I would not use the agent again

Currently trying to get back my deposit and rent they owe me. Completely slow and unprofessional service. Have been waiting 6 weeks for them to return rent they overcharged me for when I vacated (which I was assured would be refunded), are trying to charge me for things on the check out inspection which were clearly documented as damaged on the inventory when we moved in (which I have pointed out to them twice now yet they remain on the final report???).

Update: still no response from them about my deposit when I have been ringing them, just poor excuses so have had to lodge a dispute with the deposit protection scheme to try and get them to return my deposit or at least give a reason why they haven't returned. Do not rent with them.

Extremely dodgy agents, refuse to use dispute resolution and making me take them to court. All I wanted was for them to give me accurate check out documents but no they are incompetent and couldn't do that and refuse to co-operate. Have no idea what their motivation is except to try and rip people off. Have no idea why they are pushing for court as they have no chance of winning???

Chai, I wonder if you would be able to share the latest developments/resolution. We've finally received a response regarding our deposit, 5 weeks after moving out. They are trying to deduct a huge sum on utterly unreasonable grounds and so we are preparing ourselves to start the disputes process. I'd really appreciate hearing what happened next if you can bear to relive it. Incidentally, they also took rent from our accounts "accidentally", after we had moved out. Sick.
