Fantastic service from start to finish. Debbie located the perfect property for our family and needs, our only concern that it would not be secured within in budget. Debbie worked with us and the sellers to secure the property at the right price for both parties and Debbie's hard work did not stop there.
Debbie communication with us at every stage, even when no news to report, was brilliant. Debbie really kept the sale moving and we felt valued customers at all times. Carsons were professional and helpful and guided me through what could have been a very stressful experience, in a very calm and efficient manner, particularly when there were problems in the chain. Their communication and people skills are excellent, and quite clearly, work as a team. Whilst the whole team were on hand to answer any questions and allay any fears, I would, in particular like to mention James, who was extremely patient throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to use Carsons again in the future, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends. Thank you.

I chose this estate agent as their opening conversation with me seemed to suggest that they could be trusted. This did indeed come to be proven.
I particularly liked the fact that I only ever dealt with one contact. He was professional and honest with me at all times, acheived a very quick sale, and kept me informed at all times of progress.

I went with Carsons because they had varied ideas on how to sell the house, they were the only ones who came up with the idea of doing an open day. I found Wayne and Andrew to be very knowledgable about the current market, even down to telling me about the date in which the government were withdrawing the incentive to first time buyers on stampduty. Which was extremley helpful due to the fact that I was selling a first time buyers house. They have kept me upto date on all visits and potential buyers opinions and have been very supportive right to end. I would highly recommend this estate agents. A great team that proved very supportive, at a time when I was dealing with the death of a loved one. Thank you.

Carsons were professional and helpful whilst showing properties of interest to myself. When my offer was excepted on the property the Purchase of the property became more complicated due to the lease needing to be extended. Progress slowed down on the transaction until I chased up the estate agents and the solicitors but Christian at Carsons did a lot of chasing up and kept me informed of progress along the way. Resulting in a completion that was smooth after the lease extension was finalised.

Wayne Woods on behalf of Carsons, presented an excellent service style from the outset; as a first time buyer this property was ideal for us. I was given detailed and thorough information regarding the property and the services provided by Carsons in order to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible. I felt the service was friendly, professional and well-accustomed to suit the clients needs. Having dealt with Carsons for the first time, I was pleased with the service provided and the willingness of Mr Woods to go the extra mile each time, albeit our transaction was not the most straight-forward!

The agent was unhelpful, sarcastic and abrupt. He had very poor people skills. As somebody who works a lot with the general public, families and children it was a surprise to me to be spoken to in such an offensive and obtuse manner. She informed me that I shouldn't have come into the office and kept saying
"Why have you come in? I don't understand why you have come in"

If ever you want to sell your house get Wayne Woods involved. Our house was a particularly difficult sale because of previous problems with the drains and because it had a shared drive. The result was - lots of viewings but no offers. Despite this, Wayne ploughed through all the viewings without complaining and always remained optimistic about the outcome. I have never known anyone so determined to complete a job. Throughout the process, Wayne kept us informed of the progress and eventually his tenacity payed off and the house was sold. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wayne and his staff at the Earley office of Carsons.

I had three agents out to value my house, and John Munday impressed me so much that we decided we would like to deal with John. I was very happy to have sold within 10 days of putting the house on the market, but did find that after I came back from work after having a viewing during the day 1 time the lights were left on the top floor another time the door was not locked by the main lock, also I did agree to show 2 couples around the house as it was after 6.30. I moved to the USA 3 years ago however I had a kept my flat in Camberley. Last year, I tried selling it through Churchills but had no luck. I changed to Carsons in July 2011 who suggested letting it out whilst they would try and sell it. Within 1 week of changing to Carsons, the property was rented out through the Camberley branch. I gave the tenants a month to settle in and then asked for showings to start up again.

