Excellent staff, very helpful and they also gave the most accurate valuation of our property. We liked the fact that Neil sent a letter before he came round introducing himself. They may not be the largest in Aldershot but we really liked the personal attention they gave and the prompt replies to any queries we had.
In the end they sold our property on the first week it was on sale, which was great for us, and when we handed our keys in they have us a 'moving in' gift of all the little essentials we had forgotten that we might need!
I would recommend them to anyone living in the Aldershot area.

We instructed castles having already seen a property we liked but didn't have much hope in selling in time to be able to offer on the property. However we had a near asking price offer within 24hours of the property going on the market. We couldn't ask for more than that!! This was then followed by great sales progression, we had all number of complications on the way but we got there in the end thanks to all of Duncan's hard work.

All of my dealings with Kelly have been very positive and her approach to any issues i have raised have been professional and prompt. I would definitely recommend her and the team to my other landlord friends. I have other properties that i will move to the Castles Farnham management team as and when they become vacant.

We have recently completed on the sale of our house through Castles in Farnham. We are a demanding couple, who expect very high standards, and we were absolutely delighted with the service from Steve and his team. Updates were frequent, negotiations were smooth, and the price obtained was good. I believe the team went beyond what we realistically expected from an estate agent. They really own the process end-to-end, and add value wherever they can. Steve is a seasoned negotiator with the very enviable skill of being able bringing all parties to a common conclusion - you need this along the way. We would definitely use these guys again – no question.

Myself and partner purchased our first property through Castles and found the whole process very straight forward, thanks to Steve. Compared to some other agents in Farnham, Steve was very honest and did everything to ensure the whole process went as smoothly as possible. We were even recommended a mortgage broker who was able to find us the best deal.
When the time comes to sell up, we will definately be using Castles to sell our property.

I have just bought a flat through Castles in Farnham. It was a bit of a rollercoaster and I nearly withdrew from the purchase due to a number of issues with the vendor. Steve was very patient and supportive throughout the process. He invested a lot of time and effort in trying to sort out all the issues and making sure everyone was happy. Moving can be a stressful experience, but Steve was a pleasure to deal with - and he always had a smile on his face!

Having changed agents to use Castles they did an excellent job in a difficult market to sell my property. An acceptable offer was made in 4 weeks but the purchaser subsequently withdraw as their own sale fell through. 3 weeks later another purchaser was found. I was provided with regular marketing updates which I personally found most re-assuring. The legal part of the process took longer than expected but again, Castles followed this through chasing the other parties as necessary and we got there in the end.

It seemed like we were never going to get the property due to various legal problems, not helped by having 15 other interested buyers, however the team at Castles stuck with us and supported us throughout the process and we are now the proud owners of a new house... if only they did electrics, plumbing and decorating too!

We were in the lucky position of only having to sell our house, but I was very sanguine (bearing in mind the apparent state of the market) as to our chances when I first spoke to Steve just before Xmas 2011. He was absolutely certain it would sell, but I thought 'Thats just the agent talking!'. The house went on the market on 3 Jan & Steve pulled a masterstroke by inviting a couple to view who'd placed an offer on a similar house in the same street (but who'd not had a response from the vendor). They viewed on the 6th, made an acceptable offer on the 8th & we completed today, 2nd March . Less than 2 months from advert to completion. Might be a record!. Cheers Steve to you & the team who kept in regular touch on every step of the journey! Shame the rating only goes as high as 'Excellent' - 'Outstanding' would be more applicable.

We received excellent professional advice from Steve relating to the relative advantages/disadvantages of selling or letting our flat (a small ground floor flat in a property containing 6 other flats very close to Farnham town centre). Having decided to hold on ownership of the property and let it, Tracy (initially) followed by Kelly (Tracy went on maternity leave) have given, and are continuing to give, us an extremely high quality of charming, professional and personal attention.

