    Utterly appalling from the start. No hot water for 10 days, the keys barely opened the doors even with their 'trained' staff, took 3 weeks of chasing to get a door both me and my partner could open. The balcony was coming off the walls and this took 6 weeks to fix. All requests to repair needed several calls to chase. Completely rude, they missed appointments and called stating the rent hadn't been paid when it had, no apologies were ever given. The dvd inventory costed £40 but took 5 months of chasing to get, completely meaningless! When I finally thought I was done with them at the final inspection I was told it was 'beautifully cleaned' and I should expect the full deposit that day/early the next day. I call to confirm 4 days later as I had no money or communication to be told to expect it directly in my account within hours. A week later I am told there are £300 plus of damages that the landlord spotted which includes basic wear and tear and replacing a light bulb! I would thoroughly not recommend them to anyone. Other agents speak of their incompetence and high fees.

    As a first time landlord and having some reservations about letting out my former family home I can say I have been delighted with Belvoir Lettings and their service. Right from the tenant selected, the clarity of documentation supplied and promptness of rental income received, I can only compliment to date my dealings with Belvoir. I have always advocated the true test of a service is when something goes wrong but to date thankfully I have not had any issues to test this theory. I would gladly recommend the services of Belvoir in Leicester noting my customer journey to date has been only positive.

    Been a tenant with Belvoir for over three years and have to continually chase up repairs. They never get back to you with updates and a broken water pipe took fours days to put right - so with two children I was without water for that time and all they could do is pass blame. not a proactive company unless it's the initial let, from that point onwards you're ignored and treated with contempt. I have on circa 7 times left the messages to forward to my landlord and only once has he received it. Poor, poor, poor. Oh they've just upgraded there offices which reflect a 'tabloid' colour scheme - bland white walls and tacky red lighting. Yuk.

    As a landlord they were appauling, service was awful. Promised good tenants, should hope so for £500 quid arrangement fee! I thought in the long term it would pay off, but it did not. They ruined the house. I worked hard to create a very nice living environment for people, only to have to do it all again.
    I would at least expect a full apology from Belvoir for supplying awful tenants.

    Sickened by the useless disorganised people that work in that office.
    (one of the young ladies working there was very helpful though)

    More than anything they are so so so so so so DISORGANISED. From the other reviews I would not want to be a tenant either. Wish I had checked out this website first!

    Excellent friendly estate agents. Good selection of properties to choose from to tailor all budgets. Staff are very approachable and very down to earth. Very helpful. I moved to Liverpool from the Midlands and only had one day to find a place to move. I explained this to the team and they really helped to make the process as easy as possible. I have never felt people to go out of their way to help, but these guys do. Most places told me they couldn't do viewings in the short amount of time I had. Some even didn't do viewings on Saturdays... Belvoir, however, were great! Can't recommend them more highly!

    I had never seen such an unprofessional behavior before using Belvoir lettting. . I have no words to describe horrendous behavior to any problem we faced in the property. And while vacating the house, they didn't settle the deposit and its been a month and now they want to deduct huge amount for no reason. they had inspected the property at the time we moved out and had emailed that the full amount will be refunded but we are still struggling to get the money back.

    So DON"T USE HIS SERVICES UNLESS U WANT TO FIGHT OVER YOUR OWN DEPOSIT. SEEK no co-operation from them for what so ever.

    Its been a month since we vacated the property but he has not yet refunded the money.

    Disgusting bunch of cowoys. Spent over 6 months will no heatiwng and 2 monbths with no hot water not too mention damp and mould created due to no hearing and then walks and curtain poers all falling away with the walk due to damp. Never even rectified, had to move oy over christmas and winter to temporary accomodation and at our ezpense with our 2 children. Then after taking further action they issued us with 2 weeks notice and then relet property out with us still in it. STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!!!!!!

    OMG where do i start!! FIRSTLY the manner in which they treat tenants is DISGUSTING! Hound isn't the word to describe there methods of receiving payment, but when your lighting, heating and carpets are damp your made out to real like your LYING!!! They also tried to take money from my account after id been paying in cash for the last six months! This company needs shutting down with immediate effect, its a disgrace and shouldn't be allowed to treat tenants this way

    Nothing but problems with Harpreet and his team at Belvoir Corby.
    They inflated costs of works which were not agreed, they continued to claim money for work done after the contract was terminated. They gave wrong advice that left the owners liable to potential criminal prosecution.
    They continued to collect rent after termination of the contract and have not passed it on.
    Harpreet agreed figures and then went back on them 3 days later. They do not return phone calls and do not respond to letters.
    and this from a man who claims to be an ex barclays V.P!

