    The whole team was absolutely brilliant. Neil was our main contact and went above and beyond his job. he sold our property within 3 weeks (over Christmas). As the sale progressed and issues arose Neil was a fantastic negotiator being clear and concise, getting us the results we wanted. Even contacting us and updating us when he was on holiday or out of the office. The team knew everything that was happening with our property and were really helpful and would also chase if needed. Detailed Notes on the system are kept up to date so the whole team knows what's happening. In addition, Neil (and the team) constantly chased all parties involved, and eventually everyone in the chain. Our solicitor commented how brilliant he was and knew everything that was happening. A real support during a very difficult time. Always smiling and giving us excellent advice throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend bairstow eves, just fantastic service. You can't go wrong with them!

    Absolutely terrible experience! Usually I am not a person to complain, but this agency has left me so frustrated that I had to post a review! I placed an advert with Bairstow Eve's hoping to rent out a room in my house. As it was out of season for students, we were hoping that they could get the room rented to a professional. I told them the details and they promised they would put the advert up. A few weeks later, I phoned up again as nothing had happened. I had no phone calls, no emails, absolutely no communication.     I have been registered with this agent for quite some time and have seen properties with them previously. Today when I phoned up to view another property I was subjected to what amounted to an interrogation about my financial situation. This was discussed in general terms when I first registered and I do not discuss my private financial situation with an anonymous person over the phone. I was told that they do not arrange viewings unless I 'quality' financially. Don't waste your time with these guys, they're not worth it.

    These are the worst estate agents i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Aside from the massive fees they charge they do not reply to calls, have terrible communication and treat you with utter contempt. I kept having to chase to find out if everything was going through, could not get a day or time for handover - they told me to just pop in and sign everything. Finally on the day we were due to get the keys i had heard nothing so we went to the branch to pop in and sign the forms and were sent away for over 4 hours as nothing was ready.     This is the worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. When we viewed the property and in the advertsiement it was stated that the property could be unfurnished and that the land lord was flexible. The land lord had specified to the agent that the property must be furnished. This has caused several problems since we have moved into the property. The agent did not listen to us regarding the date we wanted the contract to start and our payment date, this has caused us problems with the contract and needing to pay extra days. The agent advertised the boiler room in the flat as a storage room, to the other tennants and the land lords surprise when they found we were storing things in there. I would advise people to avoid this agency as they lied about so many things to both us as tenants and to the land lord.

    I put my property on the market with them in August last year, then had around 15 viewers booked between August and first week in November. 3 of the viewers turned up at my property and said "oh I was expecting a house, the agent told me it was a house" another 6 could not find it, in 5 instances Laura from Barstow Eve's called me and said "can I give you the persons number so you can direct them" the other one turned up 40mins late and as it was out of office hours could not contact the office for directions.the other 5 found the property but was not for them.     This property was in such a bad state me an my husband to cancel our tenancy at greenslade road right away,
    Due to several flaws with the flat, heating lack ( 1 radiator in the whole flat), single glazed flat so it was freezing when we complained on the first night we where told to us an electric heater provided that was hidden in the wardrobe in the bed room, bathroom / toilet facilities so dirty no shower provided, kitchen units filled with damp and mold in every cup board, damp in the sealing and also the strong overpowering smell of Cannabis smoke and cigarette . all of this flaws had... (read more)

    JAmie and Kerry where great, they sold my property in two weeks and where always available to me when I need to talk. KErry worked really hard on the latter part of the sale to make sure all parties knew what the state of play was. Woruld recomend bridgfords to anyone! not so sure about cuntrywide!

    Bairstowe eves = Barefaced theives! we have been trying to get back £200 which they had owed us since Feb 26th! Gemma Never returns our calls and we found out that our house was on the market a whole month before it should of been so breached our contract Gemma said she couldnt understand it as she is the one who "press's the button" well Gemma Bond Branch Manager you must of pressed the button so it went on rightmove and Zoopla before the contracted time ! it was terrible, on rightmove with just a wonky picture with wheely bins out the front no interior pictures which to me... (read more)