Very satisfied customer!
I was made to feel welcome as soon as I entered the office and was given all the help and info I needed as I am a 1st time buyer.
I had a lot of questions and Wayne was happy to answer all of them and in such a way as I was left with a very clear picture of what was going on and how it all works.
He is a pleasure to work with and can have a laugh at the same time. Really goes out of his way to be contactable and to contact me to keep me updated with the answers to all my questions.
Works hard and doesn't slack when it comes to needing help and answers.Very impressed with the whole process and how it was handled. Not rued or condescending once, and I had the feeling I am in safe honest hands, not deceptive (like SOME bread of estate agents... You know the feeling... In your gut when you know when your being had) all estate agents should be this way... carsons are a credit to the industry !!!!

I interacted with Christian Wicks and as a first time buyer it was a special experience. Christian was very professional in his interaction with me; he provided timely input and did understand my requirements as a first time buyer.

Selling your house through tough times is hard but Carsons walked me through every possible outcome and not only where they agents also became friends both Wayne & Andrew where both professional but also understanding. I would reccomend them to anyone thats needs an agent to do what they say they are going to do . Thanks to you both the whole process was less painfull. I had a shared property and selling through a management company is something I would never do again and even when the chips were down I was kept to keep going because of Waynes can do attitude.

Moving house is probably the most worrying time in your life but the friendly professional staff at Carsons could not do enough for me and alleviated all my worries with their outstanding knowledge and positive approach.
with such hard times within the property market I was concerned that it would take an age to sell my house but Debbie Walton pulled out all the stops and within the first week we had 4 viewings resulting with my house being sold within 8 weeks.The expertise of Debbie and her fellow colleagues at Carsons is second to none and I would highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling in Reading.

At the outset of our dealing with the local branch of Carsons, the manager impressed us with his detailed knowledge of the area, the particular benefits of our property relative to the market and his awareness of the relative benefits or limitations of different marketing strategies. His pricing of the property was realistic and not inflated to gain the business. He gave us sound advice as to the timing of the marketing and what we could or should do to the property to increase the chances of a sale. At all times, all members of staff were courteous and professional in their dealings with us and always communicated with us proactively. Despite quickly receiving and accepting an offer, market conditions resulted in the sale falling through. Carsons quickly got back on the case and proactively marketed the property again. They consistently offered us sound advice, ensuring that our interests, as vendors, were protected. I was extremely happy with the service offered and found it easy to work with the team to achieve a completed sale.

Gavin Myers gave us excellent advice regarding the price at which I should market the property and as a result it sold for £65,000 more than the valuation given to us by a more local agent. The case that he made for the market value at our valuation meeting gave me the confidence to proceed with the sale at the higher valuation figure. Carsons also recommended a solicitor to who would work quickly towards completion and this was achieved within 6 weeks. The only comment I would make is that I would have liked regular updates rather than having to take the initiative myself. This may have been due to the fact that the sale was going smoothly but regular updates would have provided reassurance and a better level of customer service.

My husband used them to sell a property in August 2010, all fine sale went through well, fees taken before money was sent to us from solicitors, today I have had bailiffs at my house, CCJs against both of us even though I was nothing to do with the house as they decided they gave the wrong figure to the solicitors and they kindly sent all court information to the property they sold for us even though they have our new address and my husbands mobile number! We will see what the M.D has to say when he checks his emails in the morning! Very unhappy, upset and scared! Would never recommend them!

I cannot praise Carsons, Earley enough. They are highly professional, friendly and thorough. Of the 5 estate agents who valued the property, Carsons were the only ones which I felt completely comfortable with. They were straight forward, explained things appropriately (I wanted to tell some others that I actually did have a brain), and assured me of their full attention. This is what I've had from the start.
They sold our house in three days for just under the highest valuation we got, and substantially more than Romans, Whitenights, Parkers and Roger Platt quoted for their top end figure.
Throughout, the team have been thorough, keeping me up to date with our sale, and our purchase.
If you want professional viewings with peace of mind that they sell your house for what it's worth, then use this team.I'm already recommending them to other people.

