    We have been very pleased with the service provided by Chase Evans. Everything has worked well. Our questions have always been answered quickly and professionally. We have been treated with great understanding, especially in the beginning when we had some difficulties with moving here from abroad. We are specially grateful to Mr Benjamin Kelly who worked hard so that we could get the apartment we wanted. We would definitely recommend Chase Evans to anyone looking for an apartment. They made us feel like they really care about us as tenants and our situation. I do not have a bad thing to say about this company.

    DO NOT USE CHASE EVANS. They are THE worst company I have EVER come accross.
    I cannot relay my anger and frustration for this useless and incompetent company. They are all over you like a rash when you are signing up, but once you are in the property, you may as well kiss goodbye to your deposit and anything else you require from them.
    They dont answer emails, they wont return your phonecalls, no one has a clue whats going on. We have been OUT of our rented property in Pan Peninsula for over 5 weeks now, and they have kept money back for the " Cooling Charges" as they are in... (read more)

    Unprofessional and irresponsive.Please do not use Chase Evans because you will loose your deposit and more money,they have a plan from the begginning not to return whatever amount of deposit you have with them.Please stay away from them if you can.I regretted not searching about them before using their services.I rented a two bed house from Chase Evans,moving into the the property was a bit of a nightmare,we agreed for certain work to be carried out,they promised it was going to be done before we moved in but it wasn't ,they later said it was going to be done a day after our moving in but... (read more)

    Chase Evans are terrible. At first you will feel that they are inept, but I genuinely feel that they know exactly what they are doing in an attempt to rip you off, and over charge you at any possible time.
    Moving in was a joke. It caused multiple problems and much hassle. So okay, I just get the impression that the agent was was useless, but then when deciding to move out, it is at this point when Chase Evans are at the immoral, unethical best.     From the very beginning Chase Evans has been a really crap company. I really really wish that I could have read the reviews here and on google before dealing with them. They were quite happy to take my money when I found the flat that I wanted - however they said that there would be a TV with the flat - so I sold mine, day before we move in I'm told there is no TV - Whoopsie! The day of the move in, no slot was booked for me for the moving van, which was their responsibility. The check out was late so I was made to just wait outside.     Booked an appointment to have a viewing and they hadn't they keys to access the property. Rescheduled the appointment for a different day and guess what they hadn't they keys to access the property once again. So i went to the property twice but actually viewed it from the street.
    I was told another appointment would have been arranged but I have (luckily) not heard from them ever since.
    Complete waste of time, I count my self lucky as in the meantime I've found another firm who genuinely care about their customers

    I am really regretting using Chase Evans. I've had the same experience as everyone else here, no responses, nothing works in the flat, it never gets fixed, you waste hours of your life trying to get them to do the simplest aspects of their job. When they do contact you they give you an infuriating, rubbish excuse as to why they should not have to help you. Just not on. The five stars must be from those letting out or from the people that work there. Unprofessional from the staff in the offices all the way up to the managers. I will also be sending them to the financial ombudsman if they try and take a penny from our deposit.

    Went to see a property in Barking. Agent arrived 20 minutes late. Saw one place that was in a real dirty mess. Ok, not the agents fault, but I would wonder how these people rent these places if the check are so rigourous for tenants. Saw the second place. Much better but I felt uncomfortable the way the agent just let us into the property implying that they have TOLD the tenants that they are showing people this week so whether the tenants agree or not it doesn't matter and we are going in.     Wish I had researched Chase Evans before using them. The letting negotiator was not interested in anything else but get the lease signed even though the apartment was in a fair state. Once this was completed we were referred to the maintenance manager who had an attitude of discontent towards females and never took ownership to get the issues resolved. I am totally disgusted with the level of service, or lack there of, with this company. Even attempting to escalate the complaint was a challenge as the maintenance manager didnt seem to understand that I was trying to esclate the issue to a director.

    Incredibly slow follow up, emails and calls not returned, questions not being answered. It took over one week to get initial feedback. In general the woman I was dealing with was lazy, incompetent and always "in a meeting" or "on the phone". I have lodged a formal complaint with her manager as she is totally useless. If I were a landlord I would never consider Chase Evans, and as a tenant I would never have gone for the apartment had I known this before. Be warned!!

