   From a tenant's POV - a really awful agent. I wasn't told about the renewal fee for my contract and wasn't given the option of a 12 month contract in the first instance, so imagne the lovely surprise I had when a letter landed on my doorstep after 6 months telling me that I had to pay another £125 to stay in my home.

   I have no idea what the agency fees I paid them are used for - their maintenance department is utterly useless and it takes many phone calls for them to take action, if they ever do. No one in any of the departments I've spoken to seems to give a damn. If I didn't like my flat and the location so much I would not be staying with them - after my current contract expires I will not be renewing it with Palmer Snell and I will never be using their services again.

   Be wary of these cowboys. They will happily accept a holding deposit from you for a property and then push the move in date further and further back until you are unable to move in. Then they keep your deposit. Very unethical and they are being reviewed by Trading Standards.

   USE PALMER SNELL OR HAVE A WEEK IN A MORROCAN JAIL ! IL GET PACKED THEN.

   they got everything wrong from the start and i mean everything in the end they offered £250 off the selling fee if i gave them one more chance i did and then they got it all wrong again so i cancelled the contract they said we have a leagle contract ,i said take me to court and i will give you the best advert you have ever had ,no they did not take me to court.

   I am not a complainer, but I want to warn others about this company.

   There is an expensive fee for everything; every letter sent seems to involve a fee ranging from around 20 to 70 pounds.

   They advertised a rented property, I moved in, they then upped the rent saying 'it was a mistake on the website'. They advertised the property as having a garage, they then rescinded on that saying the garage was not available, and again 'it was a mistake on the website'.

   A plumber gained unauthorised access to the property whilst I was at work - no one bothered to tell me, no explanation of how he gained access. It’s quite disconcerting coming home and finding new taps...

   The landlord wanted to sell. So, upon moving, they then deducted £200 from my deposit for 2 days rent – apparently their view is that because they scheduled their checkout inspection for the following Monday, I therefore owed then an additional 2 days rent.

   Avoid these rich cowboys like the plague.

   Tried to sell my property with them, had 4 viewers (so called) in 3 months, wasted a month saying there was a couple interested, which I think was a load of bull crap.
   Totally unproffessional, remind me of a bunch of amateurs, I don\'t recommend anyone to use their service.
   There are certainly better estate agent firms out there to use than these bunch of time wasters.

   The rudest agent I have ever come across. She had no manners, didn't care about me as a customer, didn't ever seem to be in the office, didn't ever answer my telephone calls, clearly in the wrong job and not a good impression of Palmer Snell. I will never use your services again thanks to this employee and will ensure my friends and business contacts hear about what your Weymouth office has to offer...... nothing!!!

   I signed up with PS as the agent they sent round was very good, however, that was just about the last time I saw him. Every viewing brought a different agent and the branch manager was extremely pushy when it came to the first offer we had on the property, even though it was way below the asking price. It seemd they just wanted a quick sale at any price.
   When the property was sold we were constantly badgered to push the solicitors etc. for a quick completion even though we were already doing so. It seemd as if once they had the sale they were now working for the buyers. Also, now they have the sale they never return calls.
   To sum them up: pushy and unprofessional.

    I don't know what the management fee is for. They don't check the property properly and you have to pay extra to insure against non payment of rent. They keeping saying they are professionals when I question what they have missed in the checks. Get over yourselves - you just let property and badly at that.

    What can I say except absolutely useless, here is a list of issues we have had with the company. We have phoned them many many times and all they do is lie, aportion blame elsewhere and fail to act in any way. Fed up with their incompetence I contacted our landlord directly who was unawre that any of the below issues were even happening. He also will not be using Palmer Snell again. We have lived in our current flat for 5 years, simply because we are looking to buy and don't want to damage our mortgagability. Else we'd been long shot.

    Had numerous problems with the flat I rent. Any time I called Palmer Snell they either did not return my call or where very rude to me!

    Problems included heating issues, noisy/intimadating neighbours, and flea infestation, which is still not cleared up.

    For customer service alone I would say stay well clear. Have never been spoken to so rudely ever before yet it is this way every time I call up!

    Both the house we sold and the one we bought were dealt with via Palmer Snell (different branches though). All in all 4 of the 5 houses in our chain were being sold by a Palmer Snell branch, so you'd have thought they'd keep on top of things and COMMUNICATE, but actually we found that their method of keeping the chain alive was to lie by omission and fail to return calls. Yes it all went through eventually (after 6 months of havoc), but I will never use them again.

    We are now selling the house we bought that time, and asked PS to value the place. Their valuation was

    We have used Palmer Snell to rent our property out. We have moved to Australia and when the tennants moved out they gave them permition to leave belongings in the garage. Now they won't move them. They gave the bond back and now Palmer Snell are not even answering our emails.
