I tried to buy an apartment in Newcastle from this agency. After they recieved an offer from me they simply took it to the other bidder and got another 3 grand out of him on the promise they would not go back to me if he played ball. He did and I was never contacted again. This is highly disreputable practise from a (clearly) highly disreputable firm.

Entered my bank account without notification and took money, leaving me to think my identity had been stolen and my card cloned. When I did eventually speak to the admin he was totally diinterested and rude. Never had any updates from them or calls, needless to say I am no longer marketing my property through these cowboys!!!!

I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. Completely miss sold the property to us in the first place. After paying all of the huge deposit and agreeing a move we turn up with our removal van filled with all our belongings to find that the landlord had moved NONE of her things out of the flat and Bairstow knew this and failed to inform us. We had to put all of our things into storage and couch surf for a whole week! When we did eventually move in a week later the property was still not cleared and the work we were promised would be completed before we moved in had still not been done, windows wouldn't close, crumbling back door, bathroom still not fitted, the list could go on.

After several months of chasing them constantly to get things done around the place we are still no where and are therefore vacating the property. I cannot express how poor the level of service was from every single member of staff we dealt with. Even after reporting all the issues to the head office we still got no where. To make matters even worse, after we told them we were leaving the property they let themselves into it without telling us, went through our draws of personal files to find keys, left the property unlocked after they left and rubbish the in flat.

An appalling estate agent who obviously just do not care about looking after customers or delivering even a reasonable service

I put an offer in for a bungalow at the asking price and the offer was accepted with the understanding that my property would be sold as quickly as possible.

Two days later I was told that someone had made a cash offer for the bungalow that was under the asking price and which was accepted and the sale was to go ahead.

Had I been informed sooner that a cash buyer was in the picture then I would have offered to go ahead with a cash sale (which I was able to do but of course I hoped to sell my property first).. When I told Jamie this I was asked to prove that I had the money. What a cheek!!!!!!!! did he ask the other cash buyer to prove they had the money? I doubt it, and he knew little about them as they do not live in the area.

I feel extremely "miffed" to have lost out through sheer incompetence, lack of information and interest from the word go.

Their website is totally useless, can't gain access to Properties for Sale generally. There is no direct link but is through other websites which just adds to the confusion, as for the google map that just takes you round in circles and gets you nowhere.

The search is limited ie location, should cover all properties from that office but does not.
Bedrooms should be 2 + or 3 +. Price range is per £100000 or £200000 or £300000 - not enough choice.

Get your IT people to put together a better navigation site.

Nick Named "Blasted Thieves" and for good reason. Took the property away from them due to lack of commitment and comunication, I was out of the country and relying on them. Only when I returned unexpectedly and said I was going to change agent did I get ANY sort action. Too late!

You just can't buy a property with them, because they are soooo not straight forward and they lie about other offers. That is why I wouldn't sell my property with Bairstow Eves. I like straightforward agents who don't play stupid games.

Bairstow Eves were most unhelpful letting agent in Slough. When the landlord failed to fulfill some of their obligations then it was left for us tenants to chase the landlords. The place we rented was filthy when we moved in. We had to push for an inventory and even then received no correspondence in respect of that or where deposit is to be held, which can affect statutory protection.

Without a doubt the best agent to use in and around Camberwell SE5. They got me the highest price ever achieved on my road and were professional from start to finish. Their Branch Manager, Jon Cook, is knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. It's a shame that more Estate Agents can't be like them.

Property was already sold (SSTC) but I wasn't told by agent.
If I was told then I would'nt have travelled over 2 hours to see the property, unless I was going to offer more than the asking price.
