The sale of my house was not straight forward and I was unlucky enough to lose two lots of buyers. The first chain broke and the second potential buyers pulled out because of a subsidence problem that my property had suffered many years ago. Throughout the whole of this very stressful time I found Charlton Grace to be wholly professional and honest in their dealings and at the same time very supportive in going the extra mile in helping me to sell my property. All four staff at Charlton Grace were approachable, kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Charlton Grace have been a breath of fresh air! We sold our house end of 2011 and we were given practical advice on what was realistic to sell for and subsequently it took four days! Viewings were booked the same week and having a six week old baby at the time I cannot express what a relief it was to have the worry taken away. We had no problems with the sale and everyone that works there really does provide true customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and any viewings to arrange on other properties was quick and convenient. I have never had the pleasure to deal with a whole branch of people who care about what they do and are so genuine as these guys. The two negative comments on here are crazy, lacks substance - there are many estate agents who this could apply to but definitely NOT Charlton Grace!!

We recently sold our house through Charlton Grace and were very pleased with the service. Lee came round to take the pictures and worked with us to show the house in the best way to attract viewers. The house went in the paper and also on the various websites that same week and four viewings were arranged immediately. Various staff members handled the viewings so we didn't have to show people round and the house was sold within two days. From then on Jon handled things and kept in regular contact between us accepting the offer and exchanging contracts. He updated us regularly with how things were going and helped to chase solicitors etc.. We are not planning on moving again but if we were, we would definately use Charlton Grace.

I saw the other reviews and it feels like they are talking about a different agency. I have been really impressed with the service and attitude of all the staff I've been involved with at Charlton Grace in Basingstoke.
We put our house on the market in October 2011 and asked that the property wasn't marketed because we were only really thinking of moving after Christmas and didn't want the place being advertised for several months. However, we were happy for people to be told that it was available.
Without any marketing, we had 4 viewings and 2 2nd viewings. Charlton Grace handled all... (read more)

I have used Charlton Grace on multiple occasions to buy and sell property. They are efficient, reliable and most importantly honest. I would highly recommend their service, as it has proved value for money and has been very successful. When I have encountered unreliable purchasers, Charlton Grace have endeavoured to ensure that the sale has stayed on course and we have got to completion. They are the only agent I would use in Basingstoke, for sale and lettings.

Useless. Advised us that they had sold yet refused to list as sold STC, never communicated, never passed offers on, advised buyer to keep looking as we hadn't found. when buying a property through them we were advised a price to enter the bid, we did then they advised the bid wss way to low???, what the hell!!
Grace side of Charlton Grace is as typical an estate agent as you could ever expect, rude, blames all others for their mistakes, through enough crap against the wall and some will stick yet the rest will slide away, this is how they sell your house. Rude, rude, rude. Would never use again. One woman who works there has a terible attitude problem. Amazed they do any business atall! Avoid unless you want to be spoken to with very little respect.