    They had 9 properties on their website in Barking - we asked to view them but they were all unavailable. They then added a further 5 properties the following week, but again these were not available to view. They have now added another two - still not available. Who is viewing/living in these properties - are they actually a Lettings Agency at all? Website appears to be a complete work of fiction - what a waste of time. We called them so many times to try and view these flats and they rarely if ever returned our calls and were completely vague when they did. I wouldn't rent Buckingham Palace for £1 pcm from them, even if it included utilities!

    AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I've moved to a one bedroom flat in may 2011, which had a serious water leak issue that ruined he whole bathroom& part of the carpet and the wall in the bedroom adjacent to it. They were supposed to fix everything before I moved in but on the day I was moving it turned out that they havent done so yet. They were busy fixing it only partially the first week I moved, in which the bathroom was not functional.     I'm quite suprised at what I've been Reading, I've been a tenant with Chase Evans for almost two years, I have received an excellent service. They have been taking care of us, maintenance problems are dealt with fast and efficent. The renewal process was very smooth and they took into consideration my situation, we have no hassle from them at all, Im not sure why people have such a problem with them, I've reccomended my friends to them and they are also very pleased with the service being provided. I will definatley stay with Chase Evans for a long time as they are different from other agents and actually care about us as tenants. Seriously don't be fooled by what you read here, it's total rubbish in my opinion.

    I thought i had give them a chance since they have what was required, however, they entice you with paying a fee of 250 before giving your request to the landlord which is non refundable if your references etc fail (but is deducted towards the rent). However, they do not respond to emails, dont even listen to your needs ask for the same information a number of times, sloppy lost my trust before going any further with them, been tutted at for making a simple request - and you have to pay an admin fee for this Hmm.

    Absolutely rubbish agency.

    Just before we renewed our tenancy, they tried repeatedly to kick us out by arranging viewings after viewings even though it was made clear by us that we intended to stay on and our landlord doesn't actually want the hassle of getting another tenant in and would rather we stayed on. Months later, our flat is still listed on their website as available to rent.

    Maintenance guys are on another planet (the slow one!). They never get back to you and you have to keep on chasing them (no pun intended).

    Their accounts department doesn't fare any better either - sending out rent arrears letters left right and centre proving they can't even add up.

    I wish I had seen this site before using Chase Evans. What a joke of a company. They have broken so many requirements in our rental agreement. They also don't come back to you at all. It is an absolute joke. Busy taking them to the ombudsman now. If he doesn't help then I will get a lawyer. They should not be allowed to operate like this period.

    Absolutely terrible agency, we plan on leaving our current flat as soon as possible. We have had so many maintenance issues since moving into the flat and not only is it impossible to get hold of anybody from maintenance, once you do, they are very unlikely to do anything at all. When we moved in the boiler was broken for nearly a month before they could get someone out to fix it, and now the washing machine has not been working for nearly 2 months. Absolutely diabolical service. No emails get through to them, they simply say they have not received them! None of the minor repairs have been done since we have moved there and most were not covered on the initial inventory. When we tried to get them added, all they said was they would take it into consideration. I am very dubious whether we will get our full deposit back...but I am not averse to taking legal action.

    This was my first experience of dealing with Chase Evans, and, I have to say, their service has been faultless. Their initial appraisal was accurate and knowledgeable, their marketing effective and their administration thorough.
    My apartment has been let very quickly and at a higher rent than I had expected.
    They filled me with confidence at every stage and I will definitely be using them again.

    My husband and I own a large converted apartment in a listed building in Royal Victoria Docks. We live overseas and Chase Evans was instructed to find good suitable tenants with excellent references.

    CE have been negligent in getting the tenants we specifically specified and falsely represented the tenants to get us to agree to a tenancy with them. Firstly, we were told there were two professionals but it transpired there were three young men who signed the lease. We repeatedly asked for references and a copy of the Tenancy Agreement but these were only made available to us five months... (read more)

    They are horrible, unnecessarily increasing the rental value of Barking central properties where as some of the properties in barking central are cheaper by the other estate agent. All the rooms in barking central are small compared to some other new development in block flats in Barking. The interior have poor quality materials just after three years of development most of them are flimsy and broken. Pathetic.