The agency is so much in the festive mood that it has no considerations for the tenants who want to rent a house and it could be really urgent for the people to move in the property... My personal experince - we had booked an appartment with them and even after long 10 days they have taken no initatives... Thats after alll checks they are just holding the property... In fact it has been very disturbing for me and my family. And I'll never take their services of this firm plus I will never recomnd it to my friends either. A request to all the other tenanats - plz dont fall prey to them again.

My boyfriend and I bought a property through Carsons only when due to exchange the sellers pulled out. Not the agents fault I know but the whole experience was awful. The salesman who we originally dealt with was lovely and had we dealt with him throughout the process I probably would be writing a whole different comment. However we were passed to the rudest, most abrupt woman in their company. We even asked the manager if we could not deal with her, but still we had a lot of contact with her. Even my solicitor and other agents did not want to deal with her because of her abruptness with them. One agent refused to take her calls!!! I believe in good customer service, and to treat people the way they'd like to be treated themselves, is it really that difficult? If I treated my customers the way she did I would be out of business. Because of this experience I would never use Carsons again and I having spoken to alot of my friends, family and my own customers they wouldn't either!!

Watch out!
Agreed a 1.4% commission fee with the manager Andrew. Did not tell me that i would have to pay that % on what he decided to value the property at. So having sold my property for considerably less i still have to pay as if they sold my home at the original estimated value.
Watch out for this all you silly enough to use Carsons. I would never recommend them to anybody.

I tried to use the Farnham branch to rent yet found the manager a complete nightmare when it came to discussing what I needed and where I needed it to be! Very unhelpful indeed - I ended up going to TLC who were fantastic!

I have been a tenant through Carsons in Camberley for several years and I can not reccomned them enough. During this time I have changed properties to my needs and they can not do enough to help. Any problems always get sorted immediatly and all the girls have always been so helpful and polite. I wouldn't let through anyone else!

He had very poor people skills. As somebody who works a lot with the general public, families and children it was a surprise to me to be spoken to in such an offensive and obtuse manner. She informed me that I shouldn't have come into the office and kept saying
"Why have you come in? I don't understand why you have come in"
She then didn’t give me the time to answer the question, it was like being interrogated. She needs to grasp the fact that in a conversation you have to wait for a person to reply before you start talking over them again and that being sarcastic and defensive is really not the way to speak to people.
My visit to the agency was to obtain some information, She then said to me "You don't need to tell me how to do my job". How rude, aggressive and totally unnecessary. I would strongly advice the agency to conduct some people skills and customer service training. The whole experience was horrible, we are deciding what to do now and having a look at other agencies that we might be able to buy with, I think that having to deal with this weman again would be something I would truly rather avoid even if it means looking for a different place to live./&display=popup&link=http://www.allagents.co.uk/review/21435/&redirect_uri=http://www.allagents.co.uk/review/21435/ "Share on your Facebook Wall"){kind=logo}
, dealt with communicating with me in a different time zone (6 hours behind the UK) and as my solicitor was not the most proactive person, she kept on top of her as well.
The tenants moved out on the Friday and the house was due to complete on the Monday. Friday evening (UK time), Debbie emailed me urgently saying the tenants had left lots of their unwanted belongings in it. I really didn't know how I would get the flat ready for completion Monday morning and even considered flying back that weekend but after talking things through with Debbie at 7pm UK time, Debbie took it upon herself to organise a "man with a van" who went in Saturday morning and cleared the house. The sale completed Monday morning UK time and by the time I got up that morning in the USA, the money was in my UK bank account!!!!
If I ever buy or sell again in the UK, it would be Debbie I would want on my side. She had my interests first, was communicative, calming when I got frustrated about the time it takes to sell in the UK (it's 30 days in the USA!!) and she earned every penny of the commission.

Also the mutual interaction among my solicitor and Carsons could have been better and without my periodic interventions. Also in Christian’s absence I did miss an informed deputy with background knowledge of my case and to guide me through this transaction.
These are the reasons why I could not convince myself to give overall "Excellent" rating to Carsons. I must reiterate that I had very good experience and the entire transaction went very well.
