I would not use the agent again

I cannot express fully just how awful we have found Bairstow Eves to deal with. Their complete incompetence, and total inability to return calls (or answer their phones) is almost laughable - if it wasn't so extremely frustrating. We have been chasing daily and never had calls returned: someone is off sick; someone is out of the office; someone will call back in ten minutes - they never do.
We were then lied to repeatedly, and when we finally decided to take things into our own hands we discovered the current tenants and the private landlord had also found the company impossible to deal with and were exhausted by them.
When I called to register a polite complaint with the manager, the response was completely childish - very defensive and argumentative, raised voices when I hadn't raised mine; to the point that I had to ask the manager to calm down and please listen to what I had to say - NOT good customer service!
Having looked online I now see that there is a HUGE amount of complaints about them as a company and so I guess we just hadn't realised what a bad reputation they have. I can't warn against them strongly enough, and the fact that they ballsed up and lost us our flat we now see as a blessing - we won't have to deal with them; avoid at all costs!!
