I arranged with the Canterbury office to view a property. On the morning of the viewing I got an automated text advising the viewing had been cancelled. No reason or explaination was given and no attempt was made to call me to arrange an alternate viewing date. I called up and spioke to the agent concerned and he advised that as the previous tenant had just left they wanted to get the property properly cleaned ( this despite telling me initially the property was empty) though why you would arrange a viewing for a property if it it was not clean escapes me. I subsequently arranged another viewing but later thst day my wife and I saw another property thst looked more suitable. I then contacted Mann to advise thst we would not be able to view their property as arranged(basic courtesy). The next day my wife and agreed we would like to compare the Mann property with the other property we'd seen. We arranged to view at 11:00 and at 11:05,with nobody from Mann I called their office.i asked for the agent who was supposed to be showing us around and was told

What agent could do to change your mind?
Been polite. Not broken the law. Been honest and not tried to sell us deals that weren't in our best interests. Gotten important paper work accurate first time (took them 3attempts and lost us 2 weeks on the deal)

What agent could do to change your mind?
Better service, train your staff properly and get rid of any team member who is obviously incompetent. Stop charging stupidly high admin fees when I had found out by other agents (from where I come from) that the costs are a fraction of the price.

It is impossible to get insurance before you move in! Most letting vultures simply whisk you around the property in about 5 seconds flat before you've had the chance to consider what you would need to put down on an insurance application for it to be valid. ...
