We decided to move house recently. We can't get a mortgage yet as we have not beem on the country long enough. We decided to rent again, but down South this time. Found a house and that's when the fun started. £117.50 to Jacksons Residential to do a credit check, another £20.00 to our old agents (Robert Jordan) to provide them with a credit reference. The credit check agency said they could'nt find anything wrong but recommended they take a 2 months deposit. Fortunatly we managed to get them to pay us interest.

When we wanted to pay the deposit they insisted on a bank guaranteed cheque as "maybe our cheque would not clear". Then came the time to move in. Only after 2.00pm and then only after a complete and time consuming Inventory check.
