Founded in Clifton by Charles Joseph Hole in 1867, CJ Hole’s main business was rent collection, which in the Victorian era was much more common than buying. As the years rolled by the company was passed down to his sons, so the focus of the business changed towards the selling of property as well.
CJ Hole continued to prosper and today is a major force within the highly competitive estate agency market in the South West. Their excellent reputation has helped CJ Hole to expand within Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire so that there are now many branches serving the area.
Today, having sold property in three different centuries and as one of the oldest estate agents throughout Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire, CJ Hole is regarded as one of the most highly professional property firms in the region with a tradition of providing a first class service to its customers.

Very happy with the service provided by CJ Hole Bishopston in the selling of our home, Steve and his team were constantly in communication with us throughout the sale, and the feedback from viewings was regular and honest. I was impressed by CJ Hole from the start - I enquired about selling and letting my property, and was visited by specialists in both. I felt I got an honest assessment of my options and a fair price. Overall this put them ahead of their competitors.
The time it took to reach completion took considerably longer than I would have liked, however in this time CJ Hole (and Sam in particular) were very persistent in dealing with a frustrating chain.
I would recommend CJ Hole and happily use them again.

I can say with all honestly that I was astonished with the level of service and the willingness from the individuals I dealt with to go the extra mile. David Whitmee particularly helped with dodgy letting agents and troublesome tenants on my behalf as I do not live in the area and took a great deal of pressure off my shoulders. If I do anything in the area, be it buying, selling or letting again I will use these guys without hesitation and I have already recommended them to a friend who will be using them to buy a property.

CJ Hole were very helpful in both the process of finding a house and seeing the sale through to completion. They were very good about keeping in contact and updating me on the process of the sale. They were also helpful in allowing time and multiple viewings to look around properties.

Professional service from start to finish. Could not have done more, out of hours viewings and communication. Have used a couple of other agents in the area, however CJ Hole by far are head and shoulders above these.

CJ Hole Estate Agents in Southville have been amazing at renting our property out. It was previously on with someone else and we didn't receive much feedback. We put the property on with CJ Hole and liaised with James Dear. Within 10 days the property was rented. James was very proactive and professional throughout the course of the letting. I would definitely recommend them!

Sam worked very hard to push our purchase to a satisfactory conclusion. She was constantly chasing solicitors and other agents and at all stages kept us informed of progress. This far exceeded our expectations of the agent we were purchasing our property through, particularly as we were not the clients paying for this service. We would highly recommend C J Hole.

From the very first interview, George came across as extremely professional and his enthusiasn and energy gave us the confidence we were looking for in an agent which was borne out in practice throughout the sales cycle. I sold my father's property through C J Hole and it was not a straight forward sale and I had a lot of dealings which were always professional. They also went the extra mile as I did not live in the area eg getting meter readings for me and looking after the property. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

I have been a landlord for many years and have a large portfolio, I have been thinking of changing the agent that manages my properties, so I have checked a few agents out, I visited CJ Hole in Clifton and spoke to a lady called Rachel who was very helpful. I was introduced to the manager Sheila, and I took the decision on passing all my portfolio to them, they are helpful very professional and always available to help. I wish I had changed to them years ago.

The agents got the property on the market and secured a professional tenant very quickly so that there was no gap between a change in tenants. They acted professionally and kept me informed of progress at all times. I was very impressed with their service.

This was my first experience of letting through CJHole, and it was excellent. They were extremely proactive at getting the property on the market quickly and very efficient at making viewings happen. This resulted in an offer on the property within only a few days of going on to the market. Any teething problems with prospective tenants were dealt with professionally and hurdles overcome resulting in a successful let. Overall a very positive experience that I would be happy to repeat.

I was very impressed with Tim and his team in Henleaze, all of whom were very committed to helping the process of buying and selling run as smoothly as possible. I felt Tim's professional advice was sound and trusted his judgement. Holly & Molly and the team at CJ Hole were excellent in helping myself and my partner relocate from Norwich to Bristol. The whole process was easy apart from the stress of trying to view houses when living hundreds of miles away. The guys at CJ Hole took account of our circumstances and understood we needed time to get down and told the perspective landlords about our situation. A great experience and hastle free. I viewed lots of rental properties with several different agents but one stood out of the crowd.....Cj Hole. I was particularly impressed with the level of customer service I received from Alex Jones, he would always update me when new properties came onto the market and would go out of his way to arrange viewings that did not always fit around CJ Hole normal working hours. If I was a landlord I would be very happy knowing that this company actively promote there properties and that they are in regular contact with perspective tenants.Some of the other agents I registered with did not even call me once!
