I would not use the agent again

Viewed a property which had an offer made on it, the public notice in the newspaper stated any offers over that amount, please contact agent within 7 days. We were given the total run around by the agents, the person dealing with it was never available so eventually we put the offer in writing and hand delivered it. We never heard any further as to how the offer was received by the vendor and once again no-one was available to speak to about this, at the agents. We actually met up with another couple who had been to view the same property and had also had made an offer, they apparently had recived much of the same treatment. It looks very much as though for some questionable reason, the agents did not intend anyone else to actually have the possibility of securing the property, despite the required, public notice.

Two of the above posts show how Estate Agents CANNOT WIN. The first poster states the agent sold the property to another buyer at the last minute and they will never use them again... etc... This one above has the buyer complaining that the agent wouldn't sell the property (that was already sold to someone) and therefore they won't use them again, etc, etc. Cant anyone see the irony in this!!.
Listen, we act for vendors, VENDORS make the rules, we follow them within the law. Buyers beware. You will be gazumped by other buyers, or you may not be allowed to gazump. Deal with it stop blaming the agent. You do not make the decision.
