WATCH OUT! The worst scum out there. These guys are cowboys, they will try to rent out flats at at 20-30% premium vs other estate agents, they will push you to place you deposit even if they haven't agreed anyting yet with the landlord, to try to push them into the deal as well. They are all young, inexperienced, aggressive and arrogant. Don't be fooled by the decent website, flashy cars and bar-like offices, avoid this company like the plague.

I work for Foxtons...I am young (23), but I am very experienced (5 years in the game) and I am not aggressive. Remember we work for the landlord, not the tenant - you don't pay our wages - the landlord does! Common sense suggests that we will try to get as much money as possible for our client, as he get more cash, as do we in commission. We are a business, not a charity! Silly comment above, but you are entitled to your opinion. I have dealt with 100's of other agents and I can honestly say maybe 1 in 100 would get a job with us - the rest are awful.

5y in the game and you call yourself experienced? You have never witnessed a bear market! To all intents and purposes, you have been 8 months in the game. I met a head of sales of Foxtons at a dinner party a week ago. He told me that he had never seen a market like this in his whole career. Turns out his career was only 10 years so the same applies to him. You would think that market professionals would have at least studied what happens in bear markets (e.g. in other countries), but obviously not in the case of Foxtons. Maybe they think that the UK market only ever goes up. They are in for a big shock - no ownder their founder sold them last year!

Jimmy you should take more professional pride, this isn't 'a game', it's about where people live and providing a service for the public. Estate agents should act as intermediary's between tenant and landlord to the benefit of both parties, not just the landlord.
Why would any tenant use Foxtons if they knew that agents didn't care about anything apart from their commission.
You inadvertently come across as the stereotypical agent described in so many of the reviews above - a greedy, aggressive and unscrupulous automation.

I used to be an estate agent and I can assure 5 years does not qualify as being "experienced". In my new job I have to deal with estate agent and would never bother with Foxtons they are all inexperienced young kids who cannot tghink for themselves but just follow the company mantra.