At all times I was most impressed by the strong and patient rapport the team had built with the vendor which ensured a smooth purchase. Key for me was the open, honest, accessible and effective communications from Castles throughout. A nice touch was a completion day goodie bag containing essentials such as tea, coffee, biscuits, some sparkly and even a spare light bulb!

Just completed on the sale of our house in Farnham...
I have nothing but praise for the friendly service and support that we have received from Castles over the last few months... even when the sale was delayed it seemed that Steve and Donna were constantly keeping me in the loop and would be acting in my best interests throughout...
Having used a few agents in Farnham I would have to say that Castles seem to stand out for their approach to provide the best level of customer care and support... I wont mention who the other were...
We actually bought the same house through Castles in the first place... so it has been good to keep that connection there...
I rarely write these kind of reviews... but I felt it may be helpful for others thinking of going with Castles to read about the positive experiance that we have had with them...
Thanks Steve and Donna... who knows... maybe back in the future to buy another house...

The best estate agent we have ever used, a very difficult purchase due to lots of issues with the seller but Duncan put himself out to sort issues and keep us informed every step of the way!
Even arrived to give us the keys and a welcome pack and a call recently to see how we were getting on, will be recomending Castles to all of our friends and using them when we move (not for years hopefully though).
Cant recomend this company any more highly!

A savvy and personalised service with an excellent knowledge of the property market and property marketing, Castles provided the most accurate valuation and great images for the sale of our property. Their work with progressing the sale was really spot on and I would definitely recommend them, they agency has a good balance of resources for people looking a wide marketing reach and genuine service.

I'm glad the people we were buying off chose to use Castles as their estate agent. Buying a property through these agents was actually an enjoyable process. They were very helpful and accommodating which was especially important as we were first time buyers. They were also actively involved during the legal process which surprised me. They kept me regularly up-to-date by phone and email. I had the pleasure of dealing with Duncan and Simon who were both very professional and helpful. When we move up the ladder we'll definitely be using Castles and will be recommending them to our friends and family.
They also gave us a little hamper as a moving in present which I thought was a nice touch.
These guys give estate agents a good name!

After a few false starts with other Estate Agents and almost being at the point of giving up trying to sell our flat, we decided to go to Castles for one last go - this turned out to be a really good decision and one we wished we had made much earlier!!
We mainly dealt with Simon & Duncan at Castles who were both friendly, enthusiastic and most importantly very committed to selling our property which felt very different from our experience with other agents.
We also purchased a property via Castles and Duncan in particular was fantastic at helping to sort out any issues that came up on either our sale or purchase and made sure that everything kept moving - he really was very good and as a result we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Castles to anyone else, thank you!!

Penny & Tracey were simply fantastic. I've had a few bad experiences with agents in the past but the team at Castles looked after the whole process of finding and moving a new tenant in. We have been pleased with the professional way in which our sale was handled by Castles from taking the particulars to getting the property onto the market and actively using their contacts, and a variety of promotional avenues, to find a buyer. We were impressed with Castles’ ability to find a buyer, and secure a satisfactory offer, within 7 weeks. Perhaps most importantly, they were able to gauge the market well which resulted in a sales price over 17% higher than the asking price recommended to us by a another well known local agent who we had also initially considered to handle the sale. Altogether a most satisfactory conclusion to a largely trouble free experience which was less stressful than we had expected it to be.

Castles Aldershot branch were OK and competent enough.
At one point during my property purchase there was an unexplained hiatus which I never really got to the bottom of - both sets of solicitors blaming each other for the failing to send paperwork. At this stage I suppose it was reasonable for the selling agent to phone me, but the attitude of Scott in the Aldershot office could have been better. He came across as aggressive and although I wouldn't allow one interaction to tarnish my view of the whole company, I woul prefer not to deal with him again.

