From the moment Rhea showed us the property to the present day, myself and partner have found Enfields to be an excellent agency. Out of all the Estate Agents that we contacted, Enfields were the only one that called us when the right property came on the market. Rhea, Gavin and Lawrence have all been great with communication and have ironed out any creases promptly. They have same friendly and professional approach when dealing with landlords and would have no hesitation in recommending them to prospective tenants, landlords, buyers or sellers.

We rented a property through Enfields at the Shirley Road branch - The fees were in excess of £400 for a supposedly managed furnished property.
Firstly the problems started with the referencing which had to be chased constantly by us as the tenants to get anything done.
Secondly, despite chasing them several times it was not until 3 months into the tenancy that we received the initial inventory, by which time a fair amount of redecoration by us had taken place - therefore changing the position.

I found Enfields overall to be very helpful and proactive. I initially sold my property and then the buyer withdrew, however Jonathon and his team were soon back marketing it again with the same initial enthusiasm. I am very pleased with the service provided and the fact that at all times, I was updated and kept informed of the events that were occuring. I would recommend Enfields to anyone wishing to sell their property.

Incredibly poor service. Enfields did not fulfill their maintenance obligations, and for a period of 2 years and 5 months did not fix ongoing problems in the property. This was despite several emails outlining our concerns. Sadly these unfixed items were included in our checking out inspection at the end of our tenancy and as such charged to our desposit.
Only maintenance support we received was by a "cowboy" friend of the landlord who refused to answer his phone to Leeds landline numbers due to other persons pursuing him and as such was incredibly difficult to get hold of.
For over 1 year we had a leaking bath causing water to flow through the kitchen ceiling past live light sockets causing possible danger to the lives of my wife and me. We also had no working gas fire for the majority of one of the coldest winters in recent years.I would not recommend Enfields to anyone whatsoever.

The service that I have received from Jonathan Pinhorne and Enfields has been nothing short of exceptional.
Right from the start I appreciated Jonathan's openess and honesty which is what set them apart from other Estate Agents that I had met with.
The whole process was smooth right from the first meeting and marketing the property, through to the end of the sale.
The thing that really impressed me was that Jonathan and the other staff at Enfields were always contactable and calls were always returned.

After trying to sell my flat using another Estate Agents, I switched to Enfields mainly due to Jonathan being open and honest. Although the sale had a few minutes bumps Jonathan could always be contacted and was pro active in keeping me up to date on how things were progressing.
This approach was refreshing for an estate agent and I can therefore recommend Jonathan and Enfields.

I cannot rate this estate agent highly enough. From the start Jonathan was efficient, honest and helpful and went over and above on every occasion to make sure the move was as stress free as possible. I couldn't have asked for anything more from an estate agent. It was such a wonderful change to work with an estate agency who you could trust 100% to give you honest, impartial advice. An amazing service from Enfields, London Road. This was the purchase of my first house, and as such I had little clue of what to expect and of all the processes I needed to go though. However Enfields, and in particular Jonathon guided me through this process smoothly and successfully, giving me twice weekly updates all the way from first viewing through to completion. They provided a first point of call for any questions; communicating very regularly with both solicitors and the selling party, they were able to provide timescales, and advise me as to what was to happen next in every stage of the journey. They responded quickly to anything I asked of them, working professionally to a tight deadline. Even following completion, Enfields have been keen to help, ensuring that I have every bit of information I need. Will be sad to let them go. Would definitely recommend to anyone - hopefully they will still be there when I come to sell!

Having purchased a property 4 times previously, I can honestly say that Enfields were the best Estate Agent I have dealt with by some way. Not only was the marketing professional and spot on for our type of property but within just a couple of weeks we had received an offer and agreed a sale. Unlike many other agents though, this was not the end of their work. Jonathan was proactive and in regular contact to keep us updated and almost singlehanded he helped to pull the chain together. His regular contact kept us updated and took away much of the pressure and worry when solicitors were slow etc. I would recommend Jonathon and his team without hesitation.

The agent was unhelpful, sarcastic and abrupt. He had very poor people skills. As somebody who works a lot with the general public, families and children it was a surprise to me to be spoken to in such an offensive and obtuse manner. He informed me that I shouldn't have come into the office and kept saying
"Why have you come in? I don't understand why you have come in"

Sold my property through Enfields at London Rd, can honestly say that i have found them to be refreshingly different to many estate agents i have come into contact with during my recent buy/sell experience. Enfields are very much on the ball and are constantly on hand to provide support and (sensible) advice throughout, in our instance, a protracted and sometimes very frustrating process. this level of service, and simply doggedness no doubt did help us no end and i would be very happy to use them again. they simply seem to work harder than many of the other agents in London Road, they are often there long after the others have closed and that to me, shows their desire to do a good job well.
i would recommend all the staff there, in particular Jonathan who was tireless in his approach and always positive in attitude.

Gavin was very enthusiastic right start to finish. He worked with me to ensure I understood the property market and the market value of my home at the start of the process. I had to drop the price, which in this market was not a surprise, but together we found the right buyer.
He also helped me with the house I was buying, albeit he was not the selling agent.
Once my chain was complete, Rhea ensured the sale & purchase when through as quickly as possible. It was Rhea who chased the solicitors along as she could liaise with them all directly. Without her we would not be completing in 2 weeks.
I am happy to recommend them.

