Maitlands failed to sell my property despite constantly asking me to reduce the price. We ended up reducing the price by £20,000 in end, despite being told on the valuation they were confident they would sell it for what they valued it at. Ended up changing agents as we were fed up of getting fed excuse after excuse why our house wasn't selling. It came down to lack of effort, I believe. Our property wasn't always displayed in the window, and we only had 2 viewings in total- both of whom wernt proceedable due to having a house of their own to sell. Complete waste of time and will not be using maitlands again.

We found the service from Maitlands excellent and we have already recommended them to several people who we know are looking to sell. They may not be the cheapest but neither are they the most expensive and you definitely get what you pay for (other Agents didn't even call back to see if we wanted to sell after a valuation!). Throughout the sale of our house we were kept up to date with constructive and honest feedback from viewings. Any queries we had were answered immediately and in plain English. The main agent we dealt with was Vicky McIntyre who is very approachable and friendly. She put us at ease throughout what could have been a very stressful process with regular communication and dealt with numerous queries professionally, ensuring that the whole process ran promptly and smoothly. Without question when we eventually sell again we will be using Maitlands!

Our situation became long and protracted, no fault of ours or Maitland. Throughout the fustrating six months the whole team led by a very motivated Manageress supported us beyond their remit. They quite literally at times held our hands and put us back together. We can 100% recommend this estate agent and thank them for all they have done.

Talk about going that extra mile! The team chased my purchase through swiftly and always kept me informed. I would definately recommend any potential purchaser or seller to use the Maitlands team. The best Saltash agent I have dealt with! Even rec'd a box containing tea bags, washing up liquid, toilet roll etc when we moved in - amazing! Having viewed properties with several agents in the Ivybridge area we had a good impression of the different services offered. When it came to selling our property we were adamant that Maitlands would do the best job for us.
The agent we used was Julie and I can honestly say it was a pleasure doing business with her. From the start she gave us honest and helpful advice on the state of the market and other factors affecting our sale. We didn't feel pressured to sell or sign anything and Julie was patient with us while we thought through the options.
Whilst it is nice to deal with a friendly person the main credit has to go to Julie for quickly finding a buyer for our house and also finding us a lovely new house to buy.
In summary, what can be a stressful, emotional experience was hassle free thanks to Julie's help. We would strongly recommend Maitlands and particularly Julie if you are selling your house in the Ivybridge area.

They continue to deliver an exceptional service with great communication and productive marketing. Several of our viewers remarked on what a great team we had marketing our property and Sharon in particular deserves a special mention, she has ensured a steady stream of propspective purchasers and really helped with the emotional decision making too. They continue to strive for and deliver excellence, and have taken the process of selling property to a new level, our decision to instruct them was absolutely right and we wholeheartedly recommend them to family and friends.

Without doubt the best experience we had when looking for a house to buy. They took the time to really try to find out what we were looking for and tried very hard to match us up - they are good listeners. They certainly know how to operate. In particular Clare was brilliant. If you are a vendor you are in the best hands. If you are a purchaser you know they will be trying 100% to find you the right house.

Although I'm still waiting to sell my property, the service received so far has been excellent. Staff are friendly, efficient and always contacting me on updates of viewing. Would recommend.

I am very disappointed to read your comments regarding the sale of your home.. As you can see, many of our clients have a totally different experience from the one you have enjoyed. As you are well aware we are experiencing a tough market at the present and we are also in the middle of the summer holiday which traditionally is a quieter period. We do work extremely hard to sell all property, as an Independent locally owned company who only get paid upon results, it would not make sense it spending money marketing a home without putting any effort into the sale.
