   An agent at G&H represented the landlord of a flat that my wife and 2 small children rented just over a year ago. I assume that G&H has some internal procedure whereby they ensure a property is up to some minimum standard before taking on a landlord client. If they had, they would have known that the property failed a recent electrical inspection which listed 6 Priority One faults. We didn't get the results of the inspection until after we had moved in; of course by that time it was too late.    Would you use the agent again? No

   I have now waited almost 2 months for my deposit after moving out. Landlord said he is happy and no deductions were made. Every time I called G&H they said that they will deal with the matter and always had the same excuses. I am now planning legal action. Contract said they had to give deposit back after 10 days.

   Incredibly proffesional from initial valuation through to collecting keys on the day of completion with constant informative feedback at every step through the process. A total contrast from the other High Street agent previously appointed, in a league of their own.

   I called them to arrange a viewing and they were very polite over the phone, but...

   The agent was 15' late on our appointment and did not bother to apologise. Also during the viewing I asked several important questions about the property and the agent was unable to provide me with any detailed information. They only came to the property to open the door really.

   I would categorise them as unprofessional and very expensive on their fees for such incompetence.

   Goldschmidt & Howland have been, at every step of the way, very unwilling to help or follow through with promises. They have cost us money, time, and stress. Examples of this include: outright lying regarding 3 separate issues, after our offer was put in and money was on the table. As well, they failed to put through necessary paperwork on two occasions. This significantly altered our plans on several occasions.

   Under NO circumstances would I deal with Goldschmidt & Howland, either as a Tenant or Landlord (as they caused delay in rent being paid).

   We had our flat on for sale with them but eventually sold privately. Very very professional and cannot fault at all. From initial valuation, to managing viewings and providing running commentary throughout - impeccable. In a class apart from other agents.
