we were shown several properties to buy to let. All the veiwings were on time,exceptional proffesionalism to our needs as a property to rent out. They worked to our budget to help us get the best for our money. We also got our morgage from their inhouse morgage service through James Webster, again exceptional service.We have also had discussions to use their search for a tennant which has proved invaluable as this is our first time at a B.T.L investment. A complete package from the Maitlands team at Plympton. I would recommend them to anyone.First class.

Hi The two main staff I dealt with are claire biddlecombe and david price. I will say all the staff at maitlands work well as a team and were always keeping me informed to the best of their abilities. So all staff at the saltash branch deserve alot of credit for their team efforts with me on the sale of my house and the buying of my new house. Thank you ...I will however like to say claire worked extremely hard to bring everything together for me and went the extra mile at trying to keep her me happy, she really does feel for us as customers and does everything she can to get things... We have dealt with Maitlands Sales and Lettings for several years from the initial purchase to the renting out of our flat in Plympton. Their tenant find service has always proved to be efficient and dependable, finding tenants that have always been excellent. They have always been willing to help us with lease renewal and finding tradesmen when needed which as we live 200 miles away has been an absolute asset. I would strongly recommend them to any tenant or landlord knowing that Claire and her team would provide a truly excellent service.

Great team who worked together to keep me informed at all stages of the process and kept looking when properties fell through to find me the right property. David did everything he could to keep all parties happy. I would point my friends in there direction when looking for property in future. I am so confident in the staff there I am even letting them manage the building for my tennants

I used Maitlands for both selling and purchasing properties in the same area of Plymouth. The people we dealt with i.e. Paul, Leah and Charlie could not have been more helpful or knowledgable. From the first instance of our first viewing Leah was with us. Paul followed up our viewing to explain the vagaries of buying and selling and managed the whole process extremely well. We even used the solicitor they recommended, who was also outstanding.
There was, what could have developed into, a serious hitch 2 days before completion. We informed Charlie and she sorted the problem out within 3 hours.
I cannot recommend Maitlands highly enough. They actually made an extremely stressful process almost enjoyable. They also had a great sense of humour, well they liked my jokes anyway.n God bless them all and thenk you from both my wife and myself and our 2 dogs.Was this review helpful? Yes

My personal experience when using Maitlands has been very good. I've experienced a friendly, punctual, efficent service with an excellent team prepared to work extra hours to sell my house. I believe a lot of the time you pay for what you get and it was certainly the case in this in stance. If you want to "sell" your house, not advertise it.... use Maitlands.

I found Maitlands to be enthusiastic without being suggestive or pushy, and they were always on hand with any help that we required. The viewings we had were carried out in a professional and honest fashion. It was also good to find the Mortgage Advice Bureau in-house.

Advised by Claire on lettings to get Darren to look at property as it in her belief should have sold,Agreed with a different estate agent to go multi agent .Darren visited my property on the friday and advised me to change way it was being marketed to offers in excess of.Both agents then started remarketing property on the saturday.
On the Monday first viewing at 13,30 hours with offer in place later that day.I have achieved exactly the figure i was after.
Darren and Charlie from the sales department delivered exactly what we wanted and exceeded are exspectations.

This is the fourth time we have use Maitlands to find a tenant for our rental property. Sue and Claire did an excellent job and found a tenant straight away for us. They are always very helpful and always kept us informed of the throughout the period. No hesitation in recommending them.

I was in the difficult position of trying to sell my empty house in Plymouth whilst living in North Yorkshire however the Maitlands sales team made the whole process extremely easy, keeping me updated on every part of the sale. Although I dealt with the whole team during the sale, Charlie seemed to get the short straw whenever I rang up asking for the meter to be read, paperwork to be collected from the house for the solicitor or old carpets to be removed! She was always willing to help and never once made me feel like a nuisance. The whole team were very willing to answer my questions and were always cheerful and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend them.

We sold my late mothers bungalow through this office, sadly my mother passed away part way through the sale the staff at this office despite being informed of my mothers death still insisted on asking for her when phoning and even sent a copy of the final invoice addressed to her today upon completion.After visiting the office with my sister and telling them that I along with my husband we were executors of my mothers estate they still cotinued to contact other members of the family. We tried on two occasions to find out wether the buyer wanted to buy the cooker they promised to find out and get back to me it goes without saying that they didnt get back to me and I had to ask the buyer myself when he came to the bungalow to ask if he could measure up for the fridge /freezer. Let me finish by saying that due to the lack (or no sensitivity) if they where the only estate agent left in the country I would do it myself.

