Earlsfields branch.
I was absolutely disgusted how Mr Costello and the manager himself act with me when I rented the flat throught them, they didnt' give me all the correct information about price and charge for the letting and after a month time I'm still waiting the contract and I had to contact the head office and the ARLA to deal with.
the worst people with whom I had to do in my whole life, terrible, never reccomend to use the office in Earlsfield or to have to deal with the all agency, any branch, they made me call every morning, never call me back and all the time speak with different person and expain hundred times my problem, HORRIBLE.

During the viewing of the flat, I noticed that there was a watermark on the ceiling and the sales agent (Holborn branch) there promised that it would be fixed when I moved in. However, nothing had been done after moving in and the water linkage was getting so serious that I had to put a bucket underneath all the time. It totally disturbed my daily life. It took them 6 months to fix it for me - covering the watermark by paint!
After a few months, the water linkage reoccurred and the heating was not working. I reported the problems to the managment team but they would never reply you unless you called them. When I said that I would like to terminater the contract earlier as the landlord could not fix those problems and I would consider taking legal action. They said that I had signed the contract and could not terminate early. Though my lawyer told me that under this exceptional circumstance, I should be able to do it.
Anyways, I have moved out now. Would suggest anyone to go to their local council for getting the 'hazard report' for the flat if it is suffered from no heating, water linkage, etc.

I used the Surbiton Branch and they were wonderful.
Lee Brient is the manager and from the moment he came out to our flat to the moment we moved into our new home he and his team were first class.

Staff are rude, unable to listen and only have sales targets in their minds. I would strongly recommend that you never use this branch of Barnard Marcus.

We are using the branch in Barnes (Sales team) and they are not helpful at all. We arranged a second viewing for a particular house we are interested in buying and asked for access to the loft because there were some wet patches on the ceiling. An agent came and first thing she said was that we had 10 minutes to view the house! I spend more time buying a pair of shoes...moreover, she said that there was no ladder to access the loft and the owner was not available. She *kindly* suggested to arrange another viewing and blamed her team for the mess...Unfortunately, there are not many houses in the area for sale so will have to keep using the agency :(
