I have struggled from day one with Ludlow Thompson. They gave me a 12 month tennancy agreement when it was meant to be an 18 month one, which has meant that they would not fulfil the arrangements on the rider sheet (including removing furniture and fixing my broken oven), but they had no problem contacting me when my rent was three days late. I have now spent over

What name did they give you as I am in a similar position where "ignore him and he'll go away" seems to be the customer service policy.

Ludlow Thompson are legally obliged to give you your landlord's postal address. Not sure about e-mail addresses or phone numbers though.

You might have an ombudsman case (www.tpos.co.uk) on the basis of their refusal/delay in supplying the landlord's address.

I submited a request for the landlord's details to six different people at Ludlow Thompson, including Laura Mathias the 'head of customer service' (haha. customer service!?!) Still no reply, and it's been 23 days. What happens now? Will they be fined for failing to comply with this legal requirement? Will they be forced to compensate me for all the trouble I have had? Or will the government be the only ones to benefit from this fine? I have been in touch with the property ombudsman, and they are reviewing the case now.

    Dear Still Waiting,
We are sorry that you have been having such a difficult time contacting us and resolving these issues. If you email customerservices@ludlowthompson.com we can hopefully move forward and sort things out for you.
    Kind regards

Oh, trust me, I have emailed you at customerservice. Several times. As well as about 10 other people directly. And still no response. Nice to see you monitor the discussion boards rather than getting back to customers!

I have now taken this complaint to the property ombudsman, who I hope will be able to get you to respond. If nothing else, I hope they will be able to get me my landlord's name and address, since I have been unable to do so. Does anyone else on here know what happens when your letting agent breaks the law by not giving you your landlord's details within 21 days of a written request for them? Because we are well past that 21 day timeframe with Ludlow Thompson. I do hope that I will get some kind of compensation for this hassle!
