Very quick identification of a potential buyer and followed up with him promptly to obtain an acceptable offer. The buyer then turned out to be quite difficult but Tony in particular really kept on his case and we managed to get to exchange of contracts when it looked as though the deal might be falling through.

After being a tenant with Ludlow Thompson for over 4 years, i can honestly say it's the worst company i have ever dealt with and i've been a tenant with many different estate agencies over the years.
The staff are rude and the communication is utterly appalling, no one seems to know what is going on between members of staff, branches and tenants.
Our property has been falling apart year by year but still the rent goes up and up at an alarming rate and when we asked for the property to be worked on, year by year it gets forgotten about and nothing ever ends up being repaired.
They are also trying to make money out of us by saying we have rent arrears to pay from a previous tenant even though we have proof of this payment being paid in double so not only did they take the arrears but double the amount

my personal dealings with ludlow thompson and with them kerry lindsay have been nothing short of professional and personally more important,COMPETANT! if you want efficiency of the highest order then deal with them. a mix up in credit scores was dealt with intelligently and was also swift.

i would like to provide some feedback on the excellent work that neli provided for us during our hunt for a flat in the wimbledon area. neli was by far the best agent that we dealt with from the 5-6 that we did viewings with. we were so disappointed that the property that we decided on in the end was not one provided by ludlow because we really wanted it to be rented with neli. she came back to us on everything that we asked straight away, and provided us with some really good viewings that were exactly matching our criteria. neli never put forward properties that we would not consider and listened to everything that we wanted. every estate agent needs a neli padgett!!! ;)

Both Kerry and Darren were great to work with, very polite and knowledgeable. Really happy with their input and how they worked. Darren knew which property's we'd be interested on the input we supplied and Kerry was very on the ball with regards to processing the refs, with great communication all throughout the process.
I should also mention Steve who showed us the property we took whom was also a pleasure to work with.

Chloe conducted our viewing at Lockwood House this Saturday (12 May). We made an offer the same day and had our second offer accepted by the seller on Monday (14 May). We really felt that Chloe was knowledgeable about the property, the arrangements with the management company and the position and motivations of the seller. We also felt that Chloe was professional and warm, listened carefully to our position and gave us accurate and fair advice - all of which helped us decide to make an offer. We felt the team at Ludlow Thompson Oval Office were polite, really helpful and proactive. We feel we have every confidence in the team to progress our sale efficiently and achieve completion on this property. I dealt with Neli Padgett while looking for a property to rent, I found Neli to be very proactive and helpful in supplying many options for us to look at and was always willing to help and constantly in contact with other available places. She organised viewings and was very accommodating to the times we could make due to work commitments. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and service I received from Neli and recommend her as it was a pleasure dealing with her.

VALUED my flAt at £200,000 and Quoted me 1.5% commission rather than 2% normal commission as waited half year to use them. She made it sound as though doing be a good deal. Agreed to it. Contract came and naively fixAted on the perecent agreed not noticing the fine print of minimum fee of £4800 including VAT. Flat sold on first viewing as was decent property. Completion then agent requested commission of £4800 instead of £1.8k as agreed. When challenged she stated as property sold at price would of been less than their min fee they took that instead of commission agreed. She weren't willing to negotiate and began court proceedings against me despite me offering to pay the agreed amount of 1.5%.

I dealt mainly with Ian Bates and Akram Sebah, both of whom were extremely helpful in advising me of the market, understanding my needs and addressing any issues that I raised. The approach was very open and the response to all queries was rapid and informative. They also ensured that I get a very good standard of tenants. I felt comfortable in the dealings as well, which gave me the confidence to believe that my property will be in good hands.

I received several calls and emails about a property that according to Nathan and Ramas was amazing. I asked some pictures and Ramas sent an email writing "Here are some OLD Images, the landlord has redone the property and Its looks amazing now". He also said that the property was for 395/week and had a brand new bathroom. What a surprise when I saw the flat, the flat looks exactly the same as the pictures, a very old flat that needs a lot of work. The price also changed for 600/week. Im really disappointed with this unprofessional behaviour. I will never use them again.

Ian Bates was very friendly, approachable and efficient in his dealings with us. He did a surperb job and tailor-made our situation to suit our needs and was always ready to offer help along the way. Ian advocated in both ours and the tenants best interest, with smooth and upfront mediation between the two parties. It's a real pleasure to deal with someone aware of people's needs. I would definitely recommend Ian Bates and Ludlow Thompson to anyone wishing to rent out a property.

The agent was helpful in organising viewings, including an additional viewing for a prospective tenant. She followed up queries with the seller. We generally found we were not left waiting too long for replies to queries, and we also did not feel pressurised to move faster than we were comfortable with.

Jake was really friendly and very efficient in his dealings with us. He made sure we only saw properties in the right range and came across as being very genuine in his attempts to find the best place for us rather then a sale or a commission. Once we identified a property we liked he campaigned vigorously on our behalf to secure a discount on the advertised rate and helped guide us through the referencing process really smoothly. Nice to deal with some so honest and not self interested. I would definitely recommend and an Ludlow Thompson in general to other friends.

Both Rhena and Charlotte have been very helpful throughout my dealings with the Wimbledon office. One particular example which springs to mind is that Rhena organised for someone to visit the flat I eventually ended up renting to take measurements to ensure that all my furniture would fit in.

Looking for a new home is always stressful and most of the times dealing with agents does not help at all - they don't respond to your calls, show you properties which in no way match your requirements, are surly or arrogant etc. Chloe was the exception. She was very helpful, very responsive on email and arranged viewings for me at the drop of a hat. On one occasion, I popped into to the office and within 5 mins, I was seeing a flat down Lordship Lane. Her manner and style was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend her.

We met Tim Hudson (the Walthamstow branch manager) at the property after having a truly TERRIBLE experience with another competing rival on the same Walthamstow high street, and he seemed very straightforward, soft-spoken and didn't try and give us any sort of hard-sell. The rates were slightly higher than competitors, but having used Ludlow some years earlier we knew that they were a relatively professional outfit. We negotiated terms orally, and true to his word, Tim stuck to our agreements later down the line. Furthermore, he completely understood the sort of people we hoped to let to, and his agent Maria found us exactly the sort of tenants we were looking for within the next few days. She also described them really well and I was impressed by her responsiveness and calmness through-out, even when things got fairly stressful over mistakes at the head-office. There were problems along the way but Tim and Maria answered our calls, and persisted in helping us sort everything out.
