Following a brief call to the agency today (all of 2 minutes) whereby I was starting to describe the property I was looking for and (I felt) building a rapport with the agent I was very quickly told I had a bad attitude the call was terminated before I could work out what was happening - what an awful way to treat a prospective customer - are you so big that during the biggest recession in our lifetimes you can reject business so off-hand and pass it to your competitors? I felt this was absolutely ridiculous and recommend everyone offer your money to any of the other agencies in Milton Keynes - at least they will appreciate your business. I have also written to the management centre to offer my views on this matter - what a horrible experience which has ruined my morning.

I stayed in a house let to me by Faulkners and it has been the worse experience of my life. They charge you excessively, have no disregard for you as a tenant, are not helpful at all. I feel they are a disgrace and should be banned from being a letting agent. Frankly if you want to let with these guys just walk away. it is not worth it.

We had a pest problem in a flat due to an unmaintained property by the landlord. We were initially asked to pay for it and then after threatening them legally they gave way. We were forced to live in a rat infested property and no word about any compensation.
Horrible people to deal with if there is a problem!

I am sorry that you feel we have let you down. I know of one issue with pests which did take a considerable time to resolve for many issues including the way the tenants lived in the property. As per the terms the tenancy agreement, which will have been signed before the commencement, Pest control is the responsibility of the tenant. What can I say about my experience of Faulkner Property?
Well if I start by quoting directly from their website this wonderful self review from the directors of Faulkner:
“The team at Faulkner Property has an unswerving philosophy of exceeding their clients' expectations, and has a dedicated team of people with experience, integrity and the professionalism to provide outstanding customer service.”
Now discard this completely and imagine a company staffed by the rudest, most incompetent, sub-human buffoons ever to walk the planet.
In reality, the philosophy at Faulkner is to not communicate with your tenants at all, always ensuring to screw as much cash out of them as possible at the end of the tenancy.
Add to this the unique ability to still cause me a headache 4 years after a vacated the property.
The good news… the disgusting human being on the other end of the phone at least told me I am now “black listed” from Faulkner. So even if I go temporally insane I still won’t end up using Faulkner again.
Avoid like the Swine flu.

Dear Kitey
It is some time since you commented, so I apologise for the delayed response. I am unaware of any tenant being caused a headache by this company after four years, unless this is as a result of court action for say for Unpaid Rent or damage to the property. Obviously Tenant Deposit protection is now in place to help resolve disputes which landlords and tenants are unable to agree upon. If you send me an email with further details, including the address of the property concerned, I can look into this matter further for you but would comment that we do not have ‘blacklists’ so I would be interested in where this came from?

Never addresses customer concerns. Left without heating for 2 weeks in the winter and no apology. Later lied to by saying I never complained about the problem earlier. Avoid Faulkner like the plague.

We are a customer focused organisation operating in MK for nearly twenty years and did not get to be successful by turning away potential tenants. We have not changed our attitude now so i will be interested in reading your letter with specifics
