Picked up my keys on Friday from Mr. Black and he's been helpful all along. I've used a few estates whilst moving around the UK with my job and some have been terrible but the people at Cityzen could not have been more considerate. I thought I would have to wait days for the references to be completed but they managed to fax and speak to the prevous landlords and commnicated that with my new landords without problems all to get me in as quick as possible. With that experience I would recommend these guys highly.

My girlfriend and I just rented a flat through cityzen and the guys there were great. We initially had a problem on the date we wanted to move in against the date the property was available, all my fault, but Warren at cityzen jumped through hoops to not only get us in 3 days earlier than we should have done but he also met us there on a very cold Sunday morning. Can't thank them enough, just brilliant.

Just let a 1 bed flat in Bethnal Green via Jo at this company, she was very plesant and straight forward. Their management team inducted me in to the property and were also very keen to ensure I was happy and settled in my new home.

We have been renting a property managed by Cityzen. The landlord has instructed Cityzen to manage it and obviously has no clue how laid back Cityzen is about maintenance. Not only does Cityzen not get broken stuff repaired for months, their service (especially Lee Dickens) is extremely rude and high-handed. I'd never rent a property managed by them again and certainly dont recommend that any landlord instructs Cityzen to manage their property for they take months to fix issues, which eventually damages the property. If you do end up dealing with them, Jeremy is the only sensible guy they seem to have. Avoid dealing with Lee.

Cityzen is easily one of the worst estate agencies I have come across in London. It all started when I came in to sign the contract and asked for two changes to the apartment - I specifically requested for some furniture not to be placed into the flat (it was a small new flat and I felt that I did not need some of the furniture the landlord was going to buy for the apartment). Used CItyzen as a landlord and had great service. Found tenants very quickly and they moved in within a week with no issues. Would highly recommend using CITYZEN.

Excellent service, referencing process was smooth, and fully listened to all requests. I was kept fully informed of the progress even though my move in date was not for a while. Once i moved in i had a few maintenance issues, which were dealt with promptly by the property managers, and i have found communication to very easy with all concerned.
Thanks Cityzen for the excellent service, would highly recommend.

I bought a property through CityZen and was very happy with the service I recieved, despite there being a few problems on the vendors side the guys at Cityzen did all they could to help me and even dropped me my keys at 10pm. I would use them again without any problems

Please do not use this company, they have caused us no end of trouble since the moment we informed them we were leaving our property.
They conveniently misplaced our inventory instructions and have forced us into arbitration.
They charged us excessive fees to leave the property early, contradicting the arrangement we had with one of the agents.
They change their stories on a daily basis, contradict each other giving the impression they make fees up as they go along.
We were pleased with the agency when we first took on our tenancy as the process was swift and organised. Unfortunately they let themselves down at the end of the process which will dissuade people from repeat business.
Be careful and be prepared to ask a lot of questions.

Never ever use Cityzen. These people are a disgrace. Completely unprofessional from start to finish. The man (well child) showing us around made a number of promises he couldn't keep (dropping agency fees, reduced rent, moving date in next few weeks), after we paid a

I would agree with all other comments on this post. The agents are lazy, have hidden costs including a finders fee - but they just post the ads on gumtree like everyone else.
Be careful around utilities - they say they will set up utilities for you but don't bother to collect the meter readings and don't advise you to, they do not even tell you what company they are transferring you and won't email you back when you ask.
The staff are rude, unhelpful and anyone should be very wary about using them.

Complete bunch of wide boys, avoid at all costs. They didn't put my deposit in a Tenants Deposit Scheme - which is illegal. Everything they said would be there when I moved in (painted, etc) wasn't. These are cowboys.

Terrible! Useless and CityZen Estate Agents even had the cheek to insult me!!. The previous occupants did a runner and CityZen Estate Agents knew that there were numerous bills with extremely high debts yet they did not tell me this when I enquired about the electricity company. CityZen just told me to wait for the next bill as supposedly they did not know who the energy provider is. Just a week after moving in, when I came back from work, my electricity was cut off as EDF had given prior warnings before I moved in. They lied to us when we moved in - they said there would be a 6 month break clause but this wasn't there on the day. I explained that I wanted to move out after x months and I was reassured that I could, but it turned out my landlord had no idea whatsover. These agents will do anything (including openly lie to you) to get you to sign contracts. They told us that we would have be able to get a parking permit (lie), they changes the property we were going to get 3 times, and they told us we'd have a 6-month break clause which they changed on the day we signed the contract: "the landlord decided not to offer this". wtf? Clearly they knew from the start....

Not only are there lots of hidden charges at the beginning they find ways to charge you for lots of other things during your tenancy. The staff are rude and unfriendly, and requests to get things fixed are met with a "fix it yourself" response. Highly suspect lot.

COWBOYS. Never ever use this estate agents - they are supposedly 'managing our property'. The answer we received from them for fixing a number of problems was 'this is too much hassle'.

CityZen Estate Agents have hidden charges they don't tell you about. A tenant finders fee???

Next morning when I spoke to her to get my tenancy faxed to EDF as proof that I just moved in (I had not been given the tenancy contract to keep) she scolded me for calling her at 10pm saying what do you expect me to do? Mind you, when the electricity was cut off, the alarm was blaring in intervals through out the night and I was not given any alarm code when i moved in. This continued till next morning. CityZen Property Management took their own sweet time in faxing my tenancy to EDF and even had the cheek to tell me that there is no big deal about having no electricity for the weekend! CityZen were no help in sorting out the alarm which rang and finally stopped 18 hours later. CityZen staff refused to let me speak to the manager stating that the manager does not want to speak to me until next monday (which is 2 days away). EDF were so sympathetic and were shocked with the way CityZen treated me as it was their fault for not telling me that EDF was my energy provider so that I could notify them of my moving in.
