My wife made a telephone enquiry about whether the property was still available. She was told it was and Ann asked if we wanted to arrange a viewing. My wife asked I'd the landlord would accept tenants with dogs (as it was not specified on the discription on Right Move). Ann put the phone on hold and asked a colleague. This shows that they either had the information and not shared it, or were making it up on the hoof. Either way the answer came back as a firm NO followed by the comment that 'most landlords don't accept dogs!'.

Exactly as someone else here mentioned...Giles talks a good talk but does not follow up on anything. They never let you know what is going on and you have to keep chasing them. The office staff dont know what day of the week it is most of the time.
Would not use him again.

My partner and I used Giles Cardwell to rent a property together and were left thoroughly disappointed with the service. We could not wait to move out of the house which was falling apart. We had no end of problems with renting there. When we moved in the place was a mess, dusty and dirty. We were disgusted with the way we were treated and believe the agency took advantage of our young age and inexperience in renting. I strongly advise using another agency; we have had much better service with other agencies since.

Based on my experience, save yourself a lot of bother and dont go there. Talks a very good game and never delivers.

It has been a total pleasure dealing with Giles Cardwell and his team.We are due to move into one of his managed properties in 3 weeks time and have recieved nothing but exceptional service since our initial contact. All our questions have been answered satisfactorily and they have gone out of their way to make our move free of problems, from writing us a letter confirming our move for the local education services to accepting cheques before our moving in date to save us the bother of going to the cash point ten days in a row or raising a bamkers draft! They have even been flexible regarding decoration (gave us a weeks free rent to decorate internally) and organised to have the very large garden maintained in terms of pruning and cutting back trees. The small team ensures a very personal service and everyone we have dealt with has been helpful, friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend this letting agent.

As landlords ourselves and dealing with other estate agents at the moment I acknowledge pets can make it more difficult for tenants - especially with flats. However with this house it would - I would hold - be the landlord\'s decision. My wife suggested that the estate agents include this in the description Ann almost put the phone down. She clearly did not want any feedback.
My wife was a bit upset so phoned and asked for the manager. The manager was Giles and even worse and said that he didn\'t think his staff member was rude. So much for customer service - no real evidence of that. It\'s more like \'you owe us for even taking the time to pick ip the phone!
