Proactive and efficient, with good communications and updates on progress and activities. Definite sense of pace to reach a satisfactory conclusion. A technical email problem resulted in some confusion over when tenant was to be shown round property, and contractual financial arrangements, but both resolved quickly. A generally smooth and hassle free letting experience.

I have been using Bourne Letting Agents in Guildford for the past 3 years.
I have been working mostly with Clive and Jenny and both have done a great job.
I would highly recommend using Bournes if you are wanting to put your property on the market and likewise if you are a tenant I would recommend using them.
My properties have all be rented in a week or two of being on the market and achieved good rents, plus the tenants they found have been outstanding.

We originally started searching for a house to buy via Bourne Farnham, but had to change our plans
Having seen a property that was being advertised by Bourne, Alton, I contacted the branch, a viewing was arranged for the same day. We made an offer and everything was processed within a week. Every request that I made was fulfilled. All the staff have been very friendly, polite and easy to deal with. We would highly recommend Bourne, Alton.

Andrew and Gemma were extremely helpful in the way in which our letting was handled, keeping us in the loop at all stages.
We were originally disappointed as we hadn't been successful in our offer but Andrew promised to keep in touch should anything change - and a week later we received a call back to say that the property was back on offer again.
Since then the service we have received has been very smooth with Andrew responding very quickly to any e-mails or telephone messages. I would recommend Bourne Estate Agents in a heartbeat.

Bournes had just taken over this property when we went to view it. the brochure was not that detailed but Andrew was extremely helpful while we were there and in our subsequent negotiations. The vendor was not always co-operative with regards to getting all the documentation the solicitors & mortgage providors needed, & Andrew worked hard to ensure that the chain held together & the sale finally went through. Thanks

The service I received from Andrew and the team at Alton has been exceptional. I had been marketing my property with another agent in Alton for around two months where it had sat empty, I received a call from Andrew offering help and at first was reluctant as I didn't think they could do anything different to the agent already on the case. Within two days of instructing them I received a call from Josh with an offer from a couple moving to the area with work, I was amazed at the speed in which Bourne delivered and the quality of tenant that they found. I would like to wish you guys the best of luck for the future not that I think you'll need it if you carry on like this. Well done and a BIG thank you from a very satisfied landlord.

I have recently noticed a review for Bourne estate agents which stated that they are “pushy” so I felt obliged to also send a review on my recent experience with this company.
After several months of trying to sell with 2 different estate agents in Farnham, Bourne did approach me directly and at first I did feel they were a little pushy, but we mutually agreed to keep in touch and I eventually decided to instruct them to sell my home. After three weeks and 10 viewings Bourne found me suitable buyer and the sale went through last week.
In my opinion Bourne are proactive and refreshing and if it means being a little pushy sometimes then good on them, because it got the job done! I would rather use them than most of the ‘sleepy’ estate agents in Farnham.

They kept pestering my elderly mother even though she made it quite clear she did not want to use them. DO not let them in your house they are very pushy and sum up everything bad about esate agents

I used Bourne agents in Farnham for the purchase of my house. After visiting many estate agents and receiving various levels of service (some not seeming keen to provide much assistance in my search) i visited Bourne and registered my details. I spent some time with Gemma and went through the properties available, at all times she listened to my requirements and carefully selected suitable properties. Previous agents just pulled out anything within or around my price range and dumped them in front of me not matter if they where unsuitable and suggested what i was looking for was unreasonable.... We found a home to rent in Surrey through Bourne's, but the landlord pulled out 2 days before because work commitments were going to force her to move back in the property. Bourne's were very apologetic, even though it was outside of their control, and were able to show us suitable equivalent homes the following day (one day before our original move date).
Thanks to Bourne's, we were able to view an even better property & submit an offer (Thurs, pay the remaining deposit with first month's rent, sign contracts and move in within 24 hours (Fri - the following day!).
A fantastic effort by Josh Holt and Jon Pepper from Bourne's saved the day, and meant that we did not have to repeat the credit / background checks with another agency. I have dealt with a number of agencies in the past and Bourne's is top of my list.
A big thank you from both us!

