property News (dated 12th Jan 2011) This is for the Ascot, Burnham, Cippenham.....etc and surrounding areas. On the back page of this publication there is an index listing many estate agents in the area and the following three agents are listed:
    Berkshires - Ascot
    Berkshire Property Services - Langley
Berkshire Estate Agents - Slough Central

They all provide a telephone number and web site and guess what.......? All the website addresses are www.bps-sales.co.uk

Now, far be it from me to question the integrity of anyone on this board, apart from Mr S, why would any independent estate agent (from 2006) still have such a link with the infamous BPS? I will leave it up to you all to decide.

Did you get any response from Trading Standards ???? I e-mailed but no response....

  9. S!, 14th June 2011

Actually I used to work in this estate agents, I can confirm that both Ascot and Langley DO HAVE separate owners than slough, Sprenger did own Cippenham but also got bough out that as well. Maybe you should collect FACTS before posting things on the internet "wheres our money". Good Luck!
