    Both the agents mentioned above provided a very professional and welcoming service. Everything was dealt with efficiently and we were kept up to date at all times. Having dealt with many companies , this was the best experience we have ever had. I couldn't recommend this company highly enough!

    I have worked with Melissa whi has done a fantastic job getting any repairs dealt with quickly, efficiently and at a fair price. I have been impressed overall with Fineholem and their professionalism. Any issues I have had have been picked up and resolved quickly.
    Shirley Ann has also been helpful, professonal and responsive.
    I currently have one property let with Fineholm and about to rent a second proprty through them due to their great service

    Following long term tenants giving their notice on their lease, I decided to look for an agent for the purpose of 'tenant finding only', with the intention of thereafter dealing with the tenants directly. The purpose of this was to ensure tenants were credit checked and to save me the trouble of advertising the property and arranging viewings around my work schedule.

    this letting agent didn't bother trying to market my flat that I had available to rent for a whole year they were more
    interested in charging my cleaning fees and management fees every month, I was very happy once
    I left them and joined another agency who had the flat rented out in 3 weeks.

    I have been renting a flat from Fineholm for almost a year now and have never come across such excellent service. I've rented with other large letting agents before, but Fineholm and in particular their staff have been outstanding. I have had two or three maintenance requirements. Some emergencies, others just minor. On each occasion the staff responded immediately to get the appropriate workmen out to the flat, without any hassle.

    I confidently recommend this company.

    Note the phrase 'we will try to make it as smooth as possible'. Really Fineholm? Then why do you charge for written references? A hefty fee too of over £20 each. That's making it quite the opposite of smooth. Sure, they will tell you that they don't charge for a reference over the phone, but how many agencies will call a referee without the reference there on front of them on letterheaded paper?     I must say I am a little surprised / suspicious of the plethora of 5 star reviews that seem to have cropped up on this site this year for fineholm... particularly when you look back at the pace they were appearing before, it suggests someone is falsely inflating the reviews...

    I have rated Fineholm as terrible because they left us to contact environmental health ourselves when our ceiling leaked.     Whilst situations can sometimes be out-with our control, we strive to provide a high standard of service to all our landlords and tenants.     As a landlord, I have used Fineholm for three years and found them to be friendly, efficient and intelligent in dealing with my property and tenants. In this case, the tenant reported problems with the heating and water. As a landlord, it is paramount to me that my tenants enjoy and are happy in the property. Most of all that they are comfortable in a perfectly functioning home. The property is therefore covered with a British Gas service agreement to ensure that any heating or water problems are dealt with immediately or as soon as is possible. These agreements are very expensive but highly important, so that a tenant knows their comfort is important to the landlord. As a landlord or letting agent, you cannot be fairer or more helpful than that. In modern life, employers are fully aware that if people have domestic repairs that it is reasonable for them to wait for a serviceman for an hour or so on rare occasions. Just as a good and decent landlord or letting agent knows, good employers would not want anyone to be without hot water or heat. Especially in winter - in Scotland!

    Just got my deposit back with no deductions! First time ever! Fineholm also helped me get it back from deposit company. Really happy and had a good tenancy with them, would recommend. They get the job done.

    I have had Fineholm has a letting agent for 8 months now and have just had a problem with my boiler. Long story short, new boiler needed. Fineholms have managed this fantastically and very quickly. My tenant is happy and although there was quite a bit of upheaval, this was all dealt with swiftly. I will definitely be recommending you to my friends.

    I have been in our flat for almost two years now and Fine Holm took over the property from another agency quite early on in our tenancy. Whenever we have had a maintainance problem they have been really quick at dealing with it (no matter how small). Their plumbers, electricians and other tradesmen have always been on time, friendly and make sure they get the job done well. I have lived all over the world and Fine Holm is one of the most efficient agents i've had to deal with.

    Fineholm have acted as property agents for me for the past 4 years and I have always found the service to be really good. My flats not a palace but its in a good spot and I try to keep it reasonably well decorated and make sure things are kept up to date- I have to say that the flat has never Been empty for more than a week or so and although tenants do come and go a fair bit fineholm always seem to keep the rent coming in. The rent has gone up a bit in the last 6 months or so which is good news for me! Fineholm always phone me when anything needs fixed and although I use my own handyman normally I use there plumbers. They asked me to put on a review and I'm happy to do that..generally everything is good...which is what I would expect.