I live some distance from the property I sold in Saltash and therefore had to trust that the agents I chose would keep me fully informed and advise me of any problems. I am pleased to report that Maitlands in Saltash were most reliable and professional and whilst the fee charged was higher than others in the area, I think in this case it was worth it.

From beginning to end the whole process of selling of my house was extremely professionally carried out as well as Natalie showing great interest in my property. The purchasers of my house had a particularly difficult time and long time of trying to obtain a mortgage but Natalie kept me informed of the progress all the time. If I needed to contact the branch and Natalie was not available there was always another negotiator to speak to who could give me the relevant information I required which shows good management and communication skills in the branch.
I also purchased a house from the same branch and I would thoroughly recommend both the branch and the team who were also pleased to see and speak to me at any time.

Robyn was allways professional. She kept me up to date with the vieweings oon my property and gave me quick feedback.
I was also looking to buy another property, Robyn showed me around several properties and was always enthusiastic about the properties and able to answer any questions I had, if she didn't know something she always contacted the vendors and phoned me with the answers, which is more than I can say about other agencies I used.

I have bought and sold numerous properties none have gone as smoothly as this. I rang up in the morning, I was able to view that afternoon, put in an offer and by noon the following day we had reached an agreement. We completed very quickly due to it being a probate sale although that brought its own problems in a way. David kept in touch all of the way through he was on hand for any queries and helped us constantly. Overall a very professional service I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Maitlands in particular David and if I have any further property deals they will get my business. Thanks again Maitlands.

We have been looking for a property for a while now, and I can honestly say that the service we have received from Charlie at Maitlands is head and shoulders above the other agents we have dealt with. Charlie has kept in regular contact with us and always called when she said she would, she's shown my elderly parents houses on our behalf (before she started her normal work hours) and called us whenever there was a new property we might be interested in. We were even offered a guided tour of Plympton as we don't know the area that well! When we finally met Charlie, she was just as nice in person and really knew her stuff. Any questions we had about areas and the houses we viewed she was only too happy to answer and nothing was too much trouble. She is a credit to Maitlands - Thank you!

Having had excellent service & help from David Turnbull & the Ivybridge Maitlands team, previously, we had no hesitation in using them yet again. This time with what we thought might prove a difficult task i.e. marketing & selling our former buy to let property as a going concern ( with a good tenant who we hoped to protect & allow them to continue to rent the property when a new owner/landlord was found) the team were positive & supportive in the challenge. Within a very short period they found a purchaser looking exactly for what our property offered, namely a turn key, excellent & easily managed investment .

Whilst still a Trainee - Ms Ford took over the property when it had already been on the market for 3 months. She didn't hold back - advising me very firmly to revise my marketing strategy/pricing, her advice was sound and effective; suddenly prospective purchasers were again crossing the threshold. Ms Ford worked extremely hard to sell this property and I am certain would have done so but for my decision to remove the property from the market because of a change in my circumstances. She was obviously genuinely disappointed by my decision , which was in no way a reflection on her ability. If I decide to remarket the property in the future, if she is still with Maitlands Plympton office,she will be chosen to handle the sale.

We were really pleased with Maitlands, when we sold our house it fell through whilst on holiday abroad as you can imagine we were really upset. But they did everything possible to get us another sale as quick as possible as we were very near completion. In the end we still got the property we wanted.

The property was to be sold following the death of a close relation. I did some research on the internet to see which agents were marketing nearby properties and which were getting offers. It appeared that there were 3 main contenders. The website of one was so inpenetrable, we immediately discounted it, leaving 2 to visit. When we went to Maitlands, they managed to be enthusiastic without ever losing sight of the reason for the sale. What impressed us most was Jan's almost encyclopaedic knowledge of potential purchasers. She had a list of viewings to organise before we'd left the office. By maintaining contact with our solicitor throughout, Maitlands took a lot of the pressure off us.
The other main reason for rating Maitlands so highly was that when Jan wasn't in the office, all the other staff with whom we had contact, were fully briefed and just as knowledgeable and helpful as Jan. We received feedback from every viewing, without having to chase it.

After buying through Maitlands, I decided to sell the house through them based on the excellent service previously received.
Maitlands offer and excellent service, always keeping the customer informed regarding viewings and the feedback; and reviewing the marketing of the property.
I must mention that Claire in the Saltash office was outstanding. Her valuation was realistic; she offered advice on simple things which could be done to make the property more marketable and negotiated a deal which suited all parties. Even after the sale was agreed she worked persistently to progress completion asap, often going beyond what was expected.