Having dealt with Enfields Basingstoke as a landlord for around 5 years, I can only recommend these guys for their integrity, professionalism, service and support in all that they do. I have them on a fully managed basis and recently had a change of tenant. They assisted me in sourcing professional yet reasonable tradesmen, to recarpet, decorate and tend to those annoying jobs, allowing me to only suffer a weeks void/vacant period. I was truly astonished at the transformation internally of my property and to find that they obtained increased income for me. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Its been a long Journey as I first used them as letting agents and eventually sold my house through them.
A really great team in Basingstoke headed by Gavin.
Rhea has been my main contact throughout both during lettings and selling the house. She is a caring and proffessional lady and has been there even when the going got tough..

Today is 23/01/2012. I am one of three residents who moved out of a property in AUGUST 2011 and are STILL awaiting any response from our estate agent regarding our deposit despite our side of the DPS agreement being fulfilled MONTHS AGO. We are extremely dissatisfied with the service we have received both during and after our dealings with Enfields and do not hesitate to express our anger to any of your potential clients/landlords.

Enfields London Road marketed a retirement flat on my behalf in Hill Lane Southampton. Throughout the whole process my enquiries were dealt with both professionally and efficiently.I also received regular calls keeping me informed of their progress.

I found Jonathan Pinhorne to be most professional when guiding us through the selling process giving honest advice regarding both valuation and appraisal of the market. Despite some difficulties with the sale Jonathan remained positive and reassuring providing timely updates and responding well to questions. This professional attitude was reflected through out the team at London Rd who were responsive and helpful. I know that Jonathan and his team worked really hard to achieve the sale and a positive outcome and I could not recommend them more.

Bought a property through them. Found they were good, they rang me at least once a week for an update (even if there was no news) and were prompt at ringing me back when I called them. The original house we had an offer in on was not proceeding and they were honest about the prospects so we pulled out.
I will probably look into using them when I come to sell.

Enfields agents will not call you back when they say they will, you will leave several messages a day and get no answer, you will send emails and get no response!
I moved out of my rented property a month ago, they have been avoiding my questions regarding the deposit, and tell me different things each time I phone!
I would avoid this agent at all costs in the future.

Be warned don't use Hythe Southampton branch. Rented a filthy property out to us today even though we met with the estate agents and said that we would not rent it in the present condition. The owner of Enfields Jonathan showed us round and it was him we had the conversation with then today he said he didn't know who showed us round when I went to the branch today it was him. Asked for my money back he refused that's ok I will get more than the money he owes me in lost customers as I will be outside his shop any free time I get informing his customers of his so called customer service. What a bunch of cowboys.

Don 't touch them with a barge pole. Checking out this week and told to cut the grass it's the end of February and pouring with rain and the grass is no more than inch high. don 't expect to get any maintenance done unless you get environmental health involved due to raw sewage coming out of broken toilet waste pipe. This company is only interested in taking your money and doing as little work as possible, they've obviously forgot that without people like us they wouldn't have a job.

I was highly disappointed with the service received by Enfields. We have now waited nearly 2 months for our deposit and have not received the letter to log onto the DPS website to retrieve it only to be told by Enfields there is nothing else they can do and be told by the DPS they cannot help us without a user ID which Enfields should supply. Terrible service with rude and pushy people working there that are only interested in the landlord and not the tenants. Our toilet smelt of sewage for 6 months and was only fixed after we threatened not to pay rent. Unsurprisingly at the time we were told there was nothing Enfields could do at the time and the onus was put on the landlord. It seems these agents are quick to place blame on others rather than coming up with solutions. Very unimpressed.

Please be warned. 7 months with no heating/ hot water yet still told I had to pay full rent. Have now waited over 2 months for deposit back only to be told they don't know where it is/ who has it so I can't have it back until they have found it..

I am a first year student and have had nothing but trouble from these agents. They rented me an ex-brothel without my knowledge when I highly suspect they knew what it used to be. Terrifying with men coming to the door at night with four girls in the house. House is falling apart and poorly insulated - my breath turns to mist in my room. Very unwilling to fix things - the only thing that made them listen was threatening them with a lawyer.

I found them excellent so would have to disagree with the previous reviewer. They were proactive and aggressive exactly what is needed in the current climate. They told me they were the market leader in their town. I can well believe it!!

A very poor estate agents who do nothing better than rip off innocent people and very bad customer focus. Enfields Residential Lettings are very teribble at looking after their customers. They should not be awarded at all. Avoid this agency at all costs!

My visit to the agency was to obtain some information about moving into a house where tenants were moving out, it seemed the correct thing to do, considering that it is usual for agents of a property to receive references and details from new tenants. Alongside this there has been a lot of confusion with the deposit situation and I wanted to make sure that any damage done to the property before my arrival would be dealt with before I laid down a deposit. Gavin and his colleague were quick to tell me that I shouldn't be in their office and that the landlord had given them no instructions, it was the landlord who had suggested to me that I pop in.
Gavin then went on to say that because I had been staying at the property as a guest for a month it could well have been me that had caused the damage. I then replied that it was just general wear and tear to which he replied, "You don't need to tell me how to do my job". How rude, aggressive and totally unnecessary. I would strongly advice the agency to conduct some people skills and customer service training.  advice throughout, in our instance, a protracted and sometimes very frustrating process. this level of service, and simply doggedness no doubt did help us no end and i would be very happy to use them again. they simply seem to work harder than many of the other agents in London Road, they are often there long after the others have closed and that to me, shows their desire to do a good job well.
i would recommend all the staff there, in particular Jonathan who was tireless in his approach and always positive in attitude.
