I didn't read these reviews before moving into our house and they would of worried me. However, our move was easy. Everything we ask for was done, house was professionally cleaned and we have had no issues at all. All our calls were responded to and when we asked to bring moving date forward they quickly responded and were able to accommodate. So far so good and we have no negatives to feed back. I take as I find and I would recommend.

I would like to recommend Savio and all his staff at Queensgate for looking after me and my wife over the last eighteen months as tenants. Coming from China for this first time to England they went out of their way to make sure our move was completed quickly and most professionally.
We let a lovely riverside apartment and when anything went wrong it was dealt with very quickly without any trouble.We are sad to leave this property but i have been re located back to China.
Many thanks for all your good service.

I'm a new Tenant with QR and have to agree with the other negative reviews. Their advert on Rightmove & Primelocation did not agree with the actual apartment, and parking is not allowed (even though it was shown on their advert & agreed by their Agent). Unfortunately I had to find accomodation at short notice, thus had to work on their honesty (verbal promises). However these promises have yet to bear fruit. Meter readings by QR were incorrect (luckily I took pictures when moving in) & I was expected to pay for the previous electricity usage (still awaiting a refund), furniture... (read more)

Renting from Queensgate was the worst decision we ever made. They are highly unprofessional, unreliable, rude, unhelpful, liars and take you for all they can! When we moved in our fridge wasn't working, they didn't fix it for 5 weeks. They promised to fix a few things before we moved (bulbs, bath tub) in and never did. The flat was dirty when we moved in. You can never get hold of them. We requested to speak with the landlord, they would never give us his details.
Trust me when I say, do not use them. They are abysmal and the rudest people I have ever met.

I have been with Queensgate for the past 6 years now.Since then Ihave been with them and moved into two different properties .the service they provided me was excelent .The property when i moved in was in excelent order and was professionaly cleaned and looked like brand new.If i ever decide to move again into another property i will only move with them .

I have rented a property through queens gate for the last three years! I think many of these other reviews are rather unfair and reflect people wanting things for nothing rather than a problem with the agents at queens gate.
I was able to move in with in a matter of days after viewing the property, the agent kindly set up the bills and everything for me. My flat was professionally cleaned before I moved in and I have not had any issues which haven't been addressed. One of my lights stopped working and an electrician came round a few days later.
I am moving out soon only because I am wanting to purchase a house. But I have been very happy with queens gate for the last few years and should I need to rent again I would definatley use them again.

Possibly the worst lettings agent I've ever used (and I've used around five or six different ones). Lied to us about the private landlord; turns out it is they who own the property! Fobbed off on numerous occasions that they would get things done; exposed wires in the bathroom took five months to sort out and only because we threatened legal action. They are aggressive and confrontational and told us that, "we don't need you, we have hundreds of other properties. We can throw you out whenever we want". Charming. And complete bullsh*t. They are nice right up until you sign on the dotted line. Avoid at all costs. I'm surprised Reading Borough Council haven't shut them down!

I have had no problems with this agency. The property I rented from them was is a beautiful condition the servise was excelent did not even have to set up all the utilities,every thing was taken care of by Queens gate. I would definately recomend this agency to my collegues.

For over 10 years I have rented 6 properties and dealt with many landlords/estate agents. I have never met such a dishonest bunch of fraudsters as Richard De Souza and his bunch of muppets.I rented a property which had problems which were never sorted out during the tenancy and when chased, they would only say '

I used Queensgate Residential of Reading a few years ago, and had no end of problems! If nothing else please do not use these people for anything! I really wish I had read these comments and reviews before I had made the biggest mistake of my life...
Why are they still in business?
- They will be nice to your face and polite before you sign on the dotted line
- They demand that the deposit is paid in cash!
- They are not interested in sorting out problems with the property. You have to keep chasing, chasing, chasing and chasing before they get fed up of you and decided to do... (read more)

Wish I had seen this website before I signed up, absolutely shocking service to the very end, capped off by them charging for a "checkout fee" when no-one was available to check us out, absolute cowboys and just hope you read this before its too late!

Absolutely horrific service.
They're very polite to you initially but that all changes once they have your signature on the contract and also your deposit.
Very rude, very aggressive, absolute liers and cheats - pretty much what everybody else is saying on here.
Please do yourself a favour and dont make the SAME mistake I did - LEAVE THESE GUYS WELL ALONE!!!

Awful people, only interested in taking your money.
Agree with everything that's been said here, at least it wasn't just me that had aggro with them!The staff are so rude & disinterested in any problems you have.

Where to start!
Delayed me moving into a brand new property by 5 weeks, each time breaking the news less than 24 hours before I was due to move, resulting in paying out expensive van hire for no reason. After the 4th time of being let down on a move date I asked for some kind of compensation, I was told to 'read the small print'.On moving into the property, what was promised from my initial visit during construction: wooden floors, leather sofas, built in wardrobes...turned out to be: cheap carpeted floors, plastic 'leatherette' sofas, and no built in wardrobe as promised. The most incompitent company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
They are difficult and not at all customer focused.Do not reconmend this agent - I have reported them to the office of fair trading and so can you.

Phew, sounds like I've had a lucky escape, I've been looking for somewhere to rent and found Queensgate. After speaking to them I found them rude and arrogant. I then spoke to some friends who have had similar problems with them as well. Best avoided.

This company has the worst reputation I've ever heard of. If only I had realised this before becoming one of their tenants.
The property I rented was incorrectly described as an executive apartment. Truth be told it was an ok flat but nowhere near executive level.
On other levels the staff are rude, uncooperative and will point blank lie to your face. Very insolent and downright infuriating.
Be careful if you have a deposit held by this agent, as they will take a huge chunk of your money no matter how clean and in order the property is on your departure.
I guess the best way to put my thoughts and feelings of Queensgate would be DO NOT USE THEM and don't recommend them to anyone.. In fact I'd advise people looking for a rental to avoid Queensgate like the plague.

By far the worst landlords I've ever had the misfortune of renting from.
Impossible to get hold of, needlessly aggressive, excessively untruthful, no customer service skills. However they are consistent at least, 3 people I know who've also rented with them have had the same experience. Rent with them at your peril.

Meter readings by QR were incorrect (luckily I took pictures when moving in) & I was expected to pay for the previous electricity usage (still awaiting a refund), furniture was damaged etc. The Inventory of Contents list was incorrect and not dated thus I'm challenging the validity (still awaiting a response thus have put it in writing). Prior to signing I asked for the Tenant / Agency SLA (Service Level Agreement) to understand what service I can expect - I'm still waiting for this document thus doubt it even exists. The positive was that the apartment was clean (albeit many marks on the walls, blinds, carpet). My experience with QR in a nutshell - misrepresentation, failure to deliver on promises & no support. I'm still waiting for a response from QR after 5 weeks. Prospective Tenants - stay away. They will promise you the world, but once you sign they disappear into the sunset.
