Since we opened our first office in Ash Vale in 1991, during the heart of the recession, Bridges have shown a flair for marketing and service rarely experienced by those 'on the move'. Colour presentation and the desire to be the first choice in every area we operate separates us from the majority of Estate Agents. Twenty one years later we have six local branches covering North Hampshire and West Surrey with directors still on the shop floor delivering our ethos to our customers.

Throughout my search Simon Pearson has been extremely helpful, enthusiastic and most professional. He has a true personable character and made me, the client, feel under no pressure whatsoever to decide on properties. In fact it was he that introduced me to properties in Aldershot - a town in which I was none to keen to buy. Simon was knowledgable and kept me informed of details that I requested. Charming. John and Jonathan were both pleasant to deal with and very helpful. By the time our purchase had been completed I felt I could talk to them both as friends rather than 'just estate agents'!

Bridges arranged the sale of my fathers property as shown above, who is in a care home, they made the
process of selling it very easy for me as they did all the viewings and they worked very hard on my behalf to
get a buyer, and when they did from when the offer was made to completion was less than two months.

Oh Bridges how you disappoint me. The staff are nice enough if not a little cliche in their typical salesman avoidance techniques. Then came the charges - £330 for a referral, £120 for a guarantors fee. How do you justify that? You can't. There are plenty of independent places that would do a referral for £15, but estate agents add their £315 cherry on top. They are making these amounts up and the only thing that makes them legal is that it's on paper.
Then comes the issue of the"check-in fee" - another word for a inventory fee. This was never mentioned to us when we... (read more)

I have used Bridges for a number of years for both sales and renting of property.
In my experience I have allways found Bridges to be professional, efficient and helpful in finding tenants for my various rental properties.

Stdp by Step is a charity in Aldershot that needed to sell a 7 bedroom HMO with planning permission for conversion into 4 flats and obtain the highest possible sale price in the interests of furthering the aims of the charity. The sales opportunity was competed to 4 local agents and Bridges won. They clearly locked on to the opportunity value in the property generated through the planning permission, recommended a sale by tender approach with a good guide price, had good marleting ideas and contacts and, offered the charity a very competitive deal. Simon Pearson was Brilliant! He booked me in for a viewing even though they were fully booked for the day, which was also a Saturday!
When I offerend Simon was there every step of the way and kept me informed through out the process.
Once the offer had been accepted Selina stepped in, again I was kept informed all the way, which was all very smoothe and easy and handle very professionally.
Simon also called regularly to make sure everything was alright.

Overall impressed with service provided, i found the agents were always available for questions or queries.
Had feedback from a couple of potential buyers suggesting it was better having (myself) the owner showing them round as they felt the agents tended to rush them through the viewings.

I have used Richard Pinnock at Bridges Farnborough to sell my property, he is the most honest estate agent I know!
Helpful, polite, and pro-active in making sure that the sale goes through! I would never dream of going anywhere else after the service I got from Richard, I highly recommend anyone selling or dealing with property to go straight to Richard

I sold and bought my house through this agent and I found them to be very professional at all times. My house had previously been on the market with another agent for 5 months and after only receiving 5 viewings in that time and being told the market was to blame, I was very apprehensive and contemplated things by removing it from the market for a few weeks. I wondered if I would ever sell, but thanks to Michaels perseverence, positivity and confidence that my property would sell, I agreed to them marketing my house. I cant fault their enthusiasm and professionalism, I was kept up to date with all progress & they also listened to my concerns. I only wanted serious potential buyers who were in the 'right position' showed around and thats what they stuck to. An all round great service :))
Thanks again to Michael & Simon (sales), and not forgetting Jo (after sales) for their excellent communication and helpfulness in moving the process along smoothly.

Bridges are fairly unusual, when I instructed them to sell my property they promised they would make every effort to find a buyer as soon as possible and also keep me informed every step of the way, AND THEY DID, after 3 weeks on the market I received a good offer and right up to completion they kept me informed at every stage, so VERY PLEASED, and must say I loved the funky looking board, which somehow looked even better when it read SOLD, Thanks to everybody at Bridges involved, GREAT SERVICE

James McFee of the Aldershot Branch has been very professional, helpful and personable in all his dealings with us. He even dropped paperwork through our door on his way home as he lives nearby.