We had all our dealings with Darren Desmond who was professional at all times. The viewings were unpressurised but he was on hand to answer any questions we have. When we had chosen a property and put in our offer he was efficient and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Over some time Dave and the team at the Ivybridge office provided a first class service. Irrepressibly positive, and totally amenable to our changing circumstances, the office provided exactly what we needed, displaying flexibility and a can do attitude that greatly assisted the house sale! On viewings they were engaged with the viewers, knowledgeable and encouraging, and they really made the effort to make the sale. They were always on time, and kept us fully updated for all the viewings and the result afterwards. When we were (finally!) in a position to sell, within days they had viewers lined up and the eventual purchasers at the property within days of re-listing it - and we sold in a very short time indeed. I appreciated the honesty displayed concerning property values, and the valuation was, in the end, spot on. Thank you to all the team -

We found Maitlands to be speedy in getting the house on market, good with feedback, they kept us up to date at all times. The main Plymouth agent Darren was faultless at all times and could quite easily give agents a very good name, he was honest and transparant at all times, if i were to be completely honest, I feel that Darren would be better suited in a central Plymouth location rather than being caught up in the Plympton market, I wish him & Maitlands continued success. The independent financial advise was welcome, used and also very highly recommended.

I found Maitlands to be very efficient. They were excellent at keeping me up to date with the progress of the house sale. I also used Maitlands to buy a property three years ago and they were just as professional then so I have had great experience with both buying and selling through this agent.In particular Jan in the Saltash office was lovely to deal with. She always returned my calls and was very reassuring and friendly through the whole process. The house was sold within a week and a half for a very pleasing price and went through from start to finish with minimal stress over just 9 weeks! I would always reccomend Maitlands.

Excellent service throughout the sale of our property. Clear and simple information on the fees and services. Unlike other estate agents we have dealt with in the past they did not gloss over any issues related to our sale and gave honest and straightforward advice. Communication was fantastic every step of the way and we feel that they did everything in their power to market our property, in ways other estate agents just don't bother to do. I would have no qualms in recommending Maitlands if you are considering letting your property, they provide an easy to understand service, communication was good, they rang or emailed when promised, they take time to match clients, which we feel is important when renting.So all things considered an excellent and efficient service.

If you are considering buying or selling a property in the future look no further than Maitlands.
Before we had Sarah from Maitlands come and value our house, we unfortunatley had one of the big National agents to do the same.
The difference was huge.
Sarah from Maitlands had done a lot of background work and brought a huge amount of market informattion with her.
The national chain did nothing apart from say \" You have a lovely house and I really want to market your house\"
Sarah found a buyer for our house within days and the ongoing communication with buyers / sellers and Maitlands was very good.
We achived the full asking price for the house and am very pleased with the transaction.
Maitlands everytime if you want brilliant service.

Having been with a different estate agent for 18 months we decided to give Maitlands try. We subsiquently completed our sale 6 months later during one of the most difficult times of the housing market. Throughout the process they offered good honest advice and couldn\'t have worked harder to hold our chain together. Some customers may find thier positive tenacious approach a little pushy but it certainly worked for us. We have had dealings with all of the estate agents in Saltash over the last 5 years and in our opinion they are head and shoulders above the rest.

I can't speak for the other Maitland branches but like to think that Saltash is the flagship and the standard for others to follow.
No pressure, relaxed attitude and a smile in the voice as well as the face. All made it easy for me. Their efforts are appreciated and if I had a house a day to sell, Maitlands of Saltash would be the agents to sell for me.

Recently purchased through the Saltash office. Where to start? Natalie Eller and her team were faultless in every respect. Any time I need answers,no matter who I spoke to, everyone was aware of the latest stage. Sunday viewing was arranged (big +).

All in all, can't think of any reason why you wouldn't use Maitlands of Saltash (does what it says on the tin).

I have used Maitlands in Saltash 4 times in the last few years to sell our house. We move a lot! They have always been excellent selling the property quickly for a good price. I find them friendly and approachable but also very professional. I will continue to use Maitlands and would recommend that any one trying to sell in Saltash uses them and in particular listens to their realistic valuations, As an experienced buyer/seller it is obvious some other agents over value just to get the business.

I could not praise Maitlands and in particular Vicky highly enough for all she did to help us secure our dream home! From the moment we met her we knew she had listened carefully to what we wanted and what was important to us. She was really personable and did everything she could to speed up the move and make it go as smoothly as possible. The whole team at the Saltash brabch were fantastic, especially Carole. They managed to offer a friendly supportive service whitout compromissing thier professional standards and attitudes. The mortgae advice offered on site was superb as well. When we found the hose we wanted to buy they changed the marketing strategy and the house was sold in 2 weeks! We put our house on the market and moved within 3 months thanks to the team at Slatash. If we were to sell again I would look no further than Maitlands and have reccomended them as well. Brilliant!

