Terrible experience with Martin & Co Harlow.
1) Took 5 months to receive back our inventory report which was inconsistent with the state of the flat. I informed them about the inconsistencies but it was never updated in the inventory.
2) After my washing machine broke down it took them eight... Yes eight months to replace it almost the full length of the 12 month tenancy. I had to go to a laundrette which cost me alot of money and I had a 1 year old.
3) They don't reply to emails or return phone calls, you have to chase them up for any sort of update.
4) Tried to claim ‚£550 off me for cleaning from the dps when I left (such as ‚£120 to clean a bed sheet, ‚£80 to fix a broken blind) but thank God for the dps because after the evidence we gave they only received ‚£80.
5) Take pictures of the flat before and after leaving your place as they WILL try and bill you for items already damaged.
6) Spoke to franchise owner Neale Coules-miller to speak to his staff about their conduct but he doesn't care about tenant issues and gives the cold shoulder.
I would rather sleep rough than deal with these crooks again. You have been warned!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Not worth the stress dealing with them ever again.
