As ex tenants we would recommend steering well clear of Brian Thomas estate Agent.
They breeched the contract (lease) by entering our property without notice and left items behind/lights on/ things moved. When asked if they had been in our house the office did not know so we had to change the lock. They refused to acknowledge any wrong doing or repay us so we took the money from the rent.
When we moved out the deposit Protection Scheme could not help us as Chris Lane (Owner) refused to release ANY of the deposit until we forego the money we spent on the lock, so the entire deposit was in limbo until we "agreed" to their terms!
We lost money because of their poor management & then he unreasonable and vile once challenged. Completely untrustworthy.Was this review helpful? Yes

Before rent a house or buy, they are very friendly that is true. But when you decide to move off and when time come to pay the deposit back, they change. they are making lots of problem for dont pay the deposit back. my tenancy finished end of march and i have trouble for the deposit now. So they are double faced and untrustworthy, i never recommend this agent.

I don't think you can believe a word they say. Found them to be untrustworthy and would say they are best avoided.

I could not get my deposit back after more than 1 year even DPS couldn't, so I do not recommend this agent.

Good response and better than the previous lot who managed the property.
Did give a list of gripes to Brian Thomas and was given a list numbers for handymen and engineers to call myself which I thought kind of defeated the purpose of having a managing agent.
Aside from that, friendly staff and a genuine interest in how things are.

Excellent quality advice. very professional in the old style not like the crown who know nothing and drive around in flash cars

Tried to bully me into buying a flat with structural damage. The lease said the lessee (me) was responsible for it, which they told me was the freeholder. I would have been left high and dry had I listened to them.