Dedicated, honest, professional, enthusiastic and diligent, are a few words we would use to describe Maitlands. Vicky has been dealing with our sale, we cannot praise her or the team at St Mary's branch highly enough, it has been like dealing with friends. Any enquiry, question or worries we have had have all been dealt with swiftly by the team. Our sale fell through on the Monday, clearly disappointed the team did the best to pick us up and gave us the confidence to believe the next offer was not far away. By Wednesday Vicky and Sarah were showing around some new viewers and we received an offer on the Thursday! We would like to that all the team not only for selling our property but also for assisting in securing our new home in Staffordshire.

Maintlands have been excellent with the dealing of our house purchase. Very friendly, helpful and professional. We am always contacting maitlands of plympton with questions, queries and worries and every time we are dealt with to a very high standard, answering all with as much detail as possible. At times, working during the day makes it difficult to view houses/book appointments however, as maitlands are open on Sarurday and Sunday aswell as late in the evenings we have always managed to use this to our advantage, I am fully aware that some other estate agents only open 9-6 monday to friday.

I cannot speak too highly about the professionalism service and care that Maitlands provided during my recent house sale. My agent was Natalie Eller who was superb but it was an obvious team effort for which her colleagues deserve equal praise. The team are proactive, pragmatic, knowledgeable and completely trustworthy. Whilst the fee charged for the sale may be higher than other Estate Agents, in my view you get what you pay for. Without any reservations I thoroughly recommend Maitlands.

Sharon Pollard of Maitlands Fine and Country dealt with our recent purchase - She was an absolute star: staying on top of the entire process as well as reconciling a demanding purchaser (us) with 'laid-back' vendors (read intransigent and dilatory). When you walk in a branch and the first thing you hear is the branch manager telling the staff 'Tell little white lies if you have to, to get them in' this doesn't fill me with the greatest confidence! Therefore I will not be using them to sell my house! My close friend who used this branch did say to me 'its funny how they sold my house when I took it off the market with them'

Good branch manager, but on occasions other members of the team let her, the company down.
Had to chase them constantly - quite often excuses.. email down, printer not working ect..ect..
They do however get you lots of viewings and are very realistic on valuation (they price to sell)
Don't be drawn in to use their legal and financial services, if you have your own use them.

I can not recommend them highly enough. We are first time buyers and many other agents just disregarded us. Maitlands on the other hand helped us above and beyond our expectations. They listened to and answered all of our questions (there were many!) and showed us houses within our budget that covered our needs. They were fantastic - always available to explain or talk about what we needed, particularly Jan :). They also recommended talking to the independent mortgage advisor - Natalie who works in their office who is amazing and nothing is too small or too much trouble.

This agent had sold 3 properties in our small hamlet this year, achieving a good price and quick sale, so I also went with them, after only being on the market for 2 weeks we sold, achieving close to the asking price, which was set at a sensible and agreed level, 4.5 weeks after acceptance of offer we have exchanged and move next week, that's less than 8 weeks from first going on the market. We found the service from Maitlands excellent and we have already recommended them to several people who we know are looking to sell. They may not be the cheapest but neither are they the most expensive and you definitely get what you pay for (other Agents didn't even call back to see if we wanted to sell after a valuation!). Throughout the sale of our house we were kept up to date with constructive and honest feedback from viewings. Any queries we had were answered immediately and in plain English. The main agent we dealt with was Vicky McIntyre who is very approachable and friendly. She put us at ease throughout what could have been a very stressful process with regular communication and dealt with numerous queries professionally, ensuring that the whole process ran promptly and smoothly. Without question when we eventually sell again we will be using Maitlands!

Having viewed properties with several agents in the Ivybridge area we had a good impression of the different services offered. When it came to selling our property we were adamant that Maitlands would do the best job for us.
The agent we used was Julie and I can honestly say it was a pleasure doing business with her. From the start she gave us honest and helpful advice on the state of the market and other factors affecting our sale. We didn't feel pressured to sell or sign anything and Julie was patient with us while we thought through the options.
Whilst it is nice to deal with a friendly person the main credit has to go to Julie for quickly finding a buyer for our house and also finding us a lovely new house to buy.
In summary, what can be a stressful, emotional experience was hassle free thanks to Julie's help. We would strongly recommend Maitlands and particularly Julie if you are selling your house in the Ivybridge area.

Sarah found a buyer for our house within days and the ongoing communication with buyers / sellers and Maitlands was very good.
We achived the full asking price for the house and am very pleased with the transaction.
