I bought my property near Ebbsfleet from Countryside in 2008 who instructed Solitaire as the management company. I had already heard of some horror stories relating to the company from a friend living in Greenhithe however i thought how bad could they possibly be on a new build home that requires little maintenance in the short term.
How wrong could i have been after being charged £450 for six months and therefore £900 over the year i was bemused to open a bill recieved in September 2010 for over £700 for 6 months service charges in advance, this is a 56% increase from the prior year in the same period! amazing considering the work they actually do is pretty shoddy and in most cases takes a long while to resolve!rnrnI have now since the start of September been continously asking Solitaire through email and phone conversations for invoices and a financial breakdown of how they can warrant potentially charging a 2 bedroom flat (block of 10) over £1400 for a years service charges. rnrnThe responses i have received have not answered any of my queries and have not provided me with any new information. As a result i have sent a formal leeter to the property manager to see if i actually get a response this time!
