I rented a property via the Wokingham branch. The team were consistently friendly, efficient and always very helpful. Northwood were extremely professional and deliver a very high standard of service which benefits the tenant and also the Landlord (I would assume).

Rude. Take ages to send incompetent tradesmen round to bodge maintenance jobs. Avoid avoid avoid.

These guys are an absolute joke. Will never deal with them again! They constantly need reminding of things you've asked, they're always passing the buck. If there's a problem with our rental property they send the landlady out to try and sort it. I mean from a landlord/lady's perspective what it the point in even using them.
Charging every 6 months to renew the contract!!? Whats all that about? Bloody expensive printer they're using!

We have terminated contract 2 months ago, and still waiting deposit back. We always call them and they never return back. Finally they said they will send cheque but still nothing come true (10 days past).

Maintenance a joke - 2 weeks minimum before anything is sorted, including washing machines, showers etc. Maintenance is outsourced and so they have no control over timings etc and the maintence staff lie about phoning tenants etc. They blame the house owner for slow communication...not true. Charge you every 6 months for renewal contact fees and their inspections every 3 months pick up faults you have already noted in your original inventory (make sure you keep a copy!). Also charge you if you don't return your contract quick enough. Try to charge you for anything they can damage wise, even if it is not damaged they charge you for a specialist coming out to check it isn't damaged! New problems started just after contract renewal, so wishing I hadn't signed now!

It took them 2 months to fix a leaking bath, from me giving the go ahead to the bath being replaced. In this time the tenant couldn't use it without flooding the flat below. The workmanship was terrible, and it took me a further 7 months to get them to put it right.

We have rented a house managed by Northwood Wokingham for 3 years and I am extremely happy with their service. They have been very efficient and fair in looking after the interests of both us and the landlords and have been more than accommodating in ensuring a smooth check out. During the course of our tenancy, they have made regular inspections with constructive feedback. We have never felt inconvenienced during those times. I would definitely use them in the future either as tenants or as a landlord and will not hesitate to recommend them to others. Peace of mind is valuable to any landlord and this is what Northwood Wokingham offers.

From initial viewing of the property that I took to the application process to getting the flat, moving in and a few small pieces of works that needed done everyone in the Edinburgh office have been more than happy to help, very reassuring!

I have to say that they have always provided a first class service on both sides (ie sales & lettings). I have particular high regard for Leanne and Ruth as I deal with them closely on many current lettings and they are always very efficient and professional. Northwood Liverpool are one of the best letting agents I've used in the Merseyside area.
Leanne and the team are totally commited to customer satifaction, I've been with them for a few years now (Platinum sceme) and they are always polite, cheerful and professional in what they do (something you dont see nowadays!!!)Had an issue with shower in the property, but this was dealt with same day by there approved tradesman and was very reasonable, clean and professional.
They do exactly what it says on the tin: "Relax we"ll take care of it"
Would highly recommend to anyone.

Despite some initial problems with securing a property, dealing with the Northwood team was a pleasure, very professional and true to their word with very good communication via phone or email. All problems and queries were dealt with quickly.

One star is too good. Where shall I start, hidden charges which you're not told about before signing the contract like renewal fees and even fees if you don't sign and return paperwork within seven days. Maintenance is terrible, two weeks without a washing machine and a week (and counting) without a shower...gutter is broken and causing damage, reported by not attended to, now I wonder who will be charged for that. A 'not bothered' attitude from staff after renting from a wide range of private landlords and estate agents, it is official - NORTHWOOD are terrible! Rent with them at your own risk (and sanity).

They charge you for anything and everything they can, they even charge you for renewing your contract every six months. They are constantly inspecting the property which feels like a real invasion of privacy. Our property is run down and obviously has been neglected whilst it has been rented. Overall I would say they are more money than they are worth and if you can rent through another agency do so.

Northwood Wokingham are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nick and the team are professional, supportive and they really care about their customers, properties and their business. After a terrible experience with Romans in Bracknell, dealing with Northwood Wokingham and signing up to their guaranteed rental Platinum scheme has been a breath of fresh air! They are very prompt when responding to queries and are very helpful and most importantly they always deliver on their promises. I live Australia and they have ensured the whole process has been smooth and painless despite the distance and time difference. I would thoroughly recommend the services Northwood Wokingham offer landlords.

I have been dealing with the letting department of Northwood over the past few years at all times, I have found them courteous, efficient and professional. My Rented apartment was well managed and all of maintenance issues and general query were dealt with promptly and to the highest standard.I further more received plenty of feedback regarding issues which may of occurred whilst living at the above mentioned address.I would highly recommend Northwood lettings to anybody looking for an efficient and trouble free service.

Terrible dealings - the list is endless. Almost non-existent communication, they ignore emails and messages left on their answering machine, their inventory had nearly 100 errors/omissions (and included items we did not leave in the property so we think the inventory after we left was never done - but an attempt was made using the photos taken for marketing, on which our belongings are shown). We have had our house rented out with Northwood since the summer of 2005. We chose Northwood because we were very impressed with their professional approach and experience. As we live abroad, it has been great having the peace of mind knowing that if there are any queries, or problems etc, that they will be dealt with professionally,promptly and fairly. We have a great relationship with the Northwood team and it is nice to know that if we email or telephone, that everyone knows who we are and which property we are talking about.

Northwood are the managing agents for our investment property and we have always found them to act in a professional manner. I am very pleased to be able to recommend them for being both conscientious and reliable. They are known for their professional approach, both dealing with owners and tenants and they have proved themselves to be more than capable in this respect.
I cannot recommend more highly, when looking for the right agent to act on your behalf, to choose someone who has had experience in the rental market and is both proactive and professional.

We have had to take legal advice and we will now need to return to the UK to view the property. We are presently complaining through the complaints procedure as our local (Crewe) office will not answer our questions.
