The team at Clapham South not once, but twice, got a fantastic offer on our property; both times over asking price, and both times within an extremely short timeframe (just a couple of days). I was particularly conscious of my previous experiences of trying to sell our property via other estate agents where I was promised the world and this never came through. It was an entirely different story with Marsh & Parsons - we were told we would have a offer within a few days and within a few thousand of the asking price, and this was absolutely right.
During both the final sale and the sale that fell through (which was of no fault of Marsh & Parsons) the staff were both very helpful, polite, friendly and went the extra mile.
I would not hesitate to recommend Marsh & Parsons, and we hope that in the future we can work with them again.Was this review helpful? Yes

I Instructed Marsh and Parsons around the 22nd of December 2011 and by the 11th of January 2012 they had a cash buyer and a price agreed. The sale there on was rather complicated due to the freeholders and my neighbours share in the freehold not to mention other irritations along the way including building insurance.
I truly believe had it not been for Tom and his determination, patience and professionalism whilst dealig with my solicitor, me, the buyers solictor, the freeholders, chasing the neighbours and holding everything together it would have fallen through.
Tom is an absolute pleasure to deal with and he was worth every penny of the sales fee and I will certainly try and instruct him again.

Currently using their property 'management service' which I advise against.
The property manager in charge did not even know what floor the flat was on, when I mentioned 'It is a basement flat after all.." she exclaimed "I didn't know, that makes sense now"
Whilst I understand staff cannot physically view all properties a basic thing like that is essential especially when the address has an A after the number or to at least ask??

Nightmare from the get go. As soon as we had an offer accepted the corner cutting began. Clearly only concerned about the landlord relationship - not with the tenant. From the tenant side we kept up communication of faults to do with the property - these were often ignored or dealt with several weeks later. This included having no hot water for half the month of January. Also provided us with meter readings in an inventory at the start of the tenancy which were for the wrong meter (locked in a shared cupboard) then advised it wasnt there fault but that of a third party. Not worth the hassle dealing with this lot - incompetence personified.

Marsh & Parsons have managed my property for 13 years and the first 8 were great I dealt with just one property manager. For the past 5 years since Foxtons bought them out it has gone from bad to worse, I have had to deal with up to 4 different managers in one year. the result being in a deterioration in the condition of my house and in any relationship with the tenant. When work needs to be done, and I mean expensive stuff to my house, like repair of damp patches and room redecoration, no one checks the work before the job gets paid. I then inspect and see substandard work done without a leg to stand on. I ask to get things done and I return a year later and find that northing has happen.. There is no accountability, They do not care. They just take the money & run. They all talk a good story and there is never any follow up, especially when I have complained. Do not ever allow them to managed your property they are below sub standard. All their good people run off to better companies.

They really are just after the money aren't they? We told them the exact type of people we wanted, they ignored us and stuck a family of four in our tiny terrace house. We wanted a 2 year lease but they gave them a 3 year one, we were overseas so they rushed it through (I'll admit that was our mistake in trusting them to do what we asked).
In terms of the wrong tenants they said they are not in breach of contract and there''s nothing we can do AND we are forced to pay them a finders fee for three years - for people we don't want.
i only hope someone reads this review and at least thinks twice about using this company.

We have rented a flat with this agency for 18 months and has been a nightmare! They were suposed to manage the property and we have had 3 different property managers, all os them very incompetent. They never replied when we had a problem at home ( for example, we had our patio flooded for 1 week before they decided to do something about it) and we have been complaining about the big damp problem of the property since we moved in. They have been sending different builders to check it, ask for a quote...etc during all out tenancy without fixing anything. In the end, we have move out and now... (read more)

Awful Company. It's a well known fact that Estate Agents are scum of the earth, but this company is by far the worst that I have ever dealt with. Since the start of our tenancy we have been passed from pillar to post and have had to deal with 5 different people. They take no responsibility for their own actions and the incompetent individuals that work for them. Irrational and quite frankly a sham of a company.

Terrible. A bunch of public schoolboys with no common sense. Very good at getting foot-fall but just not the correct type of clientele. Shocking service.

I must admit that i had misgivings about dealing with any agent in London when searching for a property to rent. I was ever so pleasantly surprised with the lettings team in Chelsea, they were simply divine to deal with and really helped the process be as smooth as possible. I work for a large organisation and am constantly referring them to colleagues, all of whom have had a great experience too! They nailed it!

Relatively straight forward when we moved into our flat- but moving out has been like talking to a mime. No returned phone calls, check-out process and return of keys was left extremely late and caused massive inconveniences. All in all, bad experience. Would not use or recommend again.

Great lettings team, really helpful every step of the way, referred to all people I know who are looking for property. I think a lot of the negative reviews come from people misunderstanding what the actual agents job is! Some people (tenants) have no initiative!

We sold our house through Marsh and Parsons in Barnes. They were pushy and unhelpful. We would not use them again.

Were overly helpful and obsequious when showing us properties. Once we moved in, they went completely AWOL. They were supposed to be responsible for property maintenance and communicating our requests to landlord but did nothing. All in all large company trying to make the most by offering the least. Wouldn't recommend it to my enemy!

Not sure where to start really, originally I had another negotiator helping me with my search I was then passed on to a rude arrogant man who showed me properties that were not only hugely out of my price range but where not in the area I specified. The only good thing about North Kensington was the good looking Manager.

Firstly, I do not work for Marsh & Parsons, I've never used this company in the past.
Recently the property that we rent was flooded. Upon ringing Marsh & Parsons we were given clear instructions on who to contact and how to arrange for an emergency plumber (as it was Friday of the long weekend).
We paid the plumber, and I thought to myself, we're never going to get that refunded.
The plumber needed to come back and Marsh & Parsons arranged for subsequent follow-up visits that were billed directly to them.
To my surprise after forwarding the reciept and our bank account details we were provided a full refund within the week.
I have been incredibly surprised by their service, and fully rate them.

Have dealt with the lettings part of Holland Park office, and agree with previous reviewer that Karen Aldrich was fantastic.
The Sales team at North Ken branch have been appalling, staff were rude and misled us in their dealings. I should imagine for the vendor they were great, but for the purchaser we were pushed into a corner and would have backed out if we hadn't already spent a load of money.

Rude, unhelpful and have little understanding of what they are talking about. Attempted to withhold money from me that they should have been collecting from the landlord. Pursed it all the way until a property lawyer pointed out that their contract is with the landlord not the tenant The Fulham lettings office is not only incomeptent but headed by an individual who is angry and hysterical if challenged, despite being totally in the wrong. I know the landlord and myself will not be dealing with them again. Be warned, do not use!

My dealings with the Holland Park office was incredible, from the valuation to the day my tenants moved in. Karen Aldrich in particular, the negotiator I dealt with was extremely professional and very informative along every step of the way.

At present a letter has officially been written to the CEO who has passed it onto as Associate Director to deal with..
He is not dealing with it in a satisfactory manner either, when I tried to make an appointment to meet him he has said a phone call is better. I will be turning up at Head Office to speak to him as matter have reached a point where they have failed in a duty of care to me as a client in their contractual obligations in regards to their attempt to manage my property.