I found the estate agent Simon who came to carry out a valuation on my property to be very patronising. He talked down to me and I felt it was because of my age (I'm only 24) and to an extent gender as he kept telling me 'anecdotes' about daft things women in his life had done. I had a bad experience with the Farnham branch of Castles about 3 years ago when I was property hunting and I found the estate agent Charlie very rude.
I'm afraid that I will not be using them again for anything!

First impressions of Castles in Farnham were very professional. Particulars provided were satisfactory. We were really impressed with our first point of contact which was with Charlie. He negotiated with ourselves and our sellers,he kept us always inform, he was able to build a strong working alliance, which created an environment of trust, we are very grateful to Charlie, and how he conducted himself when challenging issues arose. I would strongly recommend Castles, and without hesitation use Castles again. An excellent Estate Agency.

A long and difficult executors sale handled extremely well from beginning to end. Steve Tebbutt in particular, along with Charlie Barr and the rest of the Farnham office always kept me well informed throughout. Lots of good offers to start with but most of them going nowhere due to falling prices and a down turn in the market place. Castles always remained positive and eventually a buyer came along that could satisfy a speedy conclusion in an uncertain market. Not the price we would have liked but under the circumstances a favourable conclusion. Very easy team to work with. Would recommend Castles and use them again if and when the necessity occurs.

The house I bought was the 2nd Castles showed me and in the end I came back for a 2nd look and made an offer. Mike and Scott were very good about sorting out viewings even at short notice as I only had a week to find a house. My only complaint relates to the length of time solicitors take to make the phone call to say release the keys as funds have been received. You win some and lose some I guess. Very kind gesture was the small bag with coffee, tea,

There are honest, hard working agents out there, ones that return calls when they say they will and go that extra step to get things moving.
This is for a purchase so the agent didn't need to give me the attention and just look after the vendor, not even our agents for our sale met 10% of Castles efforts! In fact I have not heard from our agents since we were under offer!
Special mention to Charlie. He has kept in touch and returned my enquiries in the same day, called me back when he said he would and has just been absolutely outstanding, an asset to Castles! Charlie has done more than was asked, very friendly and made the process easy
If we every move on, we will be coming to see Charlie at Castles again! Keep up the standards!

We recently purchased a property through Castles in Farnham, we would definitely recommend anyone to use them. We mainly dealt with Charlie Barr who was excellent throughout the purchase process. He called us almost every week to provide an update on where we were and when there were a few issues after the survey Charlie dealt with them promptly and efficiently. Several times I called and left a message but wasn't called back. When there were complications I was told by the estate agent to make the calls that they should have been making. On completion the estate agent didn't even think to phone me and tell me we had completed. At no point did they say thankyou for my business afterwards, which given the fact that the commmission was nearly 5k of my hard earned is very disappointing and quite rude.

Where do we start - absolutely amazing - especially Charlie Barr who guided us through the ups and downs of our very successful house purchase. On our first visit to Castles, we were treated with total respect and understanding by a charming South African lady ( sorry we don't know your name) , to our first viewing with the delightful Donna to our final decision making visit with Charlie, our experiences with Castles has been so helpful, professional and very friendly. The problems of living 200 miles away disappeared with almost daily updates from this remarkable estate agent. Then, the icing on the cake was to receive a welcome pack of champagne, coffee, tea etc when we picked up our keys.

The service that we recieved from Castles was brilliant, Scott and Mike were very proffessional at every step of the process, My only regret with the whole process is that we didnt use Castles to sell our property.
Castles were by far the best agents in the area that we delt with. They are only a small team and this means that there is a more personal approach to the way they work.

 as to our chances when I first spoke to Steve just before Xmas 2011. He was absolutely certain it would sell, but I thought 'Thats just the agent talking!'. The house went on the market on 3 Jan & Steve pulled a masterstroke by inviting a couple to view who'd placed an offer on a similar house in the same street (but who'd not had a response from the vendor). They viewed on the 6th, made an acceptable offer on the 8th & we completed today, 2nd March . Less than 2 months from advert to completion. Might be a record!.