    Throughout our tenancy our agent was useless. They would rarely respond to any emails and when we called to ask to speak to our agent we were told she would call us back, which again rarely happened. When moving out of the property we received very little information about the procedure and would only be told something when we contacted them.     Long story short, me and my family signed the contract for 28th Feb 2013 and all the money for the rent, deposit ect was paid before hand and only thing left was for us to get the key and move in. I went to the office located at Stratford and was hoping to get the key but to my surprise the agent said that he cannot give the key to me because the references from the our employers hadn't come back.     My parents utilised the services of the shirley branch of bairstow eves to help them sell there house. Initally the manager was helpful and on the day the house was put on the market he had found a buyer. However this was where the trouble started. Jay harassed my parents, praying on there vunerablities (playing mind games and using bullying tactics), stating all the flaws in the house as a reason why noone (but this potiential buyer) would buy the house.     Having had a property fall through that we had made an offer on (with a different estate agents) we needed a new property and a quick sale as we had to move in with family. Once i found the flat with Bairstow Eves, from day 1 they were fantastic. We were in contact constantly, they were extremely helpful and always had time for my enquiries.
    The sale went through really quickly and smoothly and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
    All the staff there were very cheerful and helpful but a special thanks to Grace and Louisa.

    Bairstow Eves found me a good tenant, and up to that point it was great to deal with them. They even gave me a discounted letting rate. But after more than a month, I have protected the deposit - but they haven't put it in my account, despite my chasing. The lettings manager hasn't given me any reason as to why their accounts department simply can't bear to part with money which isn't theirs, and finally told me he was concerned that I wanted the deposit so "urgently" - (so you see - over a month is urgent!) - since the money wasn't mine to spend! There can be no valid reason why they are holding onto the deposit - but nevertheless the lettings manager is supposed to have got back to me with some kind of reason, and hasn't. Seems the reason is that they just want the interest! And they're showing no sign of putting that deposit in my account. Imagine if you were using them for management, and they didn't pass on the rent for over a month, and in the meantime you had a mortgage to pay......

    Bairstow Eves (Redditch) are without doubt total charlatans. I ask that your read all the negative reviews on this franchised company and take on board what is being said. If you feel you might use this agent then it’s best to knock on a few doors of existing clients and ask them for their thoughts on their attitude and performance.

    originally they failed to notify their solicitor of the sale which caused delays.
    I was given conflicting information depnding on who I spoke to on the phone.
    On the day I moved out of my property I received a letter from them informing me that the purchase was no longer proceeding, I contacted my solicitor she was told that this letter had been sent out by mistake to me and the vendor, apparently she had phoned them that morning in tears. I cocede that everybody makes mistakes but when their mistake was highlighted by the vendor why didn't they phone me to inform me of their error? Finally when I was informed that the sale was complete I was told that they couldn't find the keys to the property, it took them several hours to locate them. I would urge anyone to think seriously before using this agent.

    We were supposed to see a property and contacted them again 10 min before the viewing. Despite that we waited outside for about half an hour in a freezing cold and nobody showed up. Called them again just to be told that our viewing was cancelled. They didn't even bother to let us know about that! I'm not sure we will ever try to let a property from them again after this terrible handling of things. We'll try to inform our friends as well not to trust this agency. Thanks a lot for nothing.

    Switched to another agency after 6+months of no movement.
    No offers made due to a lack of sales tactics, and lack of market knowledge.
    Opinions on Bairstow Great Barr seemed to be that houses don't sell unless prices dropped, not that effort needs to go into it. ie: knowing their customers demand and target market. Only 1 buy to let sent round when our house is ideal for this.
    Was assigned 2 different associates in an unorganised fashion, which confused people viewing the house, times for viewing and ended up with a large amount of cancellations. Due to this also, time invested by us... (read more)

    The staff at the Leyton branch of Bairstow Eves are totally incompetent, so much so it amazes me they even manage to get themselves dressed in the morning. We were constantly misled, lied to and had to chase several times for answers on the simplest of questions. Avoid this branch at all costs or expect to have a wild goose chase on your hands. Which is obviously exactly what you want when you're spending your life savings on a house.

    The Bairstow is the worst agency ever. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! Before you decide to use their services, please read feedback as they will cheat on you and not providing services as they should as per contract.

    First of all, Leyton Bairstow agency decline to deal with our issues (as our local agent) as they simply did not want to and that was their damn duty.

