Shoddy, unprofessional and quite willing to infringe upon tenant's rights .

Before moving out we asked for 24 hours notice before prospective tenants were brought around. On many occasions, we allowed them in with very little notice and then one day we get home to find out they have let a handy man in to replace the toilet seat (the one we asked them to replace 6 months earlier). They did not ask our permission to allow someone in the flat and when we confronted the agent he just seemed bemused!

After (finally) apologising, he then went and did a similar thing 2 days later!! Instead of ringing us to ask if he could bring another prospective tenant around while we were out, he rang and manipulatively left this message 'If you don't ring back, I'll assume it's ok to let someone into the flat'! How could we respond? Neither my flatmate or myself could respond to this message until later on that day as we were at a funeral however, the agent's reply was 'you never answer your phone' and all this after only 3 hours since his first phone call! Uriah Heap springs to mind!

Glad to move out and as am buying at the moment, have been so glad to deal with some real estate agents instead of these cowboys who work out of a dirty office full of boxes.

Don't do it people!! HAM Estates in Crouch End.
