Not very happy with William H brown, I have been lied to on many an occasion. As a first time buyer they may think Im naive but I can see straight through the lies!
One property that I went to see was an open house, I regestered my interest in buying. They told me 2 other people had put in offers already, and that one was over the asking price. I debated wether I wanted to pay more than the property was worth so asked for a second viewing just to make sure, (I asked at 9.30am) they said that they would ask the owners and get back to me. I waited until 4pm and still no response. So I called back, they told me that one of the offers had already been accepted cause I took too long getting back to them that day (they were supposed to get back to me). I also found out recently that the property had sold for less than the asking price.
Then a couple of months down the line I saw a property through them that I like, I put in an offer and was told that it was accepted but the owners wanted to keep the property on the market while they look for a property to buy their end. Five weeks later, I called back asking for an update, nobody in sales was available so a message was taken and they said they would get back to me. I had no response for a week, so I called back. They told me that the vendor was still looking for a property to buy. I asked why the vendor is keeping the property on the market, is it so they are holding out for the asking price? The estate agent assured me that my offer was accepted and that they just keep the property on the market until the chain was complete. They also stated that was their usual procedure. They also assured me that anyone that rings regarding the property is told that the property has already had an offer accepted on it. So what is the reason for keeping it on the market if nobody is able to view it?
I am very frustrated and dont seem to get anywhere with this estate agents. They also hasstle me about using their in house services (morgage adviser etc) which I keep refusing, yet they still keep on asking.