Jon Pepper could not have been more helpful. He was able to answer questions that other agents had not a clue about, and was willing to spend a great deal of time with me and with prospective tenants. Bournes achieved a very good rental price, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Moving at anytime of your life can be exciting but also stressful especially in the current climate. I haven't moved home in 12 years and couped with the fact of moving to a new area only heighten's one's sensitivity.
At Bourne estate agents, Mr Josh Holt has been just superb from the start of my house search offering unbiased advice, to securing the agreed sale price on the house I finally settled upon. Throughout this period Josh has made himself available for addtional viewing's to the property, timely response to my emails and attending to all my calls.
Josh has ensured all the elements of the sale process were managed efficiently and effectively with professionalism - A job well done Josh and thank you for all your support and patience.

To be honest I have never written a review online before - but I feel obliged to due to the level of service I have received from the team at ‘Bourne’. I am a first time buyer and have just exchanged contracts for completion in the New Year. I have been dealing with Josh at and have to say he has been exceptional throughout the whole process. He has given me advice, guidance and support to all aspects of buying my first property. Communication has been excellent throughout with regular updates in relation to my purchase. I couldn’t fault the service I have received from 'Bourne' and would have no qualms in recommending them to anyone.

From the get-go, these agents were far and above more professional and - dare I say it about estate agents - honest! Absolutely refreshing. Should I ever be in need of an agent again in this area, they would be my first port of call. I would very much like to thank them for their extremely speedy help. Luck? Well, we've all got to have a bit of that occasionally, but they helped me a great deal in an especially short time-frame.

Jon Pepper (lettings) was very helpful. We had no difficulty in being able to make contact with him, he was prompt in responding to our needs and kept us informed of any developments all the time.

Very good service to secure a sale in tricky market conditions and an inexperienced buyer. They always responded or called back straightaway. I was particularly impressed with Millie Yeomans their 'deal closer' and Adrian Cannon similarly.

It isn't usual for me to leave a review but I feel compelled to do so. I had my property on the market with two agents for over 6 weeks with hardly any viewings and any we did get we received no feedback. I was constantly doing the chasing. Bourne in Farnham were asked to market the house and had 3 viewings and two offers within 5 days! The communication from their Lettings Manager Jon Pepper was fantastic and also refreshing. I think the other agents in Farnham could learn a lot from Bourne. Thank you to everyone.

Absolutely fantastic service, all the staff were very helpful. Continuous updates on the sale progress. I had numerous viewings and all the feedback was given within 24 hours. Within 3 weeks of being on the market I had 3 offers on the table and when asked for advice was given full information on the buyers, their positions, financial situation and time scales.
Would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling through Bourne Estate Agents.

We were 100% happy with the service we received in selling our property. Numerous viewings were arranged at times to suit us (which is tricky with a baby and toddler to work around!) and we received 2 good offers. Adam at Guildford kept in constant contact with us throughout the process. We would definitely recommend Bourne over other agents we have had experience with in the past.

As an ex lettings agent I tried to look at some properties with Bourne. I told them we had a viewing agreed on one of their properties with another agent and they tried to get us to undercut them and cancel it. We declined but asked if they had anything else we would gladly view. We then decided on the other, and tied up the agreement a week ago, to move in less that forty eight hours. They carried on marketing the property and persuaded the landlord to let to someone else. So with less than two days left us three girls are left with no where to live. Hardly the morals of a company that you want to pay rent to monthly, and trust to look after you with a problem. Unscrupulous and immoral... I wouldn't bother or you will have nothing but problems!!!

Failed to tell me that they were going to deduct the entire fee from first two months rent. Lack of communication followed by no constructive discussion or movement on this point. No other issues with the service though.

Everyone was extremely helpful in particularly difficult and stressful circumstances. Stuart was most helpful throughout as were the whole sales team. Would definately use their services again and wouldn't hesitate to recommened then to others.

Very disappointed with this agents attitude towards a prospective purchase. Given really bad information about a property which we have subsequently and very successfully purchased through another agent. Information about the property was not forthcoming from Bourne's other than very misleading comments - some of these turned out to be blatant lies!!! A very disappointing experience - all I can say is thank goodness for the help and support we received from Castles.

Due to the time of year the selection wasn't great, however, a few days later i received a call from an excited Gemma who suggested i checked my emails for a property that just came back onto the market. I quickly booked a viewing and made an offer on the property that day. For the whole process Gemma has been helping keep the ball rolling - as a first time buyer i wasn't sure of the process so the support i received was invaluable. I would highly recommend Bourne in Farnham and will certainly use them again.
