I would not use the agent again

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Ludlow Thompson if you are letting property.
Their only interest is in getting their fee. They ignored my instructions, let the flat to an unsuitable tenant for longer than I wanted. Since then, they just don't want to know about it. Late rent? No rent? No action from Ludlow Thompson.
Don't use them.

Couldn't agree more. If you're a landlord, avoid the hassle and choose either a smaller agency or just deal directly with your tenant. We pay Ludlow Thompson for rent collection, but I am quite certain that if it came to it, the agency would be incapable of retrieving the rent. That's speculation, I know, but based on their ability to handle enquiries on a day to day basis, you can only imagine how much Ludlow Thompson would get their knickers in a twist if they actually had to resolve a dispute. Roll on the end of our contract with them.