    So be careful and always negotiate the price.

    The haven't given back my deposit after a month and half and after being disappointingly rude to me the say I can't get it back because they have to use it for damages I had noticed and informed them about. They are so kind to you when moving in but after you pay for everything they will just ignore you (including the managers).

    Spent 2 years in a 2 bed property let by Chase Evans. Was told the flat came with a parking space when it didn't. Had to chase them to get one sorted.

    When my 1st housemate moved out, and another friend moved in they seemed completely incapable of understanding this concept. My friend filled in all the forms and sent off the contract, but right till we moved out they still thought my 1st flatmate was living there!
    They never even changed the deposit from his name to mine, even after contacting them to specifically make sure this is done.

    Absolutely useless and really rip you off when it comes to moving out. Avoid like the plague.

    The underling staff are very helpful & do their best to accommodate you. But unscrupulous behaviour happens at Director level. I purchased my rental property over 3 years ago. My solicitor told me that Chase were jeopardising the purchase because they refused to give any information about the corporate tenants! Neither did I receive any compensation for damage caused by tenants because Chase said the corporate tenants didn't pay a deposit which I find utterly incredible. So I parted company with Chase in 2007. However, Chase still use photo images of my property as bait advertising. Utter cowboys. Landlords beware... your property will be used long after you sever your agreement with them.

    I instructed Chase Evans to let my apartment in Canary Wharf and was pleasantly surprised to find a trustworthy estate agency to deal with.

    Their marketing was very good, staff were all professional and helpful and they found me a fantastic tenant who has been in my property for 3 years now.

    Would definitely use again in the future.

    I found Chase Evans to run a very personable and proffesional way to searching for an exquisite appartment within the Docklands Area. The Agent Chris listened and took note of my requirements for an appartment I was looking for and provided me with a number of options within the price bracket I had discussed with him. The whole opperation ran smoothly and I am very happy with my new home! Would definately recommend using Chase Evans Canary Wharf if you are looking for a quality flat in the Dockland area.

    One of the most useless agencies I have ever used in 15 years of living in London. Nothing gets done, ever. Paid the wrong rate of rent for 6 months and they didn't notice. Most employees struggle with English in its written form.

    I had to find a place to move into within a short space of time and when i called Chase Evans the agent managed to book me in for viewings within 2 days. the agent was polite, honest and extremely helpful. as soon as the landlord accepted my offer i was able to sign the contract and make the payment straight away. the management team were able to deal with some problems i had with the apartment effectively and efficiently. Chase Evans is the best agent i have ever used and will definitely use them again :)

    Agreed a time to view a property. The agent did not show up and did not cancel the appointment either. Waited at Bermondsey Station for half an hour in vain.

    Don't use these agents. I gave them an offer for an apartment, they took a 250 deposit for "taking the apartment off the market", then called me to say that the landlord has agreed to my offer. Just as I was about to send them the signed paperwork, they called me again to say that the landlord has changed his mind... I recon they pushed another prospective customer to get more money out of them! Not sure how legal the whole thing is, I'd expect a verbal agreement to have some value... Still waiting for my deposit money back.

    Most awfull experience with this agent. Opps they charge hell a lot of money for check in and check out and nothing is transpearent. Most important is when you check out they ensure that u will not get any penny back from your deposit. I promise they ensure this and only this. Furhter, to realise your money you got to make/beg minimum 60 phone calls almost daily. And after two months they may react. Please do not venture whith Chase Evans.

    I can even give the lowest rating possible as they are so terrible, never return any phone calls or even reply to you emails. Luck by chance even if you get to speak t o the relevant person, you will get to hear a same recording as they used before i.e. yes they are in process of liaising with the technician or yes the landlord has approved and they are in process of carrying out the work and you could wait months before anything happens. I think these peoples are good for nothing and terrible at everything they do. I would definitely not recommend them to any one.
