I would not use the agent again

I was unlucky enough to to rent with this ghastly agency, Purple Homes. I thought the name was cute. I realised that this was a bad move when the office contact didn't provide a proper inventory or a copy of the contract, then got evasive and unpleasant when pushed for this.
Purple Homes, in my experience, didn't keep spare keys, answer their phones, have regular opening hours, provide repairs, send documents, or do anything without being asked many times. Don't use this agent if you value your sanity. They have wasted my time and caused me untold, agonising stress.
Worst of all, they don't register your deposit with the compulsory nationwide scheme for tenants/landlords. They have a byzantine excuse for this, but it is still illegal, dodgy, a scam, rotten, etc.
I found the staff lazy and rude: 'wadda ya want' was the most common greeting. I would advise anyone who might be using Purple Homes to run a mile. Landlord or tenant, you will not get even the most basic service from them. They couldn't look after bog roll!
If I could give no stars I would.
This was my experience with one branch, they have offices in both London and Teesside.