Bridges were chosen over a number of other Agents in the area as they appeared to be the most professional in their field. James MacPhee of the Aldershot office visited the property for sale and gave an excellent overview of the current housing market conditions. We were supprised that his valuation of the property was higher than others, however he was correct as the property was sold within a week at the full asking price.
James gave excellent service and it was a pleasure to find sombody flexible enough to meet us when we requested, even if this was at 8pm in the evening. Bridges Aldershot Office also offered high standards of service at all times in a support role to James.Was this review helpful? Yes

In our search for a property to buy we dealt almost exclusively with Bill Byrne. He listened to our "wish list" and advised of properties which suited our criteria. On viewings, he was patient and did not rush us at all and again, listened to our comments which he took into consideration on subsequent recommended properties. Once we had found the house we wanted to buy, he maintained his professional, considerate and supportive manner during a very protracted and sometimes frustrating process. He kept us informed and was forever, willing to listen and do what was necessary to expedite the purchase. He is courteous, professional and I would wholeheartedly recommend his services. The other members of the Frimley team were also helpful and responsive when we sought advice or in formation. A very good experience.

We used Bridges to both sell our home and find a new property. We had a steady stream of quality prospective viewings and managed to sell within 5 weeks. They were always there to answer our calls, they could give us accurate information and were always proffesional when carrying out the viewings. In 2009 we wanted to buy a property and we registered with all available estate agents including Bridges where Richard Pinnock was the agent that delt with our search. Unlike the other agents that were sending us allsorts of irrelevant information, Richard was able to find us a property to suit our needs and budget without any stress and after viewing the property our offer had been made and accepted within 24 hrs.
We are now looking at possibly selling and buying and got in touch with Richard again and he has been polite , proffesional and efficient without pressurising us about selling our property but rather looking at finding a suitable home for us that meets our requirements.

We moved with bridges and the whole experience from start to finish was great, the guys at the Farnborough office work so hard, estate agents do have a bad name at times but these guys are honest hardworking and most of all approachable. It was like dealing with a friend who cared. I would always use them and would urge everyone else to use them to. If your moving make them your appointed agent, the rest in Farnborough are not to the same standard. The branch manager Frank is probably the most likable guy and will tell you what you need to do rather then what he thinks you want to hear, very refreshing.

Well they are certainly aggressive as salesman so probably exactly what you want as a seller.

We chose Bridges simply because neighbours had said they get a lot of people round for viewings. Bridges suggested an ‘Open House’ viewing which was arranged on a Saturday morning in early June after three weeks of advertising. This delay was to build up interest although they did show a few timewasters round prior to this date. We had sold properties with an ‘Open House’ before outside of the UK with the house being open for four hours or so. Simon Pearson combined charm and professionalism with excellent local knowledge and a tenacious focus on getting our property sold. My wife and I decided to sell our property few months ago and we contacted Richard Pinock from Bridges, in Farnborough. He was very professional, he came and talked to us, took the photographes of our property, offered himself to conduct any viewing if we are unavailable. I am sure that Bridges will sell our property for a reasonable price and in a reasonable time. I will recommend Bridges to anyone who intend to sell his property.

Selling my property was for a while a nightmare for various reasons. Simon Pearson then took on the responsibility of helping me to sell it and took virtually all of the stress away. My partner and I bought a property through Bridges in Frimley with Bill Byrne earlier this year before he moved to the Farnborough branch. We cannot fault the service Bill gave us. We spent 5 months looking for the right property and of all the agents we were registered with I can honestly say that Bill and Bridges were the ONLY ones that actually listened to our specifications in terms of location, budget, size and requirements. They never bombarded us with unesessary calls or emails like others did, but they always contacted us as soon as an appropriate property came on the market. Bill also made us feel like he genuinely cared about finding us what we wanted (no matter how long it took!) rather than just making a sale.
When the time comes for us to move on from this house we will definitely be using Bridges.

I had my property valued by another estate agent who said I would struggle to get the price I was asking in this climate. I approached James in Bridges, he came around to the house that afternoon, and had it on their books that evening. We achieved our asking price. I felt the company also looked after the buyers, and guided us both. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They know what they are doing and they do it very well.

From the start our experience with Simon at Bridges was refreshing. It felt like he was really trying to find the best house for us rather than any house to get a sale. He was patient and very honest with us and it seemed like he was on our side to get the best, i.e. lowest price for us. Estate agents generally have a poor reputation and I was always a little dubious when I consulted each agent during my house search. Estate agents are not all the same, especially not Bridges. I had been on the market with two other agents in Aldershot for more than 9 months, Bridges kept writing and knocking on my door (James especially), eventually I caved in, and boy am I glad I did.
James was brilliant from start to finish, it was almost like a personal mission to him to get the house sold and when he did it was for the same price as I left the other agents at! I'm always telling my friends that if they want to sell use James, I cant reccommend him or the company any higher. Simply the best!

