I would not use the agent again

I am a current tenant with Martin and co in Nottingham and all our dealings with them have been absolutely awful!! We weren't given a moving in date until 1 day before and they never returned phone calls.
They make you pay ridiculous charges (check out fee..wtf?) and have no clear explanation as to what these fees are for other than "well it's to pay for your check out", "but what does it actually fund?", "well, to check out your flat you need to pay".....what?!?!
We have lived in our flat for 2 months now and still not had minor problems solved that we reported on our first day, despite several phone calls, letters and emails. They even had the cheek to suggest we arrange to have them fixed ourselves even though the problems were there when we first moved in!!
To deal with in person they are terribly unproffesional, rude and condescending which really takes the biscuit when we're the ones paying their wages!! They never return calls or offer customer service in any way. All they want off you is a signature and the money and that is all they care about.
Stay away from them at all costs!!
