I have had a few issues of late with Northfields and was dubious when Clare Dunne got in touch to orgainse the half yearly check & annual British Gas Check. But Clare was like a breath of fresh air. Clare was not only very professional but human! She completely understood that her clients worked & was more than happy to work round me trying to take a days holiday to accommodate the visit. Clare was always in touch, keep me completely informed and checking up on my progress but she was never intrusive. On the day, Clare called 30 minutes before arrival & arrived spot on time. The whole process was a absolute pleasure and done with ease. I work in a service environment, so to be treated with the same respect and understanding I give my clients was wonderful. I would hope to get to deal with Clare again. She is an asset to Northfields.

Jamie was helpful and friendly throughout the letting process. we had a few setbacks which were dealt with by Jamie efficiently and proffessionally. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie to others.

Overall very good service from the Pitshanger Lane office.
David kept us up to date with information ( good & bad ). Even calling from his home, when he knew we would be in late!
The sales brochures and photo's were brilliant. And from introducing the buyers, to completion in six weeks, is very good.
We were just unlucky to have two potential buyers, who agreed to buy, but only confessed{ held up there hands }, to the fact ,that they had found an alternative. When they were asked why it was taking so long! It's a pity we do not have the Scottish system!Was this review helpful? Yes

Jamie was very good in all aspects of helping us. The property we were looking at actually asked us to pay our money up front for a year's rent each! This was a lot of money and instantly we were concerned! However Jamie was nothing but understanding and constantly communicating and negotiating with the landlords on our behalf about the contracts and the tenancy agreements. Jamie was professional and efficient yet she had a very personalised manner to her on the phone that made us feel like we could contact her frequently and know she'd be fine with that and our own individual needs.

Clare has been very helpful with setting up meetings with the contractor in order of assuring I did not go without a faulty fridge for to long. She has been easy to talk to and made the process a lot easier then what I have been used to.

A very efficient and successful experience with the team at northfields. They undertook the responsibility of leasing my apartment and within a very short period sourced various candidates and completed the search with tenants that fitted our requirements.
The communication with the team was very open and timely. Further to this the administration process was very straightforward.

I felt very comfortable communicating with her and I highly recommend both the Jamie and Northfieds. Excellent service. Just wished we signed up earlier. We were with another agent for 7 months and only obtained about 8 viewings. Then we switched to Northfields and within 2 months we got many offers and finally received a good offer and accepted the sale (also after receiving multiple viewings).

The team was wonderful to work with. We mentioned what we could and could not afford and were looking for and within a few hours, we had put a deposit and started working on the lease! Louise, Noura and Sharon were on hand everytime I rang which could not be appreciated enough!

Northfields were terrific during the process of moving to a new rental property. I was nervous of moving house as it had been a couple of decades since I had last done so. They 'held my hand' and found me a terrific property, explained everything to me and spent a lot of time allaying my various fears and panics. They were friendly, professional and helpful throughout. Big thanks to Sam, Sharon and Louise in particular, but everyone I dealt with in the team was great.

I managed to find a new tenant within 2-3 weeks of contacting Northfields (Shepherds Bush)! Jamie and Louise were absolutely magnificent from the day one!!
Nothing seems to be too difficult for them and they always have time to talk to me or e-mail me, whenever I need any help from them. Their knowledge of the local market is second to none.
I honestly can't praise them enough.I highly recommend Northfields.

For the last five years, Northfields Letting Agents have always provided me with a very helpful and efficient service. A few years ago I tried a different local agent who was slightly cheaper but they could not find me a tenant and blamed in on the area I was letting in! I switched back to Northfields and within 2 days they had found me a tenant.
I intend to continue to use Northfields in the future as they know the area and are friendly and reliable.

