Founded in Clifton by Charles Joseph Hole in 1867, CJ Hole’s main business was rent collection, which in the Victorian era was much more common than buying. As the years rolled by the company was passed down to his sons, so the focus of the business changed towards the selling of property as well.

We received a highly professional standard of service from every member of the team. They maintained channels of communication open and were available for contact until later than other estate agents. We appreciate and thank them very much for the hard work, regular contact and positive attitude during the process of selling.

   I was lucky that a prospective buyer was already on the books of CJ Hole when I first marketed the property, so there was not alot of work to be done re sales/viewings etc. However, George Mawer did work hard at achieving the best possible price for us, and I was kept informed of progress on the sale the whole way through the sales process, especially towards the end when exchange of contracts was imminent.

   We are very happy with all aspects of the CJ Hole experience ( lettings, property management and subsequent sale ) All the staff we dealt with at CJ Hole very friendly and helpful.
   If I had to search for anything negative ( and it would only be a minor point ) I would say that the sales manager came across as a little 'pushy' but she was always professional and I guess this should not have been unexpected in her role.
   Particular thanks go to Holly, Karen and Lisa in lettings and to Kathy in sales who were all a pleasure to deal with ( Hope I didn't forget anyone ! )
   We are now all settled in our new home.

   I have dealt mainly with Nick Stopard over the last three months while I have been trying to find a house in the Henleaze/Westbury area of Bristol. He has been efficient, helpful, very pleasant and not too pushy
   - I particularly appreciated the last attribute! The other members of the Henlease Team who I met, were also kind and efficient and they all tried very hard to find a house for me that "ticked all the boxes"
   In the end, I actually found a house through another Estate Agent but I would not hesitate to recommend CJHole

    Had some unfortunate news that we were no longer able to rent the property we wished to. I was quite upset given we were currently living in a friends spare room with most of our stuff in storage or in our car.

    I just felt Sam dealt with my stresses ( and emotions) took all my details and actually genuinely cared; by the end of the day he had sorted everything out, however I felt the way he had dealt with the initial call was very professional and made me feel that they appreciated the situation I was in and that he would try everything he could to help.

    I live abroad in South Est Asia and need a reliable agent to rent a 3 bed house in Bristol.
    CJ Hole have provided a good service in finding suitable tenants, making inspections and collecting rent. Also their maintenance dept proved swift and efficient in dealing with issues, such as a shower replacement and washing machine breakdown.
    They correspond quickly via email. And I would highly recommend them if piece of mind is a major factor.

    We were very pleased with the service received from Tim and the team at the Henleaze branch when we recently purchased our property. It took us some time to find a property as we had some specific requirements, but CjHole were very patient with us during our search and not at all pushy, which was appreciated.

    The move itself went very smoothy, with Tim staying on top of the solicitors to assist us with a very quick moving date.

    We would happily recommend CjHole and would definetly buy/sell with them again.

    We had reached a stalemate in the sale of our house - our buyers had dropped out and nothing seemed to be happening with the agents we had originally chosen for our house sale. Anyway, my husband rang C J Hole and Sam came round to value the property. From the minute I met Sam, I was very impressed with her punctuality (very important to me) and her total professionalism. Our property was put on the market with them and within no time, they had found proceedable buyers and not time wasters.

    During the whole process of buying our new property and the sale of our house, Sam was such a comfort to us. Its such a stressful time moving house, but if we had any queries, it just one phone call to Sam and our question was answered, within the time that Sam promised. I have recommended Sam and her team to work colleagues and I really can't praise the work Sam does highly enough.

    Credit where credit is due and I would certainly wouldnt even consider going anywhere else in buying or selling property. Well Done Sam and her Team!

    FIrstly let me say I would have rated the service 5 star if it had not been for a couple of problems along the way. These problems were not (as far as I am aware) created by CJ Hole and they handled them well when they came up....these issues cost us some extra money so I have to drop a star for the transaction rather than the estate agents specifically.

    But let me say these guys went over and above the call of duty to get the sale sorted, the extensive delays created extra work that they were happy to take on and with Nick in person (all viewings) and Tim on the phone (mostly) I was able to get the sale agreed at a fair price in an awkward climate.

    I would highly recommend them and will indeed make them the first point of contact when we come to sell.

They were generally very good and as the property needed a lot of renovation they made sure that they gave us the access we needed for the property pre and post offer so that we could get people in to start getting quotes on the work.
