   I went to Josh three months before my lease was up. All the other agents said wait until it is closer to the date your lease ends. Josh immediately started looking for places that matched my criteria and would be available for when I needed it. I like the effort he put in to finding me a place. Showing me places that would suit me as a opposed to places he just needed to lease. The flat came down to myself and another couple who wanted it. Josh appealed to the
   landlords on my behalf because he knew how much I wanted the flat. He went above and beyond the call of duty.

   I found the service very friend, reliable and professional. Throughout the process of agreeing the letting of the property the staff would keep me updated and informed. When we wanted to view the property again to take measurements this was scheduled quickly and efficiently without any problems.
   Also when our main contact was on holiday another member of staff assisted with the final requirements before the move and was again very efficient even through it was not his case.
   The whole process was handled very smoothly and I would definitely use Hotblack Desiato again.

   Josh was really helpful all the way from the point of booking to view the rental property initially, through to following up and ensuring the eventual move was a smooth one. I think a key factor which helped was constant communication and Josh being available to answer to any queries (of which there were quite a few!) with a really quick response time - ensuring any grey areas were always clarified quickly. I'd definitely recommend Hotblack Desiateo/Josh to anyone considering a move in the local area.

   Hotblacks are quite honestly the worst estate agency i've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They are agressive, lie through their teeth and they are slimy almost to point of disbelief. After some dispute the property I was renting was deemed uninhabitable by Hackney Council (Due to damp problems). I've now been waiting 2 months for my deposit back, which they promised within a week and a half. AVOID HOTBLACKS AT ALL COSTS

   We rented a property through Hotblacks a few years ago. They were sweetness and light before we signed the contract, but when it came to renewal they were rude, obnoxious and insisted on increasing the rent. When we tried to explain that we could not afford the increase and negotiate on the basis that we were good tenants the lettings manager was very aggressive and intimidating. We came home that afternoon to find a sign had been put up outside the house. We moved out and I would never ever use them again for sales or lettings. Horrible people.

   Blunt on the phone, unwelcoming, rude to the point of active hostility during the viewing. Abysmal customer service generally. I never complain but feel compelled to feedback

   I know estate agents often get a bad rap but I found Hotblack Desiato efficient, friendly and - compared to a lot of other agents - very professional. They were great at keeping me updated with new properties and showing me exactly what was suitable. I eventually ended up renting through them and have been really happy with their service up to now, would certainly recommend!

   Once we moved in, the managing agent was very incompetent. Certain repairs needed doing: it took them four months. We kept chasing them up, but they didn't bother to respond until we reported them.
   Constantly breached the tenancy agreement.

   I'd never use them again and advise anyone reading this not to.