Right from our first phone conversation, Jamie was helpful and pro-active without leaving me feeling that she was trying to push a property on me at any cost. Unlike many agents, she checked that properties were OK with dogs before I wasted my time by going to view them, and was quick to get responses to questions. 10/10

Jamie Lee helped us initially and was very straight forward and helpful. We liked te flat and Jamie Lee made it easy for us to get it. Both Jamie Lee and Louise dealt with all of our paperwork with no fuss or Problems and we couldn't of asked for a smoother switch over!

Dealt with both Noura for Northfields and Danielle for Pitshanger rentals and they were both extremely friendly, courteous and professional. Was made to feel that finding me a suitable property was as much a priority for them as for me. Would thoroughly recommend nad would use them again if looking to rent in teh area.

After searching for houses to let for many months with many agents we found our perfect house with Northfields.
What made Northfields shine out from the other agents was they recommended houses to view that were suited to us, saving alot of time. It turned out the first house that we were shown was the house we chose.
Noura took us through the process of viewing the house to signing the papers, she was a pleasent, efficient person to deal with.

Northfields agency has been our main/sole agent to rent our flats for years. They are professional and always try to get the best possible tenants. I mainly dealt with Sharon Shankster and Louis McMenamin. They are helpful, understanding and a pleasure to deal with. Others in the office e.g. Sam, Edita, Pauras and Sarah Brown are also helpful, nice and professional.
Over the past four years Northfields rented our three flats to many good tenants. Only once I had very careless and untidy tenants who severely damaged the flat and its furnitures. However, I do not think that it was possible for Northfields to know about them from the references taken beforehand. Sharon, Louis and others were very supportive in helping me to deal with these tenants, taking advice from Northfields legal team.
Overall I highly recommend Northfields to landlords.

Absolutely the whole reason why estate agents are given a bad name! I feel sorry for genuine hardworking estate agents who have to put up with this agency ruining the trade others try so hard to work in. My partner and I were tenants via Northfields and have been at the property for over 3 years. We had a wonderful relationship with our landlord until Northfields decided to play underhanded tactics to turn our landlord against us with lies (which we have proven to be completely wrong). Pitshanger Northfields branch dealt with the letting of my property in a professional and efficient manner. I was delighted by the service offered by CARL JENKINS, PROPERTY MANAGER in particular.
He was efficient, contactable and able to always sort out issues
Repair prices for firms on his books were excellent.
He made renting out my property a pleasure
His service in particular is second to none and often hard to find with an estate agency

This last summer I had to plan a relocation with my family from France to the UK.

We were using two other prominent agents in London to source a suitable place for myself and my Fiancé as we are new to London. During this process we were able to find the current building as being offered by both Agencies. However for reasons outside their control they were not able to secure a unit. As a random encounter I passed the Northfields Paddington branch as it was near the Hotel we were staying in and found another unit in the same building being offered by Northfields. We walked in and encounter if it was still available. Silvia had us at the unit within an hour, and thereafter assisted us with all of the arrangements so that we were able to move into the unit within 3 days. I would definitely recommend the branch and Silvia in particular.

Moving away from a place called home is never easy, moving away from your hometown, your country even more difficult.

I met Cathy Byrne from Northfields.
From start to end, my dealing with her was brilliant. She was punctual, well presented, and efficient.
I also liked that she brought along a mortgage advisor (Anthony Cusack of Select Mortgages) to answer any financial questions I may have, as she was aware that I was selling my property to buy another.
Both were friendly and informative, and gave me lots of advice and guidance although it meant I would no longer be putting my flat on the market at this current time.
My previous dealings have been with pushy agents, who would just like a sale and I was surprised at just honest they both were.
I will definitely be using Northfields in the future, as I have had a very good experience with them, so would also highly recommend them!

We had an excellent experience finding a flat to let through the Shepherd's Bush branch of Northfields. Jamie answered all of our queries promptly and professionally, and found all the staff quite friendly. Jamie and Louise made the move in process easy, and northfields use a very thorough company for themove in inventory. I will add that we had much less luck with the Ealing branch: a scheduled viewing was canceled only a few hours before our appointment (apparently with a voicemail left though I never seemed to receive it, so we traveled needlessly to the office) and the agent never followed up to provide a rescheduled time. So five stars for the Shepherds Bush branch but I wouldn't recommend the ealing branch.

