Upon considering selling my business after 14 years, I contacted 4 agents and Knightsbridge valued my business almost double the price the other agents put on it. The valuer was extremely confident he could sell it for this price and I just had to pay him a "registration fee" of £750 which I did. After 3 months of nothing, I attempted to contact the valuer but could not get hold of him, just somebody in the office who said the market was poor. When I tried to cancel after 6 months, I had to pay another £500 to cancel and give 28 days notice. Needless to say I went back to one of the original agents who valued my business, who did not require money up front and they sold it very quickly. I will never use Knightsbridge again - beware.
