    Do not ever use this agency. The manager and his staff are incompetent,unprofessional,discourteous and an absolute disgrace.Throughout the few weeks that Fulfords of 14 Mannamead Road were marketing my property they didn`t keep appointments, they constantly lied that correspondence was being e mailed to me which i never received,which in the end ,after three weeks, their bungling manager admitted that they had lost all my property details ,so nothing had actually been sent to me despite being repetitevely advised they had ,by him and his staff .     Agent terribly unhelpful on entering the office - not understand the needs of a buy-to-let investor in any way what so ever - and neither did anyone in this nice looking, big office. On rechecking the internet they failed to flag many properties. They had no idea of what charges or leases were on many of their properties. Their entries on the web often fail to show any info including dimensions! (mainly for smaller 1 bed properties). All in all highly insufficient for the "market leader" with such a big office - they need to realise how to sell and what many of investors need - not the brain dead pap I can read from the details anyway.

    Fulfords are a disgrace. I received notification of an increase in my monthly water bill from £35 to £163 and a few days later Fulfords demanded a rent increase from £725 to £760. I refused to pay the extra rent as the water problem is related to issues in the flat, some of which remain unresolved. I received a letter giving me notice so I stopped my standing order. I found another flat to let with Stags - in the same block but in a better position with the same rent that I am currently paying.     I had a viewing booked up for several days on a house that is for sale. Travelled 109 miles to view the property the estate agent new we were travelling down had all our details we spoke on the day of the viewing to confirm the time again no problem. We get there an hour before the viewing to get a call to say there was no one to show us round the house and they were canceling the viewing. Our treatment was discusting tbh terrible customer service would never view a house with them again ruling out anyone who markets there house with this estate agent.

    I’ve just ended a tenancy with Fulfords after having nothing but hassle from them for the last 18 months.
    Firstly, when we viewed the property we were asked to pay £200 to take the property of the market, we were lead to believe that this money would be deducted from the deposit, not so, seems the agent was lying.
    When we eventually moved in, there was a big hole in the wall, light fittings were hanging off and the house had no working TV Ariel even though we were promised that it worked (more lies). The smoke alarms didn’t work and they hadn’t bothered to test them.

    We are still in the process of trying to complete the sale of our house after nearly 15 months on the market.We dropped the house 15 grand so dont believe the valuation they give they just want the sale.salesman ship was poor even our niegbour told us to get rid of them as he heard most of there atempts.Very poor at keeping us informed and on feedback.Wrong info when house did sell as we were told asap sale and no chain.We are have to chase the and the crappy country wide solictors they use and even though we dropped the price there bill still the same despite them doing little to earn it.We have calls now were they seem to be working for the people who are buying our house as through we should drop the price or somthing they dont seem to be looking after our intrests at all..All you get is she,s not here and she will call you back but it never happens probably to busy doing shopping or make up.I would go else were to sell your house and noway should you use there solictors they are very slow and bad.These are my opinions based on my present dealings with fulfords

    Fulfords have taken almost two years to sell my partner's property where we both live. They have been sluggish in the extreme, hardly ever doing an accompanied viewing. Their method of 'selling properties' is simply showing people around. They are, without exception, disinterested, sullen and ill informed. The saving grace of the Plymstock branch is the receptionist who, whilst being very friendly, insists on referring to everyone as darlin'. Tres professional!
    A very down market company.
    Use someone else!

    If I said all the things they done I would be here all day. Would never go to them again.
    Shame they are this way, gives the other branches bad names.

    Do not use this agent! Despite advice from friends we opted to use Fulfords to advertise and manage our rental apartment. We should have smelled a rat when their rental estimate came in over £100/month higher than the other (more reputable) agent. We were given assurance that the apartment would be rented within 2 weeks and would be snapped up in the current market.... sadly not. The photos taken by the agency were drab and lifeless and key pieces of information were omitted from the description. 6 weeks went by with only two text messages from Fulfords saying that viewings had been... (read more)

    My daughter & family started renting about 6 weeks ago and they now want them out because they have a buyer and want to sell it. They are trying to introduce their own interpretations of the laws of this land. Beware! Beware! Beware! Plus they make you sign the inventory (which shows the house to be all good) and you don't know until you get in and find out the true condition. Not had the experience of trying to get the deposit back yet but fear the worst as although they insure the deposit they actually keep hold of it which will make it more difficult to get back. Check them out with other tenants. Don't trust them.

    I have had the very unpleasant experience of renting a house with Fulfords over the past year.

    When we first arrived at the house, it was completely inhospitable, and a cleaner was not brought in until a week later, and only after countless phone calls. This meant that we were required to clean faeces and dirt left by the past owners of the house.

    Since then, the service provided by Fulfords has been consistently bad. On leaving the house we ensured the property was left in perfect condition, something that they did not ensure when renting it to us. On review of the house, however, the agent was unbelievably rude and patronising, using phrases such as "Do you really expect me to rent this to someone?".

    They have still not returned our deposit and are claiming that damage made by the previous owner was ours, despite photographic evidence otherwise.

    Fulfords are the worst estate agents I have ever come across. I was gazumped - so I lost my dream (1st) home because of them. Not only that, most of the staff at the Newton Abbot branch are not courteous, one member of staff even hung up on me without saying goodbye - on two occasions! The manager is inexperienced. Beware!
