   I found Josie Grant problematic to deal with. Both my solicitor and I were nagged constantly throughout the purchase. At several points, I felt like pulling out just to stop the barrage of phone calls.

   I can honestly say, so far into my tenancy, I have had no problems with this company. I feel very happy now I am not a tenant of leaders. The day I moved into the property I am in now, we had a full formal check in of the property, highlighting if, any issues, which there wasn't. there was a mix up with the washing machine, we were told there was no washing machine, so we went out and bought one and the day we moved in, there was a washing machine, I can honestly say this is the only hick up we had, but I phoned the office straight away and they the contacted the landlord and the issue was... (read more)

   Just stumbled upon this site and can't believe that other people have had exactly the same unbelievably bad experience with these people as we have.
   My partner and I had many ongoing problems with these agents, none of which were ever satisfactorily resolved.
   The arrogance and unhelpfulness of staff members that have already been named was just unbelievable.
   I run my own business and if I behaved anything like these people do to my clients I would be bankrupt by now.
   We ended up leaving our tenancy early (with landlords agreement) due to unresolved major problems with the property, and guess what - they then wanted to withhold a large proportion of our deposit for no justifiable reason.
   Only when we threatened legal action to recover some of the rent did they agree to return the deposit in full, and then we were literally 'bribed' into signing a letter saying we would not take any legal action against them as a condition of the deposit being returned.
   Absolutely appalling.
   We are referring this to the Estate Agent Ombudsman.

   I used Jonathan Rees as the agent to find me a tenant for my property that i let out. Within the week i had 6 lots of tenants on a list who wanted to have a look.
   Everything was completed in a month and to say the least i am delighted that i was able to trust both John Caine and indeed Debbie Darvile to sort it all out for me.
   I recomend that you use Jonathan Rees.

   Dreadful experience. The lettings manager is the most arrogant, unhelpful, sexist jobsworth I've met in a long time.

   At the start of the tenancy they tried to tell me that buying contents insurance through them was a condition of the tenancy agreement. It's not and it's illegal to tie insurance to a tenancy agreement. They just wanted more commission.

   I've come into some money and am about to become a buy-to-let landlord. I would never DREAM of putting my tenants through this experience so this firm will NOT be getting my business. Ever.

   Absolutely unashamedly terrible. Jonathan Caine - thinks he can talk himself out of any problem - he can't. Debbie Darvil - worst employee I have ever come across in any business, from Lidl to Harrods. We never got anything fixed in our property that was literally falling apart. everal times we journeyed in to see them, Mr Caine would often look up from his desk and look visibly bothered someone was disturbing him from his sudoku. Miss Darvil would scurry into the back to avoid me, knowing how useless I knew she was. In two years we got nothing from these poor excuses for agents, and then, when we had added value to the property, we were given a month to move out as the owners wanted to sell the property. They then tried to withhold our deposit, thankfully they relented and we got it all back - clearly suggesting their supposed reasons for holding it back were baseless.

   Do not ever use Jonathan Rees - I had the pleasur of meeting Jonathan, and he is no better. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE THEM

   One of their staff members is the rudest, most arrogant person I have ever met. I've never met such a nasty piece of work. And I'm a customer!!! A customer who's paid on time every single month. Steer well clear if you possibly can. Unless they get rid of that person.
