I have used this agent for the past 18 years in the letting of several of my properties. They have always been very helpful and extremely courteous. I would recommend them as they go beyond the normal call of duty in helping me the landlord and my tenants.

Best avoided! Charles Abby look only after their own interest against both those of the landlord and the tenant, and aren't very good at that even.
You can only expect a lot of empty talk, no service whatsoever, they expect you to chase up their so called engineers yourself for months, no common sense refurbishments whatsoever...
In other words, they are taking full advantage of this as a legalised form of scamming people, so little wonder they are apparently losing customers left and right and barely surviving at the moment.
Don't buy their "local company for better service" BS, and if you are unlucky enough to already deal with them for any reason, make sure they confirm whatever empty promises they make in writing.

This company delayed of giving back deposits and supported claims of damage which I believe were not true.
This website deletes negetive reviews, so I leave the decision of trustworthyness to the reader.

I have used Graham and Julian (Charles Abby) on numerious occasions to let properties that I own in the Newbury / Thatcham area.
They have always found good quality tenants for me on each occasion. They offer knowledge and advise on rental rates in the area. They ensure that I maximise my returns and ensure that my voids are minimised.
As Charles Abby specialise in the letting side of the market they have a wealth of knowledge about covering the letting spectrum, including changes in the law.
They have a number of contracted trades people who can sort out most problems in the property.
Their service to me has always been top notch and I will continue to use their services.

Very slow service when reporting problems to landlord.