I was looking for an exceptional standard apartment and was already fed up with all the run down places other (5 different!) agencies were showing to me when I entered Northfields office at Spring Street. Silvia greeted me with a very warm smile and once I explained what I was looking for she instantly said that she has 'The Perfect Apartment' for me. Indeed the place was gorgeous and I have decided on the spot to take it. I have to mention the assistance of Fabio - perfect gentleman who took care of all the details of the lease.
I wish I had gone straight to Northfields/Paddington when I started looking for an apartment, it would have saved me a lot of time and stress. I can only recommend working with Northfields Paddington; I have already recommended their service to my friends.

I would like to confirm that the Northfields letting staff were absolutely fine through out this entire process and there were no problems with them directly (aside from the usual sales pitch which all estate agents do).
Having handed in notice to our existing flat landlord, we have twice put offers in to Landlords through Northfields which were accepted by the Landlord in question.
Northfields took our holding deposit and began the process of requesting references and ID etc.

I have used the Ealing Broadway office of Northfields for a number of years and have found them very helpful and professional every time I do use them, however the new team presently in place at the Ealing Broadway office has been excellent with all aspects of listen and finding me the best possible tenants, they have been excellent with there communication, promptly keeping me informed of each step, they have made this whole experiance very easy and stress free, you can always tell when a team works well together and this one does.

I came to the country from Iceland with my girlfriend to go to school in London. We arrived to London and stayed at a hotel for the first 4 days while we looked for an apartment. We walked in to Northfields in Ealing where we met Rachel, Mark and Sam who actually took us in and helped us with everything from getting a great apartment in an area that worked for us as it was close to our schools. They helped us settle in and I could always pop in to ask questions about anything and everything and they could always help. They are a great team and they made us feel so welcome. I would always recomend them to people if asked.

Don't trust everything they tell you. Quite how they justify their commission fees I don't know as the customer service was pretty poor once your offer's been accepted.
They will tell you all you want to hear before getting the property but after that if you ever have a problem they are the last people you will find some help.
They lied about the price for a studio we were suppose to rent and they didn't want to show the agrement ahead, only one 1 day before we were suppose to move inn. I had to insist so many times to see the contract and terms & condition beforehand but they keept finding excuses. Finally I manage to get them, only to find out that we had to pay much more in terms of rent. when I asked about my deposit back (forget about it)Was this review helpful? Yes

We recently sold our house with Northfields Estates. Our original negotiations with Darren, the Sales Manager, were very professional and we had an open day arranged very quickly with quite a bit of interest. We had a buyer very quickly, but had to accept an offer lower than we would have liked as she was a 'cash' buyer. From that moment on we didn't really feel like the client, more like the buyer was more important. but hey, we made the sale and all was well in the end. They were very efficient, almost 'dogged' at times, but we got what we wanted in the time scale that we wanted in the end, but we did have to put our foot down at times. but yes I would recommend them.

At the beginning of 2011 I engaged Northfields to market my property and within a short time it sold. Subsequently I came back looking to purchase a buy-to-let and in no time they came up with something that fitted the bill exactly. What can one say? Northfields claims to be a multi-award winning agency but my experience of the service they are offering is very poor. The team is extremely disorganised: from the agent with the -usual- false promises, the admin who cannot get anything right (whether it\'s the dates, the conditions or the price) and the arrogant manager who tries to squeeze the last pennies of you, even after you agree to a deal...