    Please take note of the bad reviews on this site, I really wish I had instead of thinking it is just people who are being too fussy etc. I had a problem with the heating in my flat and as you can imagine being without hot water and heating is definitely not something you want to endure for any period of time, yet I was expected to do just that. I phoned to report this and dealt with a very rude and abrupt lady who offered me no practical help or solution and was quite frankly down right rude.     Thank you for your comments. Fineholm do empathise with tenants when things go wrong in properties and it can be very frustrating however Fineholm are more than willing to let engineers/tradesmen in with management sets of keys. We have a pool of outsourced tradesman who do so on a daily basis with tenant approval. If the tradesman cannot give a more specific time slot or give our office a call 30 mins before, then regrettably we are unable to send a representative for a full day time slot.     LANDLORDS BEWARE!!! These agents ask tenants to lie for them!!

    Fineholm expect tenants to bend over backwards to organize emergency repairs themselves as they are "too busy" to arrange. They expected us to go for 1 week without any heating, hot water or basic washing facilities. I would be interested to know if they would be prepared to do the same if it was their flat.

    They also ask tenants to lie to 3rd party tradesmen to cover the fact that they are unable to arrange for a safety certificate to be carried out in a timely manner (a legal requirement.)

    I believe I spoke with you yesterday with regards to repairs at the property. The fault was reported on Monday to us and as stated on the original inventory, there is a 3* Scottish Gas maintenance contract on the property (re-iterated to you on Monday during your call). It is impossible for us(Fineholm) to stay at the property for their designated time slots to give entry of either 8-1 or 1-6.     I moved to Glasgow from abroad and I found in Fineholm the best place to help me out find an appartment in this new city. They arranged the viewings as soon as they could, I went to see the viewings and did a holding deposit of an appartment I liked. Four days later, they contacted me to let me know I was ready to move!

    Excellent service. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

    My flat mates and I lived in a flat manged by Fineholm for 2 years and I can say that I have found the staff to be really helpful when I asked any questions about my lease and also with any maintenance things that came up. Not many things happened while we lived there though! We had a few small things like broken washing machine which was replaced quickly and a dodgy radiator but again that was fixed wihtin a few days. Very helpful staff. They explained the new deposit set up when we were leaving and we've got our deposit back ( we had to pay for a carpet clean though) in 5 days. Would happily rent through them again.

    I was renting cottage flat for 2 years.

    Problem number 1:
    Property was located next to public pedestrian path with part of fence missing. First 2 months we didn’t had any problems until someone dropped through our hole in the fence a black bin bag which was including: wallet, credit cards, set of keys to home and car, baklava, hammer, chisel and screwdriver. Than someone tried to brake in to our neighbors house. Every day we were picking up a lot of litter from our garden.     Lucas - I am sorry to hear you feel the service was not good while you were a tenant in the property. With regard to your issues specifically problem 1 and 2 , unfortunately as we act as agent for landlord we have to wait for landlord instruction and on occasion this may not be forthcoming, and further issues can arise which are completely outwith our control like the issue with the footpath, tyres and incorrect issue of notices ( from an old owner), Landlords can and do decide to take back possession of their property by giving the necessary notice however again we cannot control this. Cleaning is always a contenious issue however we do our best to give over properties in a clean and tidy condition and expect it to be returned in the same condition - if cleaning is not adequate we must get it cleaned for the next tenant or landlord and the same applies to the grarden.     Just been reading threw the reviews... I can relate to near enough all the bad ones!! i think the staff are hopeless and do not help!! also i find them to be very cheeky down the phone aswell... Have been staying in my flat for over three month now with a broken boiler / no hot water / verry bad dampness in the kitchen ... this is now forming to mould witch is making the worst smell ever!! my five year old daughter is not allowed to stay as the dampness goes for her asthma!! i have had countless cowboys out to say they have fixed things only to find out five hour later it is not fixed ...Then back on to the phone to fineholms to get told it is fixed and baseically i am talking rubbish NOT HAPPY!!!!

    Unfortunately, sometimes things happen which are out-with our control. In this particular case, the landlord opted to use his own tradesmen to carry out repairs. Unfortunately, the boiler has failed several times over the past 3 months and each time a contractor has attended. I'm pleased to note that it is now fully functional. Furthermore, although the landlord commissioned a specialist report regarding the problems in the kitchen and has determined the cause to be condensation, the landlord has agreed to arrange for the room to be treated with damp seal and re-painted at his expense.     We purchased an investment property several months ago and dealt with Laura, as she was the selling agent. She was extremely helpful throughout the process, especially as we live overseas and had only a limited time in Glasgow to view the property and get the transaction started.     The fact is that I couldn't be happier with Fineholm's service on the rental side, and feel really happy to continue to work with you guys. I am going to sell my property but I should stress though, that if I do mange to sell it's to buy another property , and I would then plan to rent out my other place, using Fineholm again.

