The company was formed in 1990 and opened with offices in Wilmslow and Prestbury. At a time when the larger companies were struggling, Gascoigne Halman were able to grow as a result of a professional service combined with friendly, local management and staff offering a wealth of experience and expertise in house transfer and the business of estate agency.
More recently, our dynamic and forward-thinking approach has meant that we have kept pace with technological developments. We have introduced computer-based systems into our office network which enables us to give regular feedback whilst properties are on the market.
We also have a Residential Lettings department providing a complete homes and property letting service from valuation to property management once the house is let. Our Land and New Homes Department is recognised by the majority of major house builders in the region. For the house purchase we offer a wide range of new homes on many developments throughout the North Cheshire and South Manchester region.
In addition to offering a large range of homes for sale, Gascoigne Halman Private Finance Limited can assist you in finding your way through the wide variety of mortgages currently available. The large number of mortgages we place each month enables us to negotiate special lower rates with certain building societies, although our independent status enables us to place your mortgage with any building society, bank or financial institution which may have a specific package available to suit your particular needs.
If you are purchasing a home you'll need an unbiased, professional assessment of its condition by a qualified surveyor or valuer. We have a Survey Department which can carry out a survey to suit your needs.

I recently sold my house using the Altrincham office of Gascoigne Halman. The staff were very professional and responded to my communications with them promptly and efficiently. My house sale fell through first time around and Tom gave very sound advice around re-marketing the property and ensuring it was sent out to prospective buyers as quickly as possible. I requested that the agents show all prospective buyers around my property which they did on almost all occasions. I would definitely use GH again.

Were very efficient and managed the sale of my property well. When I reduced the price, a sale was completed quite quickly. More regular updates prior to an agreed sale would have been nice as I was keen to sell the property as quickly as possible. Apart from that can't fault the service I received.

During marketing of property given good data regarding website hits, etc. Re shot photograph of front of house to improve presentation. Managed negotiation on offer price well. Follow up when we accepted an offer was excellent. Kept informed and buyer encouraged to move quickly. Called regularly to update on progress.

Very professional service. They advised on asking price, negotiated with the buyers, and then chased up the solicitors and buyers to speed up the process for us. Kept us informed at every stage. From putting our house on the market until completion took only 4 months.

The service provided by gascoinge halman from valuation to the successful letting was absolutely first class and certainly outstanding!
They had excellent advice on the way new apartments should be completed which helped in schedule of works and to produce a number of very sort after apartments.
In every step of the letting phase i was kept informed of how many had viewed, suggestions to make the apartment more desireable.
All aspects of the services that gh do were indeed offered, some of which we did indeed use and will use again in the future. Services such as epcs, inventory etc.I would certainly recommend this agency to other landlords and indeed tenants. A very smart, professional and friendly company.

I found Bobby to be very professional and he went out of his way to accommodate our viewing times on a busy Saturday afternoon.Additionally he kept me informed by telephone and e-mail provided additional information on the best place to park at the viewing and always returned my calls.Furthermore we found the rest of the team at Gascoigns to be very polite and helpful.

All the staff and the manager at the Lymm office were tremendous.The company was suggested to us by a proffesional

This is the second property we have sold through Matthew and his team. Again we received excellent advice on adjusting our price to reflect market conditions and ultimately this resulted in a sale in a difficult price bracket. Undoubtedly this is due to second to none local market knowledge. James was excellent once a sale was agreed in liaising between myself, our purchaser and the solicitors. We will certainly use the Bramhall office again in the future and beleive that this office provides a straightforward professional service without sales any sales gimmicks.

Initially, I picked Gasgoine Halman in Wilmslow because their office was the most welcoming in terms of feel and the people and I thought that was important as they would be fronting the whole sale and viewings. All the staff were excellent and they kept me informed about progress on viewings and gave good feedback on what people thought and what they were looking for in the property. Pricing was pitched correctly and the negoiation and sales process was very easy from my presepective. This was important to me as I was going to be absent from the property for the whole time. The approach to the sale was collaborative with me but with the agent acting on their own when needed. This is a very good professional, friendly and trustworthy team in Wilmslow where they all know what is happening with the sale. From initial marketing to completion in 4 months I would thourghly recommend this agent.

Very apprehensive about the current state of the market, but Leighton priced our property realistically and within 8 weeks it was sold for not much less than we had hoped for!
Really pleasant team at Cheadle - considering that I was on the phone at least twice a day, I was never made to feel a pest.

I am a First Time buyer and my experience was made a whole lot easier by the helpful agents at Gascoigne Halman, in particular Gemma. I got more information than from my solicitor and was never made to feel like a pest in fact quite the reverse - always willing to help. Gemma was a great link between myself and the vendors, going out of her way to make sure things ran smoothly. If Gemma was unavailable Hayley and Katy were always at hand to help and were able to answer queries. I was very pleased with my service - I even got a Good Luck in your New Home card from them.

Having just exchanged contracts on my house I cannot praise the services of Gascoigne Halman Bramhall enough. We experienced a few twists and turns along the way with parts of the chain collapsing but Matthew kept me constantly updated and worked hard to keep the process on course.
I found all the office staff extremely helpful and calls were always returned when requested.
In short, a thoroughly professional service. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone thinking of selling or purchasing a property in the future.

Lorraine Batty met my brother and I as arranged at my deceased father's house to talk about the companies service and to give us a selling price. This meeting was very positive, friendly and certainly made us feel happy and confident to use this estate agent rather than either of two others we had contacted.
Throughout the whole process of selling the property our dealings with the office, via Sue Mellor, were efficient, speedy and yet friendly. She gave us advice when requested and at no time did we have any negative feelings towards the estate agent. The process came to a final conclusion when the final stage if completion was made and the new owner took ownership.

I have used Gascoigne Halman on a number of occasions and they always provide an excellent service. There where difficulties with the chain on this sale, with an ever changing exchange date.