    Avoid this company like the plague. I have never come across a more unproffesional, rude, incompetant bunch in my life. Will cause you complete stress and hassle and arent members of ARLA so no protection when they mess up your tenancy!
    Completely terrible agents.
    Never return calls.
    Pay rent to me late every month
    I had to call them to say the rent hadnt been paid (tenant hadnt paid 2mths rent and they didnt even notice!)
    High turnover of staff
    Staff have no clue how lettings work, obviously not trained
    Staff are rude and unproffesional on the phone, very negative/fobb you off as much as they can, say the person you are calling for is out of the office (when you can hear them in the background!).

    DO NOT USE THESE RUN A MILE FROM THEM. day we moved in to property we had no heating and hot water, on contacting belvoir letting howard and landlord turned up with a diy book and toldus to fix it ourselfs, after two month of constant letters emails and phone calls we final had a new heating system installed, but the heating system was second hand and does not work properly, so we have three small children living in a property with no hot water and heating, about three month of being in the property the lighting upstairs court fire and also the sockets downstairs, had an electrian do a... (read more)

    Would definitely NOT recommend Belvoir to anyone...ever! I was a tenant with them for just over a year and completely agree with all the bad reviews on here. Very very rude staff, always unhelpful and speak down to you. Constant inspections from, again, rude employees. Constant condesending letters and accusations, hidden charges.     Endanger lives, have no concern whatsoever for safety, we had to get Environmental Health involved before they did anything, rude staff, no response to messages, no customer service, they are ripping off both the landlord and tenants. I will write another review when i have time, as the list is MASSIVE.
    All I can say is, I wish we had read this before handing over the deposit to the incompetent cretins at BELVOIR, the head office do not care either, i have to write a complaint to the franchise owner before they do anything, i copied them in all the emails so they were aware of the blatant ignoring of safety issues, but again they are just as bad as the franchise, they dont care.
    I have just sent a story to BBC watchdog, please any of the people who have written a review on here PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, contact BBC watchdog too, as they need to be stopped and stripped of their ARLA status.

    I cannot fault this agency. I cannot comment on Belvoir lettings as a whole as I have not used them before, but I can say that the central Birmingham office is excellent. Major responded incredibly quickly to my request for a property viewing, couldn't have been more helpful, patient or thorough and did not hesitate to put himself out so that I could have a second viewing at the same property only very shortly after the first.     This agent does not walk his talk. When I returned after two years I came back to a dirty house with door, window and cupboard handles falling off, black bin liners dumped round the side of the house, a blocked drain, black mould growing up my sitting room walls and furniture, a broken bathroom light, missing items, a stained fire surround (less than a yr old when the tenants moved in), a badly installed Sky satellite-dish with its cable flung over the roof of the house and a gaping hole through the external wall, and a general state of unhappiness to say the least! Even though he promised to check the tenants in and out of the house and take meter readings etc., I met them walking down the path on the day I moved back in! – it was very awkward as they took the opportunity to have a go at me for making them move out! I was given £30 for these inconveniences - I would have much rather not have had to deal with all of this. Generally I found that if there were any compromises to be had he looked to me to make them.

    RIP OFF LETTING AGENTS AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
    We let 2 properties over 2 years with them as landlord. we were invoiced over £900 repairs to one boiler. later found out nothing was actually replaced, boiler in worse condition than it was because works were carried out by untrained workmen. Had to stil pay £900 and more. A nightmare to deal with very unprofessonal conduct throughout. Will try to invoice you unnecessary work at twice the price that was not authorized by the landlord. If you complain they try to make out its your fault. If you want to leave them they have a whopping termination fee hidden in the contract. We have to pay £825 to leave them because we are unhappy with their service.

    Found the service from these people very disappointing. Seemed incapable of doing anything without clear direction and approached the task of finding suitable tenants with little sense of urgency (and scant regard for the type of tenant I was looking for). Communication was poor and listening skills were worse; would struggle to find a good word to say about them, I'm afraid.

