Dutch & Dutch have just taken over the agency administration of a group of properties where I live.
Their approach is the most unprofessional I have seen.
They are trying to steam roller the 20 sitting tenants in these houses with new rules, new processes and a new rent rise, without taking into regard that most of us have been there for 2-3 years already. They insist on treating us like students, claim that they are trying to protect us as it’s “just a houseshare” and will not listen when we try to explain that we’ve looked after these houses for the last few years without ever skipping the rent or harassing the landlord.
I love the house I’ve lived in for so long, but if I have to deal with Dutch & Dutch, I am seriously considering moving straight out.

Beware. I used the agents to rent a property (1 year rent, 6 months break) in Kensal Rise. Their service was initially friendly and efficient until the contract was signed. I wanted a property long term (2 years) and made it very clear. Sadly, 7 days after moving in I was told by the landlord that the property will be sold and 1) I will have people looking at the property; AND 2) it is most likely I will have to move out after 6 months. I feel seriously misrepresented. I was told by the landlord directly that 'I could expect agents to be liers'.

I approached Dutch and Dutch and a number of other local agents a few months for advice on our house in west hampstead. The advice they provided was impartial, accurate and in MY best interests not just to win my business.
I subsequently instructed Dutch and dutch to sell my house which has just completed and the service throughout was exceptional, I would highly recommend them.Was this review helpful? Yes

Looked at buying a flat through them, with an offer accepted and nearing completion. After them telling me that they are not in the business of gazumping and the flat having supposedly been taken off the market they managed to find a higher offer.
I'm aware that gazzumping does happen, but feel that these guys encourage this type of behaviour. I wont use them again and would adivse anyone using them to take all their sweet talk with a large pinch of salt as they wont have any hesitation in screwing you.