    I currently have a property being marketed by Fineholm and I wanted to thank them for the fantastic service so far- the photos look great! Hopefully I'll get a tenant quickly!

    I found the service provided by this Company appalling. As soon as they knew I was only interested in using them for finding a tenant I felt they became rude and unhelpful. I was told that certain issues would be included in the lease and they weren't. I now have a sub-standard lease that doesn't even address matters such as carpet cleaning. It took a number of weeks after my tenant moved in before I received the deposit and then only because I requested it. Fineholm need to understand that they are in the business of providing customer service yet they couldn't even be bothered to send me an original copy of the signed lease. I requested that they send me a copy of the inventory which I prepared and gave to them but they wouldn't even do that. Very disappointed with the service considering the fee they charge.

    Fineholm are disappointed that you have felt the service to be sub standard - indeed all landlords, irrespective of Finders Only Service or Full Management merit the same level of commitment. Our leases are fully checked by an ARLA lawyer to make sure that both tenants and landlords are protected and have clauses that are robust for all events. We are happy to provide draft leases to landlords from the earliest of stages. The time frame of your deposit transfer and copies of paperwork fell over the festive period which did not have full opening hours. We regularly check our fee structure to make sure that we are competetive and do not believe to overcharge however please feel free to contact me direct for any further discusssions on the service you have received

    Very poor service overall. Set strict deadlines for tenants to report problems, & even if tenants inform them within these deadlines they don't do a thing to sort them.
    Quick enough to take every penny from you for little things, that they don't tell you about when leasing, but don't provide the service in return.
    Take overall room photo's for moving in inventory, yet EXTREMELY DETAILED ones when lease ends, so if you lease from them take a picture of every inch of the property, email them constantly re problems and keep records, don't phone them to report a problem as they state they can't accept this?!
    Some staff were helpful and pleasant, others were the opposite and very rude.
    Fine Holm are are letting agent to avoid.

    We are disappointed to hear your comments- we ask tenant to report issues relating to the inventory report within 10 days which we feel is a fair time frame- other maintenance issues can be reported by phone or by email throughout the tenancy. We will not accept changes to the inventory by phone for obvious reasons. the inventory supplied is the same document used to check you out of the property and if there are differences we will discuss these at that time. If there are issues then unfortunately charges have to be made against your deposit - we feel these are fair and have to justify them to the deposit scheme provider- should you not agree then an independent adjudicator will look at the case.     I asked Fineholm to find a tenant for my property in October last year. I am delighted a month into the lease everything has gone very smoothly - the tenant seems happy, the house is being well looked after and I don't have to think about it!
    They found me a great tenant quickly and the whole procees has been uneventful. Thanks again!

    A disgusting agency, they manage to hold my deposit and don't want to return it to me.
    When the wash machine is broken, I have tried to call many times but they do nothing, so I have to wash clothes in landry which costs me lot of money. I want to terminate the contract, I give a notice to them before 28 days but they don't reply to me, so I complaint and then they finally reply to me because they are afraid of losing money!! When I trasferring money to them, I have given them more money because I'm not sure of the trasferring fee, after that, I want them to return the money back, they don't reply to me again!!
    When I leave the property, they try everything to hold my deposit such as I have taken away the inventries from the house, but I swear I have not broken or change or stolen anything from the house!! If they want money, they can let me know at first, why use these dirty means to take my money???
    Totally a irresponsible and money-oriented agency, they bully a poor students!!

    KKK - we are disappointed to see your review - I have investigated your complaint and note the washing machine was reported not working on 26th September and was fixed by the landlord by 5th October - I understand you were on holiday during this period. With regard to your deposit we provide you a detailed inventory upon move in and that is the document we use to check you out- if there are variations then we will discuss these at check out time. Should we not be able to reach a resolution as your deposit is lodged with SafeDeposits an independent adjudicator will be appointed to make a decision.     My partner and I dealt with Linda burns from the Glasgow branch in the month of december 2012.
    due to this being our first property rental together my partner and i were in agreement that we needed someone trustworthy and approachable to deal with the whole process.
    in dealing with Linda she made the experience very enjoyable for us both, everything was dealt in a swift and professional manner with our every need being met.
    we viewed the property on the friday and we had the keys the following friday.
    I would recommend anyone use fineholm to anyone.