I recently used Northfields to find a one bedroom flat in Hammersmith. My first call to them was unsuccessful but the 2nd time, I was put through to Jamie-Lee who was most helpful. Everything was fine until the previous tenants left with the keys and no-one could have access to our prospective flat. This spouted security, functionality and aesthetic issues with locks needing to be changed (requiring 2 visits), appliances being untested and the flat & outside space being extremely dirty.
The long and short of it is that it took 2 weeks for the flat to be considered habitable (primary issues remedied) and I got sold rubbish about how some work (secondary issues) couldn't be done until we'd moved in, which only compounded my belief that some representatives tell you... (read more)

As a prospective vendor I was extremely disappointed that nobody returned my calls (or email) when I was looking to engage Northfields services. I have used Northfields to manage the letting of my property for about 6 years, and have been very happy with them They have found some terrific tenants for me, very quickly and all been done with little fuss. As a point of constructive critisism for them, I must note that as a busy office, it has been the case on several occasions that important and clear instructions and communications I have given have not been dealt with as requested. However, once a problem has been identified they are always pleasant and quick to sort things out.

I have let my property in Hanwell through Northfields since 2005. If ever there has been a problem or query I have come to completely trust Pauras Shah (accounts) who epitomises excellent customer care. He is clear, thorough and also refreshingly thoughtful. He replies to e mails quickly, and is an excellent professional. He is the reason I continue to use Northfields despite competition from other local agents. Thank you.

I used Northfields to re-let my one bedroom flat and was very impressed by the sheer volume of interested parties they showed around. We got a couple agreeing to pay the full asking price within a week or so. Special thanks to Rachel and Pauras (for clearly up a later account query promtly).

If I could award negative marks, I would. My advice to potential customers would be, don't trust everything they tell you. Do your own homework as well. Quite how they justify their commission fees I don't know as the customer service was pretty poor once your offer's been accepted.

Thank you so much Rachel. Rachel was the only estate agent whod id not give up on us and maintained a professional attitude throughout yet very friendly. Rachel also did not take it personal if something was not to our taste, she just went back to the office and kept on looking for us. Thank you Rachel for taking charge, my partner and I have very intense jobs and dont have time to phone estate agents but with Rachel you could guarantee she will touch base once a day and bounce ideas off you.
You deserve every single penny you get in relation to the comission and more.
When phoning the office, everyone was always friendly and very helpful. Great service so far!

I have been searching for nearly a month and all other agencies have messed me about so much that when I contacted Northfields I didn't think that would be any different. In fact only 2 days being registered with them I found the perfect family house thanks to Rachel Young. She listened to what my specifications were and showed me in total 3 prospective places and the 2nd one was the one. Whereas with other companies some used to e-mail me the list and never bother chasing it up or taking my details and never bothering returning my call. Arghhh I'm nearly 8 months pregnant and if I had not contacted Northfields I would have probably found myself homeless when the baby arrives. So yeah great great customer service.

We sold a residential property through Northfields Shepherds Bush - what most impressed us was their detailed knowledge of our local market - no hyperbole and bluff, just a grounded approach and a concrete list of potential buyers which quickly turned into a good sale. I recently used Northfields Estates (Northfields Branch) to find a flat in the Brentford area of London. I knew exactly what I wanted. I was called by Zoe Horan who I found to be very professional in her approach and within two days she had found me an absolute gem. After moving in I had a few questions regarding bills etc which Zoe also helped me sort out. I would highly recommend Northfields as an agency and I would certainly recommend dealing with Zoe Horan is you want quick, efficient service.

I am just about to move into a great new flat let by Northfields. For the first time in 6 moves since I came to London 4 years ago the whole process has been virtually stress-free. From the start, Daniel and Niki at Northfields have given me the feeling (again a first in my experience of letting agents) that as a tenant I really mattered. They have always responded quickly to every question I threw at them at every stage and really took the pressure off. Their whole approach gave me every confidence in them. They are friendly, helpful and super-efficient at getting everything sorted without a fuss. Maybe that means the stress has been on them - sorry! but you would never know it.

