As a newcomer to letting a property and needing to find out more how to go about letting for the first time I was recommended to contact Dean Ayling of Colin Dean Residential. I had previously lived near to Harrow for 20 years and an old friend of mine recommended Dean.That was the best advice I have received, because I soon realized that compared to others the knowledge and advice given by Dean was outstanding. After putting me right on so many aspects of how to set about letting a property I asked him how he could know so very much about letting.... he said...it's because all of us here consistently work to the highest industry standards. Colin Dean are actually the first Letting Agent I have used to rent a property, but I can say that I have found it a very positive experience. I found the whole process went smoothly and I felt that Chris Gair, the staff member who I dealt with throughout was very professional, giving me all the information I required and answering any of the questions I had leading up to my move in date. On the whole I have been very pleased with the service I have recieved as a landlord from Colin Dean. I have dealt with Ryan Toms, Chris Gair, Kerry Morton and Mr Dean Ayling himself and they have all offered good advice and done there best to provde an efficient and friendly service. I have however recently been a little disappointed with an accounts administration error and also maintenance work that was carried out without pior notification.

Almost nine years ago, in the Summer of 2003, I found Colin Dean while using the Internet to search for a one bedroom flat to rent in Harrow. A few years later, in March 2006, I decided to move to a larger flat. I was reluctant to change to another estate agent so I was delighted when the team at Colin Dean helped me to find my new flat. This was because their team are so professional, caring and considerate. As a tenant, when I have asked for assistance with everyday, and occasionally more urgent problems, their response has been consistently excellent. They genuinely care about your experience and make you feel safe so you can enjoy your home.

I have used Colin Dean Estate Agents in Harrow for a number of years to let out my flat in Harrow on the Hill. I have found their service very friendly and professional throughout. It does not seem to matter what member of the team you speak to as the willingness to assist is a constant. They are one of the few companies that I deal with who in my opinion go out of the way to help and I have on occassion asked for and have been given very good advice in respect of buy to let properties.
Most important of all I have total trust in them and know that they manage their business and mine with integrity which is vital. I have highly recommened them to friends and know that they too have been equally impressed.

Professional, Diligent and excellent customer service is all I have had from Colin Dean for the past 12 months. I came to them as a Landlord from a personal recommendation who told me I wouldn't be disappointed... and I wasn't. They are straightforward and honest and you tend to deal with the same people all the time. I have always found the quality of service from ColinDean to be exemplary. ColinDean prides itself, quite rightly, on understanding the customer (tenant in my case), and making sure that the deal fits both professionally and personally. A 100% track record for finding the best property, is extremely rare in market, in my opinion, but out of the box thinking and a real understanding of the customer's needs, has set ColinDean apart from its' competitors.

I have rented my flat, using Colin Dean as the managing agency, for the last 15 years. I have always found the staff friendly, efficient, and helpful. A couple of years ago I had trouble with a tenant abusing the property to the extent that total redecoration was required. Colin Dean managed to successfully represent me in claiming financial compensation through the appropriate authorities.

Colin Dean Residential have been letting and managing my maisonette for over 20 years. I have found the experienced staff to be friendly and efficient in dealing with matters promptly and in keeping me informed of the progress being made. The team is overseen by a director who is very professional and knowledgeable in various aspects of legislation affecting residential property lettings which helps in ensuring that salient but critical aspects which arise are not overlooked. It is refreshing to find a firm which does not merely subscribe to the idea of providing an excellent service but actually "goes the extra mile" to deliver it I would recommend them to other landlords.

I have just let my house for the first time using Colin Dean. I found them to be professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They turned up for appointments promptly, answered emails and returned calls in a timely manner. They were happy to step in and sort out all the bits and pieces that needed doing when I ran out of time before moving out. I would defintely use them again.

Colin Dean have been letting our flat for the past 12 months and in that time they have offered us an excellent service. The staff are always polite and friendly, have always offered us sound advice and have behaved professionally at all times in all matters relating to letting our property. In addition, they have acted fairly to resolve any problems that have arisen during the tenancy and in doing so maintained a healthy relationship with both us and the tenants.
In our opinion we have always found the service to be excellent and would recommend them to anyone.

We let our property through Colin Dean in June and found them to be fantastic. They found a great professional family for my 2 bedroom house quickly and at the advertised rental amount. I would not hesitate in using the company again or recommending them as the process seemed to be seamless and hassle free.

As the others said below. If you call about a problem they promise to reply but you don't hear back so have to call again! Takes a while before they get problems sorted if they don't tell you how to sort it over the phone and insist it's your own fault!

Painful to deal with. The agent there insisted on calling me 'mate' constantly. They require an exorbitant deposit to take the property off the market which is accompanied by an almost non workable 'agreement', both of which slow the buying process considerably.

More than keen to get you in the property. Once you're in, they are terrible. When I came to the end of my tenancy they were meant to call me when they wanted to bring people around. On at least three occasions they brought people in without telling me.
Returning the deposit was bad as well - almost a month to return the deposit.
When you call to check they say they'll call you back and of course they never do.Was this review helpful? Yes