    Secondly, they do not manage any repairs etc, you must wait ages and at the end nothing is done. They always state that they must have landlord consent while landlord is completely not cooperative person. They should... (read more)

    When you let through Bairstow Eves you are actually letting through Countrywide! They charged us over £400 in fees when setting up a 6 month tenancy agreement which we were told we would be able to renew when it expired, However at the end of the agreement we were told the landlord no longer wished to let the property, forcing us to find somewhere else to live. Bairstow Eves said if we let through them again we would be charged these fees again - even though the only change in our circumstances was that we had let through them for 6 months! We have found a property through another agent but have now discovered that Bairstow Eves also charge for providing the necessary reference for the new agent. Their fees are far in excess of other letting agents in the area and our new agent tells us that she does not know of any other agent that charge for providing references. I am completely disgusted with them and would never do business with them again!

    To begin with, the property management company you are required to go through for repairs took 2 weeks to send anyone round to sort out a leaking toilet and oven that didn't turn on. Then it was all fine (because I didn't need anything). When it came to giving notice, it turned out I was leaving almost an entire month before my contract ended, so I asked whether there was any possibility I would be reimbursed the overpaid rent (I had paid in advance) .

    The worst estate agent in Colchester. I only used them because the vendors property had been badly market and thus was available quite cheaply. Constant excuses, not returning calls, readvertising when SSTC to get a few extra quid and jeopardising a sale that took over 6 months. On the positive side the vendor was dead straight and the property was refurbished and let by me (not these clowns obviously) three weeks after completion. If you want Clowns go to the Circus.

    If you need rent don't go to Bairstow Eves Brentwood ,Marina is to busy to call you back ,you have to chase her, to busy herself to show a property complains she is always on her own ,not enough staff you listen to her problems when you are the customer the one looking for a home .Bairstow Eve's have staff problems lets hope they go out of business .

    This branch is a joke!!! I dealt with Mark Sharer and found him very aggressive, rude and pushy. Tried to get more money out of me and when realised I am young but not stupid, became angry, spiteful and vindictive. Made his best to ensure my offer is not accepted. His loss. Would never ever deal with this agent again, the rest of the male staff seemed to be the same. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRANCH! They don't care about you, they only care about your WALLET!

    AVOID THIS AGENCY !!!! Absolutly nigthmare to deal with these people. I was renting 2 bedroom flat with damaged wall in bedroom by roof leakages by 7 months .They promised to fixed - nothing done .I had to move out. Writting complaitn without positive result. Im going to make complaint to Property Ombusment on this agency !!!

    what a terrible service. only got us one viewing in 16 weeks. The one viewer said she could tell when she phoned them to book a viewing that they were not a good estate agents. They telephoned me a couple of times throughout the agreement to give me updates which were useless. They gave no click through figures or statistics. Telephoned them ( twice and spoke to two different people) the day before the property was supposed to be removed from rightmove to ensure that it was coming off the site so could go with someone decent who would actually sell our property and they hadnt done it. Terrible!!! I had advise not to go with Bairstow Eves....I won't use their nickname!! I should have listened. Stay clear of these untrained people

    we have been trying to sell our house using this useless bunch. we have been lied to by them telling us they have phoned us at least once a week to let us know what is happening.we have been told that a buyer would be round for a viewing and they don't turn up we have had 6 viewings and not had any feedback at all, we even had an offer made but we were not told what the offer was,even after phoning to find out they told us the person was at lunch and 2 days later he was still at lunch!!! they arranged to come round and discuss what we could do to help with the sale and then phoned an hour before the appointment to cancel. we paid £312 pounds for this lousy service and i would not put my biggest enemy in touch with these incompetant lot.they should be shut down an not allowed to con anybody else.

    What they should be shut down which means more people out of work and on the dole. Get off you high horse. Your house didn't sell because its awful and stinks

    These people contacted me to let them sell my flat which I currently rent out through them. They convinced me that the market was on the up, blan, blah, so I agreed. They charged me £200 to market it which apparently wasn't optional, then used old photos and incorrect info from a previous attempt at selling. They never ever get in touch. It has been 3 months now, and I have had 2 viewings that I've been informed of and 1 ridiculously low offer.

    I don't know how they stay in business to be honest. The customer service is none existent.