Tina is a credit to the company. Her customer service is exceptional. She is very easy to talk to and always explained everything to us cleary and always kept us updated with any progress with the house.We are first time buyers and it was a big help to be explained things in a understanding way as buying your first house can be very daunting and stressful and sometimes quite comfusing. After some initial teething problems regarding lack of regular updates & communication, I have found Bridges Aldershot to be a great choice of agent to sell my house through. I must commend Tina in particular, who has worked extremely hard under difficult circumstances to see the sale through to exchange and eventual completion at the end of this month - she absolutely has your best interests at heart, deals with your frustrations and concerns in a very professional manner and is a credit to the branch. If we could just clone her and put one of her in every office in the land, the world would tick in a far more timely manner!!

James Baldry and his team were excellent from pricing the house corectly in line with my own view right through to the sale of the house. Other estate agents had the attitude of couldn't be bothered and no enthusiasm, to over pricing and over the top estimations. James was positive, realistic and motivated. If he felt this about my house this is how he would come across to buyer. James 's team were smart and efficient which led to a smooth transaction . I was kept updated by the team and by James. Would I use them again yes ,would I recommend them Yes.

I attended 2 viewings and on both occasions the agents were late. Although one was quite up to speed on the details of the house the other agent had no idea what he was doing. He simply let us in the house and stood there in silence. He could not answer any questions and spoke in a very informal manner using terms such as 'mate' (despite this being our first meet).
The both of them seemed very pushy on viewings, trying to get us to look at properties we made clear did not fit any of our requirements. I understand they are on commission but it puts me off dealing with people that don't listen to anything you have told them!

I asked for a member of the Aldershot branch to come to value my house, I used the Ash Vale branch when I sold my previous house and the staff there were fantastic. As nice as the guy from Bridges in Aldershot was, he was quite pushy and got me to sign a contract despite me telling him that I had other agents to value the house as I would never go with the first one who made a valuation. Typical estate agent talk, didn't properly go through the contract, didn't explain it was 20 weeks on sole selling rights, only arranged 3 viewings, never contacted us to give progress reports. They turned up late for the few viewings they arranged, very unprofessional, I showed people round in the end. We took off market before end of contract.

We sold and bought through Bridges. I cannot rate them highly enough. The house we bought we viewed on their recommendation before it even went on the website and our property was well marketed and sold quickly.
The sale progression was handled extremely well and Bridges kept in contact with us and the solicitors. On the day we exchanged there was a problem with our buyers mortgage company. I called Bridges to find they were already on it speaking to the lenders and it was entirely due to them that we exchanged and are moving before Christmas.
Fantastic agents, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

I've used Bridges before to sell my house and decided to use them again as they were good last time. I can't believe some of the negative comments I've heard about them. Dominic put my house on the market and it was sold within 2 1/2 weeks. They were extremely professional, straight talking and extremely proactive. Since the sale I was passed to Jo who progresses your sale and she has been outstanding, the best customer service I've experienced. She is very organised and always gets back to you. If I didn't have her help I would have gone mad trying to do everything in time. I would recommend Bridges to everyone. Thank you to a great team!!!

Terrible manager in the Frimley branch he was rude, gave false information and had no sales training at all let alone knowledge of the market, we then went with Christopher J Sargeant and sold very quickly. Do not sell you house with these people - they wouldn't be able to sell it anyway!

The staff are nice enough if not a little cliche in their typical salesman avoidance techniques. Then came the charges - £330 for a referral, £120 for a guarantors fee. How do you justify that? You can't. There are plenty of independent places that would do a referral for £15, but estate agents add their £315 cherry on top. They are making these amounts up and the only thing that makes them legal is that it's on paper.
Then comes the issue of the"check-in fee" - another word for a inventory fee. This was never mentioned to us when we were looking at the flat despite directly asking "are there any other charges". Typical sales-people. So all in all, it cost us £600 in fees alone, which is simply ridiculous. How can anyone justify that? Bear in mind that this is also a minimum, you will be charged a minimum of 12 days rent for a referral fee or £330, whichever is more, so on a £1500/month property that would be £600. So if you're happy to pay for an estate agent's BMW then by all means choose them.
It is clear that Bridges are quite clever with bumping bad reviews off this board as well. There were 13 reviews between 12/2008 and 05/2011 (2.5 years) of which 6 were bad, then magically in 1 year 62 new good/excellent reviews appear, bumping the six bad ones off to the last page. This has also been done on google maps where a gentleman called Tony has given three similar excellent reviews to all the offices, yet never anything else. Bridges - feel free to try and bump this one off, but I'll be watching this space.
