   Would you use the agent again? No

   We are first time buyers and made an offer on a house which was accepted. What was I was not told at the time of it's acceptance was that it was still going to remain on the market and be open for viewings. As first time buyers you would think that the estate agent would have the brains to advise this to a prospective first time buyer as most agents have the courtesy to advise you if they plan to keep it on the market. Low and behold once I had the solicitor and mortgage application in process someone else made a higher offer and the vendor accepted. Equity didn't have the decency to warn me... (read more)

   I rented my property with this Agency and my rent was never coming on time, I was disgusting with the service and found the staff to be terrible at returning my calls after promising to chase the tenants for my rent.
   I left them to do their jobs as they promised me the best service when signing up with them and I limited my phone calls to them to once in a while, the tenants had arrears on their account for months on end and the agent never made any attempts to make a payment plan with then.

   Terrible service:
   WHEN RENTING in 2009
   I agreed to pay the full advertised price of a 2 bed flat, and put 300 deposit to move after 3 weeks and they couldn't do the formalities in the timeframe
   - the staff was very rude and made me to come personally twice from south london to enfield which is more than an hour drive. They told me if don't I lose my deposit. First visit to sign the agreement which per them I can't send by post and have to sign in front of them and second visit to pay the advance again which I can't transfer to their account but have to pay by card.

   Would you use the agent again? Yes

   Nice bunch of genuine & knowledgable guys. However, they seem to have a high turnover of staff. The main managers tend to have stuck around. Equity property manage one of my lets and have been doing so for the last few years. So going by their lettings director and quality service, I would be happy to recommend them.
