We had a somewhat troublesome sale as we had a defective lease and needed a Deed of Variation to proceed with the transaction. Our buyers had a difficult solicitor and we also had to complete before the stamp duty 'holiday' so had a strict time scale. In spite of this, Natasha (the manager) was so efficient in chasing the process, and communicated immediately at every stage with myself (vendor), the buyers and each solicitor. Without her dedication to keeping things moving and without her eternal optimism we are doubtful we would have had proceeded to a successful sale. She presents herself in a smart, professional manner, and is an asset to the already successful Pedder brand. We would recommend Pedder, and this office in particular, for any prospective vendors or buyers for professionalism, speed and communication.

While other agencies describe themselves as the best in south London, Pedder is the only one who is justified in the claim. And, believe me, I have gone to enough to say so! All the others with whom I had extended dealings (and many with whom I had very brief dealings) were stupid, rude, and very, very, very dishonest. Bill was very nice and helpful and encouraging, and never told me a single thing that was untrue or even exaggerated. Also, they have far better properties in Anerley than the other agents, and their properties in Sydenham and Crystal Palace are of a very high standard as well.

It is often the case that good service goes unnoticed so we felt it important to relay our feedback. The sales team, in particular Scott, Jimmy and Tim at Forest Hill branch, far surpassed our expectations in pushing this sale over the line. The level of commitment shown to dealing with enquiries, the respective solicitors and assisting with the flow of information, particularly in the latter stages of the sales process were most impressive.
My wife and I agree that the service delivered this team was really exceptional in very difficult market conditions.

Excellent, professional and hands on service; DO USE!! The agent was incredibly efficient, would always return calls within an hour. Great coordination and communication between the seller-buyer and both solicitors. Even the documentation was smoothly arranged. Very proactive approach - no empty promises but a competent 'can do' attitude. Highly recommended!

This was a very stressful sale due to endless enquiries made the buyer's solicitor. Alex who was dealing with the sale kept things going when I was almost ready to give up. Always pleasant and helpful would recommend Pedders.

This is the first time both myself and my partner have dealt with an Estate Agent (past the viewing stage) for a potential tenancy. Everyone we spoke to at Pedder, in particular the Lettings Negotiator that showed us the property, was very helpful and friendly. At no point did I feel we were being persuaded or pressured into anything, instead on viewing the flat we were given enough time and space to make our decision. We were also fortunate enough to meet the previous tenant who gave us valuable information on bills and Council Tax etc, and said that he had been very happy during his time renting the property. One thing I was very surprised by was the amount of paperwork required for a letting. I'm told though that this is just the norm when dealing with an agent, so I guess it's just to be expected. All in all a very positive experience.

Pedder were the last of the six estate agents I visited while flat-hunting in Crystal Palace and the ones from whom I ultimately ended up letting a flat. The lettings negotiator I dealt with was polite and helpful, and although the paperwork and admin took maybe a day or two longer than I'd have liked (that said, this is my first time going through an estate agent, so maybe I'm being too demanding!) I was pleased with my experience and especially pleased with the beautiful flat I ended up with. I would definitely go back to Pedder if/when I move again (hopefully not for a while though!).

Prior to this experience, I did not have much faith in Estate Agents. Everything changed when I instructed Natasha Osunde of the new Pedder shop in Sydenham. She had totally changed my opinion by the time she left the valuation. I instructed her straight away, as she was head and shoulders above all the other local agents I had seen. From that point on, it was a breeze. I got a really good level of viewings straight away; they were always dropping me a call or email to let me know how they were getting on, and they got me a fantastic offer in just 3 weeks. Without doubt, the most useless, consistently curt and generally rather obtuse group of people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! I just cannot fathom how, when you pay an arm and leg for the "admin", you receive next to nothing in return - actually in fact, you get you get ambiguos and discourteous information for the cost of just a few hundred pounds!
Subsequent dealings became increasingly more frustrating. We have finally moved in and I can only hope we never hear from them in any capacity, every again!

The agent turned up for our viewing with the wrong keys to the flat, explained that he "had a feeling" earlier that day that they were incorrect (but hadn't bothered to check beforehand, which would have saved us a completely wasted journey). As far as apologies go, his couldn't have been less sincere. He did, however, promise to contact me in the week, to arrange a viewing for the following Saturday.
Has he contacted me this week at all? No.
When I called the agency today to ask to speak to a manager, I was denied but was, instead, passed on to the same agent about whom I wished to complain. When I explained that I was disappointed that he had failed to contact me before the viewing, since he was all but sure that he didn't have the right keys, he just said that he wasn't psychic. Nice.
I know estate agents have a bad reputation generally, but I had never really understood that, until this experience. This is the first time I've thought an estate agent both cretinous and discourteous.