I rented a flat through Northfields for 18 months and the service we received was great. The team over there, in particular Andrew, were great. Started looking for properties with Northfields just a week ago, and I'm now almost moved in! The process of finding a property and signing up was very smooth. The letting agent who dealt with me, Becky, was very helpful. The whole process went as well as could be expected. I signed up with another agency (they will remain nameless) who did nothing! Someone recommended Northfields and within an hour of phoning them they lined me up with 5 lovely properties to view -one of which i have been living in for the last 3 months. The staff are hyper-efficient whilst being super-friendly. I can't recommend them more highly.

Never called back when they said they would, didn't even lock up properly the first time they did a viewing, unrealistic (in my opinion) initial valuation of the property.
BUT they did find lots of possible buyers and in the end it sold ok.

Never, in your entire life, trust these people. They will tell you all you want to hear before getting the property but after that if you ever have a problem they are the last people you will find some help from because all they say is 'it is not our business'

The sales brochures and photo\'s were brilliant. And from introducing the buyers, to completion in six weeks, is very good.

. They then went on to offer him incompetent, inexperienced advice to try and evict us with a notice of no more than a week! If it hadn’t have been for advice given to me by an acquaintance who is a property professional in a respectable company elsewhere, we would have been homeless. AND the reason why they did this? Simply because they had a person willing to pay more rent which meant a nice new commission fee. What is more, only after I pointed out basic tenancy law (which a junior negotiator ought to know) they replied to acknowledge a ‘misunderstanding’ had taken place..... how can telling us “you have no options and will have to leave by a week, our word is final” be considered as a ‘misunderstanding’? Furthermore, not a single simple ‘SORRY’ was uttered in any form whatsoever, a senior staff member couldn’t even be bothered to simply pick up the phone or email us, instead it was all passed on to an admin girl to deal with. I hope the next tenants are not faced with this problem purely driven by this company’s greed for another commission fee. Tenants beware, once they have made their commission out of you, thereafter they couldn’t care less. Landlords be careful, their lack of industry legislation and bad advice could wind you up in a lot of trouble. Just to add, I have documented evidence of all I have mentioned in this review, my only reason for writing it is to warn others, if it had not have been for someone I know advising me on what to do, they would have thrown us out by conjuring up a story that we breeched our contract.  agencies were showing to me when I entered Northfields office at Spring Street. Silvia greeted me with a very warm smile and once I explained what I was looking for she instantly said that she has 'The Perfect Apartment' for me. Indeed the place was gorgeous and I have decided on the spot to take it. I have to mention the assistance of Fabio - perfect gentleman who took care of all the details of the lease.
I wish I had gone straight to Northfields/Paddington when I started looking for an apartment, it would have saved me a lot of time and stress. I can only recommend working with Northfields Paddington; I have already recommended their service to my friends.

Having handed in notice to our existing flat landlord, we have twice put offers in to Landlords through Northfields which were accepted by the Landlord in question.
Northfields took our holding deposit and began the process of requesting references and ID etc.
However twice with two seperate landlords in question after accepting us as tenants have pulled out at the last minute. Leaving us with nowhere to live. This is absolutely ridiculous and given the hoops as tenants that we have to jump through including deposits, holding deposits, reference requests, and letting fees, frankly is taking the mickey.
If Northfields are unable to even provide a basic assurance that once the landlord has accepted the offer we have put forward and we have handed the money over to Northfields for a deposit, that we can then move in, it puts me off using them ever again.

, appliances being untested and the flat & outside space being extremely dirty.
The long and short of it is that it took 2 weeks for the flat to be considered habitable (primary issues remedied) and I got sold rubbish about how some work (secondary issues) couldn't be done until we'd moved in, which only compounded my belief that some representatives tell you what you want to hear, (after being told that they could have all our issues fixed before we moved in). 4 weeks into the tenancy and the final issues are now being fixed by the landlord.
I often found myself having to chase for information despite regular requests to be contacted even if there is no news, which is frustrating when going through such a torrid time and had to resort to keeping a written record of communcations.
The only redeeming factor is that Northfields officially apologised and accepted their responsibility for undue delay, poor administration and distress and awarded compensation as well as covering our at cost expenses for the delay (travel, extra move costs etc).