    We have just finished our 20 month tennancy through Belvoir having now bought a house. Our overall experice was excellent, Lee and Jenna were friendly and extremely helpful from day 1. Any issues that arose with the house with regards to maintenance were dealt with very quickly and with the minumum of fuss. Inspections were always very fairly dealth with and took place at intervals sufficeintly apart that they didnt feel intrusive. There was no kind of ridiculous check in / check out or other extortionate fees that other leeting agents such as the previous letting agency I was renting through (JSM) and in comparison with JSM I had the genuine feeling that the agents were representing both the interests of tennants and landlords rather than just the latter. This would extend to receiving deposit back (which was repaid in full) within a week of us moving out. All in all an excellent service from Belvoir.

    I do not know how Belvoir is faring in general, but the Birmingham Central branch which I have dealt with is absolutely perfect.
    The only agents that were willing to be flexible and accommodate my need to see properties on the spot. Major Mahil, who took me for the viewings, was a perfect professional, punctual and willing.
    After choosing a property, Sinead Kaid took over and she was fantastic, things went on fast in a professional manner and as she was the first person I met in the office and didn't brush me aside when I asked to see properties the same day (as everybody else did in other offices), I am really thankful to her.
    I am really happy that I found this office after a very dissapointing day looking at Birmingham lettings agents.
    Again thanks a lot and I hope we deal in the future.

    What can I say except for RUN! Unless of course you're idea of a good time is speaking to incompetent, rude & obnoxious middle aged women with a pole up their........     DISHONEST, TERRIBLE, PUT YOU LIFE AT RISK FOR YEARS. STAY AWAY FROM THEM

    always been a great tenant, all rent, on time, looked after place, etc

    they fail to account for any money or payments offically, when you complain they do not respond, only to abuse you, they use cheap trademen friends of the landlord, to do botched jobs, unsafe electrics, unsanitory uninhabitable living condition, ceiling and roof caving in, along with their expensive properties, they also have propertis 'on the side' where they deal with those rogue landlord and let tghem to teants. Belvoir lettings melton mowbray are they themselves rogue agents to tenants renting out there'back properties.'
    They LIE, LIE, LIE.

    Do not use this agent. As a landlord i have received the most unprofessional and appalling service.

    They keep your money, and are extremely unfair.

    The staff have limited knowledge, and they have to be contantsly nagged and chased for any response.

    They are not members of the property ombudsman or arla, so there is no safety net.

    I would not recommend them for lettings or sales

    I would recommend Belvoir Lettings Ayrshire . I have had agents in the past but I must say that Peter has been more that helpful. He finds the right tenant and has given me peace of mind. It is not a case of find a tenant and hope for the best, as has happened to me in the past.

    Completely not customer focused. They do not care about the customers. Communicate in an unprofessional manner, when made mistakes did not even say sorry. I would say the senior manager should train the staff how to behave, because for me they seem lost in what they are doing, and dont see the customer as the focus of their business. Would not be surprised if they go bankrupt, with this type of staff the future is quite sad.

    I have used Belvoir in Stratford upon Avon to let two or three properties in the Stratford upon Avon area, and have always found them excellent to deal with. They have a good tenant selection process, and handle the whole process to get the tenant in quickly and efficiently.

    We also use them to manage the properties for us and they have a good range of tradesmen to call on the resolve any issue - large or small.

    Would recommend them to everyone

    Since 2008 I have been a client with Belvoir Lettings Boston, in that time they have looked after my property and I have had over 3 trouble free years with this company. I have full management with them as I am in the British Armed Forces and often deploy overseas for many months at a time. While I am away I know the Boston team will deal with everything swiftly and professionally. They have gone above and beyond what I had expected of them in many respects and they are always polite and friendly with me and my tenants. I'm very happy with Belvoir and enjoy a very pleasant working relationship with them. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of letting a property.

    Agent has carried out regular checks of property, dealt with any issues brought to his attention by either myself or tenant speedily. Very helpful when sorting out maintenance issues with a number of tradesmen available on a quick response. Office staff also very helpful and efficient. Have used a couple of other agents previously none have come up to Belvoirs standards. Glen runs a tight ship and I trust him implicitly.Feel money costs to manage the tenancy is fair as they are providing a good service.
